September 2019 No Make No Life Box "Blossoming Beauty" Review

The booklet list gives you detailed information on each item, as well as instructions on how to use certain products. This month's theme is 'Blossoming Beauty.'

Etude House Nose Pack - Retail Value $1.07 (currently sold out)

Ok, I love anything green tea or matcha flavored. And I really, really liked this little patch! It smells like matcha and was a fun green color. It worked pretty similarly to most nose strips. Apply it to a wet face, let it dry, peel away the disgusting yet enjoyable gunk that has been hanging out in your pores. My only complaint? They should have sent more than one!

Spring Eyelash Curler - Retail Value $4.24

I have stick-straight eyelashes and I find that curlers really don't do much other than turn them into stick-straight eyelashes with a dramatic single bend! While this curler is a miss for me, it is really cute!

Glamfox Fleurissant Lip Glow, 35 g - Retail Value $11.91

I have a minor obsession with clear color-changing lip products and I have been wanting to get one of these with the little flower and floating gold flecks! It did not disappoint. It smells so good (like peaches?) and is super smooth on my lips. A few moments after I apply, my lips turn the cutest pink!

This is the shade after a few moments on my arm.

The Yeon Rosy Lips, 14 g - Retail Value $7.55 (currently sold out)

Ooooh! Look at this cute little rose! Inside is a great red balm and the world's cutest petite mirror. This rose shade is well pigmented and has a hint of pink that I like a lot. It has a very faint rose scent.

A beautiful, vibrant shade!

Joteki 10 Second Morning Sheets, 32 sheets - Retail Value $8.69 (currently sold out)

These round wipes smell like citrus and feel really nice on my skin. I tend to keep unscented baby wipes in my nightstand just to refresh in the morning but these are a little more upscale! I always appreciate wipes in subscription boxes because between swatches at home and my routine at night, I go through A LOT.

Etude House Therapy Air Mask in 'Damask Rose' - Retail Value $1.91

I am loving all the rose items this month. Perfect for a floral-centered box! This mask was really nice. It had a traditional rose scent, fit my face well, and left my skin really hydrated. What more can I ask for?

Crayon Touch Me Mascara, 18 g - Retail Value $2.11 (currently sold out)

I don't usually love the mascaras that come in this sub, and this one was just ok. It had a chemical smell that I didn't like and aside from that, it was a pretty basic black mascara. The size was really small and the weirdly angled brush was awkward to use.

Crayon Touch Me Mascara Top Coat, 18 g - Retail Value $2.10

This top coat is meant to add more curl to your lashes, which it did not do to mine at all. I think I would prefer one really great curling mascara than two steps that don't work that well.

Verdict: No Make No Life Box was more exciting this month than last for sure! I love floral-themed beauty products and there were some winners in here, specifically the two lip products. I also loved the mask and nose strip, and used them right after the other for a really fun night of skincare. The wipes are great, and I love that it was a full pack of 32. The eyelash related products were the ones that made less sense in this box, and all three were duds for me. This continues to be a box that breaks about even cost-wise. This box has a value of around $39.58, which is slightly above the subscription cost.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will most likely get the October box.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $35.00 + free shipping, which means that each of the 8 items in the box has an average cost of $4.38.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I got this box for the first time in February and I was so disappointed. Every month before since then has been amazing. But I’m afraid to finally sign up and it’s disappointing. That’s my luck.

I was traveling overseas for several weeks & forgot to renew this sub before I left. I missed this month & I am really bummed because everything in this box appealed to me. Anyway I did renew & am looking forward to next month. I subscribe to way too many boxes & have more high-end products than I can use in a lifetime. This goofy box remains one of my favorites I think because it is so different from the others. Love your reviews.

I see when they changed up the model shortly after I cancelled after one box filled with what appeared to be cheap dollar store items… they didnt get much better. Glad I didn’t resub.
Love your reviews though… Thanks.
