L.O.L. Surprise! Summer 2019 Review
Holographic Tote Bag
The first item Bella and I decided to unwrap was this bag since it wasn’t in a pink surprise wrap. This bag is a really great size! It’s a large, holographic tote bag featuring a groovy L.O.L. doll on the front. The bag fits so much and is perfect for any occasion: sleepovers, road trip bag, swimming bag to hold a towel and a change of clothes. Our options are endless! Its probably going to be her sleepover bag since she has so many of them with friends. We just love this bag!
L.O.L. Journal
The next items we opened up at random. I love how each item is a surprise! Bella opened it up to reveal a super glittery journal with an L.O.L. doll who is wearing a retro '60s style dress and white go-go boots and what appears to be her pet duck with the same hairstyle. Bella has recently gotten into journaling so she was pretty excited to see this. The journal has 65 lined pages and a bookmark to save her spot.
L.O.L. Doll Wristlet
Even though the next item is wrapped to be a surprise, we kind of were expecting it since we had looked at the spoilers MSA released a few weeks back. This wristlet is perfect for Bella! It is pink and has all different kinds of L.O.L. dolls and their pets on both sides. The zipper even had a pretty cool L.O.L. Surprise! keychain. When we unzipped it, I was super satisfied to see a clutch attachment. The inside wallet is designed with two sections evenly divided in the middle which is perfect for my 8-year-old since her income primarily comes from tooth fairy money, birthday money or chore money and carries no credit cards. Even if she were to get a gift card, it would fit snugly in the wallet. We both really like this item and think it’s a great inclusion.
When Bella grabbed this one, she instantly said, “I know this is a shirt because of the medium tag.” At least the design of the shirt was a surprise!
"Free Stylin'" Tank Top, size M
This shirt is probably my favorite item in the box. It is a white sleeveless tank with the most adorable L.O.L. on the front in skates. Bella changed right away, pairing the flowy shirt with her tights. The shirt is a little big in the sleeves (I ordered in a medium hoping for that so she can wear it for a little while) so we paired with a sports bra. Bella loved this shirt and wore it for a couple of days with different accessories and hairstyles. I must say, she really rocked this shirt!
"Free Stylin'" Tumbler
The next item we revealed was another one released a few weeks back in a spoiler post. Either way, Bella was just as excited to actually open it and use it.
This tumbler is super adorable! We love the light purple color of the cup and the blue plastic straw it is paired with. It features another adorable L.O.L. doll with Cruella Deville-like hair and her pet. It also says "Free Stylin'" which matches the shirt Bella got. Since receiving this cup, she has used no other cup and has drank more water than ever before. If a super cute cup is what it takes to get her 8 cups of 8oz water, I will take it!
L.O.L. Doll Keychain
Our next surprise was a complete mystery. When Bella opened it she was excited to see a super cute keychain. This one has another L.O.L. doll with the L.O.L. Surprise! logo. Bella said she will attach this to her backpack going into the new school year.
The last item we get to open up is our randomly selected L.O.L. This one is from the pets series and Bella is pretty excited!
Each L.O.L. ball is wrapped not once, not twice, but three times to really extend that opening experience. Each time we open a layer, we reveal little clues or stickers.
Randomly Selected L.O.L. Items
Finally we finished unwrapping the L.O.L. ball. When we opened it up, 4 more little bags fell out along with a litter box, a list with pictures of other pets and an informational pamphlet.
We opened the litter box to discover pink litter (or moon sand). Bella proceeded to open up the little bags.
The first little bag she opened revealed a fancy collar/accessory for our cat (considering we got the litter box, we were 90% sure we were opening a cat).
The second bag revealed a pooper scooper.
The third bag was a bottle in the shape of a milk carton.
And the fourth revealed our kitty cat! She is a pretty kitty, light grey with dark grey stripes. She has big green eyes and a blond mohawk hairstyle.
After we opened up our kitty, Bella began scooping the littler to expose shoes for her. After some careful scooping, she dug out 4 tiny pink and black shoes. Surprisingly, they were pretty easy to put on our new pet.
She looks pretty adorbs with her collar and shoes.
Our kitty also has the ability to do something. In this case, she is able to “drink” and when we squeeze her, water comes out of her eyes allowing her to “cry” and out of her mouth allowing her to “spit.”
After she is done playing, Bella is able to put the kitty, her bottle and little bowl into the yellow circle, then close it up and can carry it around.
She marked off her pet on the list of pets and discovered her name is Purrr Baby. She even put the stickers under Purrr baby to show what she does: cry and spit.
Verdict: This was the first-ever L.O.L. Surprise! Box and we loved everything about it. Bella has been an L.O.L. fan since I can remember and often when I go to Target or Wal-Mart we walk out with an L.O.L. ball. My favorite part of this box was how the items were a total surprise. When we first opened the box we didn’t get to peek at everything and had to open each surprise item individually. It really extended the opening box and made it so much fun. We love this box and look forward to future editions.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Possibly, because the Summer 2019 box shipped in mid-late July. It may be worth reaching out to the customer service team to confirm this will be your first shipment.
Value Breakdown: This box costs $38.00 + $7.00/shipping for a total cost of $45.00, which means that each of the 7 items costs approximately $6.43 each. What a stellar deal!
