Wantable Fitness Edit July 2019 Review
When I signed up for this service, I took a pretty lengthy quiz in which I indicated my price, size and style preferences. I would expect what I receive to be reflective of my tastes, and for these boxes vary quite a bit from subscriber to subscriber. This is a note from my stylist. It explains why she chose the items she picked for me.
This is the invoice of the items they sent me this month. On the right it shows my cost to keep each item. The total comes to $359. If I keep everything, I get 20% off, plus I get my $20 styling fee deducted. That means a potential discount of $91.80. That's a deep discount!
Odyssey Wrap by Shape Active - Cost to Keep $38
I actually have a really similar wrap jacket in black that I completely love, but in pale pink, it is just not flattering. It doesn't look too bad unbuttoned, though. It's a really soft cotton-blended knit, so it is very comfortable, and I imagine if the weather was cooler it would be nice and cozy. But of course, it is mid-summer in the Deep South, so this piece is also profoundly unseasonal.
Woven Short with Welt Pockets by Activezone - Cost to Keep $40
These are pretty basic black shorts, and I love that they have pockets! The synthetic fabric blend does not have any stretch, though, which is pretty much the number one requirement I have for workout clothes. So the question is, keep them as a cute pair of black shorts? Or return them because they are inadequate for workout purposes?
Spacedye Slim Racerback Cropped Tank by Beyond Yoga - Cost to Keep $66
I love almost everything from Beyond Yoga! Their pieces are frequently space-dyed and in gorgeous vibrant colors, like this beautiful burned orange shade. They also have great stretch/compression, yet the fabric blend has a natural fiber feel. That's a rare combination! This tank is just not really flattering on me, unfortunately. It has a built-in bra, though, so that's nice.
Ombre Keyhole Tee by Activezone - Cost to Keep $39
I actually received this same tee in purple from Wantable Fitness a few months ago. I love it! I actually love this vibrant blue color even better. It's a little thicker cotton blend knit than a typical summer tee. The holes along the back yoke ("keyholes") are a stylish detail. But most importantly to me, it is a good length and cut.
Placement Print Leggings by NOLA - Cost to Keep $49
These leggings are really cute! I love the floral placement print! The stripe up the side is a sporty detail. They have a little zipper pocket along the waistband to keep a key or other small object. I wish they had a little more compression, but they are nice and comfortable.
Inspire Jogger by Shape Active - Cost to Keep $78
These knit joggers are super comfortable! I also think the black mesh stripe up the side is a really nice detail. Unfortunately, these are another repeat from Wantable Fitness for me.
Woven Pleated Skirt by Activezone - Cost to Keep $49
This is actually a "skort", not a skirt, as it has built-in shorts beneath the skirt. This is such an unusual piece! I kind of like it! I definitely don't have anything like it. It is a synthetic blend that does not have any stretch, so I'm not wild about that, but otherwise it is really cool! I like the color, and I absolutely love the mesh-lined pleats in the skirt! It's really cute!
The Verdict: I am a big fan of Wantable Fitness Edit, and I enjoy building such a fun workout wardrobe! This month was a fairly typical mixture of hits and misses, but I really like the skort and the blue tee. I just wish they were more careful about sending repeats. It seems like that should be a pretty easy thing to avoid, but it happens fairly frequently with both Wantable Fitness and Wantable Style Edits. The main thing I like about Wantable is that they send seven items because it's just more fun to try seven items than your standard five.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Wantable curates its boxes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!
Value Breakdown: This box cost $20.00 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside was $359. The cost of each item is listed alongside it above, but if I choose to keep at least 5 items, I get a 20% discount. The $20.00 cost of the box would also be applied to the purchase, meaning I’d end up spending $267.20 for the whole box. Ultimately, that’s a savings of about 26%. The average price per piece is $51.29.
