Hi Liz
I just went to the ME webpage trying to reserve a winter box but it has a 404 page not found. Do you have any news regarding ME subscription boxes? Have they stopped it?
Thanks

I wonder if they are updating it. I see it too. That’s strange.

Attention!! Anyone that cancelled their subscription check your credit card transactions. I cancelled on July 3rd way before they started billing and they charged me anyways. I emailed them and they are fixing it but if I hadn’t had checked…

Why do people keep commenting that ME got rid of annual subscriptions? It still a choice under the terms of the subscription.

Okay. So I called them. I had just gotten order confirmation of the last box of my annual sub. They have changed to seasonal only. I’ve cancelled.

You cancelled because they only offer seasonal now? Just wondering why?

ME is very perfume-y. I prefer more natural scents from Wholefoods product lines and what not. I love Tokyo Milk, but I do end up gifting a lot of this to my 6 aunts and my many cousins. Saves some shopping time.

I agree with the perfumey comment. This box is very pretty but many of the scents are too overpowering and trigger migraines for me. Great gifts though.

If you were an annual subscriber, does it automatically renew? I have no idea when mine runs out and I’m worried about missing the box. It’s one of my favorite ones!

Didnt they get rid of annuals? It automatically renews seasonal.

I had an annual that I just renewed in June with another annual (before they apparently got rid of them). It did auto-renew. Now when I login to my account and go to “manage subscriptions” it just gives my previous purchase history. So I’m not really sure what happened after they got rid of annuals. I do not remember getting an email about it either, but I suppose I could have deleted it thinking it was just marketing. I guess I would suggest trying to log into your account and seeing if there is still an active subscription or when it is set to expire…and if you can’t, email CS.

It does NOT auto renew and convert to seasonal and if you didn’t log in and sign up for a seasonal membership you will have missed the fall box (like me)….😭😭😭

You should probably email them to find out. I would think they would have sent an email on what happens next, but I would think theh can’t legally do an automatic charge that is different than you originally agreed to. Maybe refer to the email they sent to annual members when they ended annual membership and see if it says anything about renewal.

Since it is sold out, any chance we’ll see full spoilers for the fall box before billing on the 1st?

Per their website, they require a minimum of 3 weeks prior cancellation before the bill date so even if there are spoilers that people don’t like, it’s too late to cancel.

Actually, I just recently cancelled and it was the day before my payment was scheduled to come out of my account and it cancelled it, no problem.
Jenna
I second spoilers before bill date 👍🏻

The winter box sounds tempting! But ME is usually bath/beauty type products and if I’m going to spend $50 on a mystery box of them, I think it’ll be from Fortune Cookie Soap instead!

I brought the Easter FCS LE box for $50 for my dd’s bday this year. There was just no comparison between an ME and the FCS box. We were both disappointed with the packaging, scents and textures of the majority of products from FCS. With ME, I have a hard time throwing away the packaging, it’s so beautiful lol and it’s rare I dislike a scent, but it happens occasionally. Sure, there are product I don’t use, like bath salts, but those are easily given away. Overall, ME is my favorite sub since it began 2 years ago on BF.

They both have pros and cons. ME products are definitely prettier/fancier and make great vanity/bathroom displays as well as fantastic gifts. FCSC is a small, family run business without the fancy big factory packaging but they are constantly creating new scents as well as allowing you to create your own from hundreds of ingredients/scents and new types of products for your home, pets, bath, hair, skincare and even unique little items like “Monster Spray” for kids. They’re reasonably priced with occasional major sales and a great rewards program. Personally I tend to love stronger, longer lasting scents which ME does better than FCSC. However, I am sensitive to some smells and can get migraines or go into terrible sneezing fits and not once in over a year of constantly changing scents have I ever had any kind of reaction to any FCSC scent. So for scent-sensitive people that don’t want to go totally unscented with their bath & body products FCSC is a great fit. But again, I do agree that ME products look better and in some ways may perform better and they most definitely make wonderful gifts and lovely decor.

Yeah, I looked at past reviews of FCS after seeing the comments here and I don’t understand the comparisons. Quality and items seems night and day difference.

Does Fortune Coolie soap send candles and body lotions?
Reply
Dani
They don’t send or even make (to sell separately in their shop) candles very often but they often send their mini whipped cream lotions in monthly subs. They also sell sampler sets of the whipped creams as well as full size, body lotion, body frosting (more moisturizing than the whipped cream), body oil, spray lotions and even stick lotions. The sticks are like twist up deodorants in a clear solid form you just rub on your skin after your shower but before drying off. I don’t use mine the recommended way though. I just keep them on a side table and run them up and down my arms and legs while watching tv. They’re so much less messy than any other type of moisturizer. They’re called “Hydrate Me” and are more commonly created and stocked in colder months from what I can tell.
