Nomadik "The Craftsman" August 2019 Review
We received a little booklet with a product list and some brand discounts.
There was also a very cool branded sticker. Love the retro vibes!
Survival Frog Outdoor Tesla Lighter - Retail Value $29.97
This is the COOLEST thing I have ever gotten from this box! This windproof, waterproof, and rechargeable lighter uses dual plasma arcs to create instant fire on demand. You can use this 250-300 times (!!!) per charge and if you do find you need more juice, charging only takes a couple of hours via the included USB cable. It is cleverly hung on a neck lanyard with a pully that doubles as a 1200 decibel whistle.
MiniComp II by Sun Company - Retail Value $11.49
This little micro-orienting compass is a perfect size for stashing in your camping or hiking bag, purse, or even in a glovebox. It is small enough to also be looped onto the zipper of your favorite parka if you ever find yourself out at night without GPS. The outer dial rotates so you can keep track of your preferred direction accurately, and the sides even form a mini centimeter and inch ruler. The housing is also fluid-filled, meaning it is more accurate when moving.
1Tac Credit Card Multi-Tool - Retail Value $19.99 (on sale for $14.99)
I have gotten a few of these over the months from this subscription and I have passed them on to Will, my mom, and a close friend. It makes me feel good knowing they have such useful tools at their fingertips. This one is extra small but still packs quite the assortment of tools: can opener, knife edge, screwdriver, ruler, can opener, 4 position wrench, butterfly wrench, saw blade, and more! This one is actually smaller than a credit card and thin enough to fit into a wallet while still being exceptionally sturdy. This one is going to end up in my purse!
Verdict: Nomadik was especially impressive this month, mostly due to the plasma lighter! SO COOL. I also am really thrilled with the mini compass and the tiny multi-tool. This subscription continues to impress with its high quality and incredibly useful curation. The value is also good this month too, totaling around $61.45.
