Beauty Heroes October 2019 Josh Rosebrook Review
Beauty Heroes normally sends a "hero" product with one "sidekick" but this month they've included THREE products from the beloved Josh Rosebrook. There are two cards included in each month's box: 1. A "Discover It Yourself" card that walks you through how to use the included items with other products in Josh's line, and 2. An info booklet on each featured product with the retail price, how to use, and ingredients.
Josh Rosebrook Hydration Boost Concentrate, 0.5 oz. - Retail Value $45.00
This small but mighty bottle of Josh's brand new Hydration Boost Concentrate is the hero this month and the big reveal for his latest product. The star ingredients are aloe vera, Indian senna seed, horse chestnut, horsetail, cacao, and neem. As the name would imply, this cloudy brownish serum sets out to increase hydration of the skin while energizing as well as slowing down it's decline. I love the short chubby white glass bottle it comes in with the accompanying chubby dropper. The instructions direct me to use two drops on my skin after the (also included) hydrating accelerator for optimal results. The serum is thin yet slightly tacky but immediately absorbs while smelling pleasant and soothing (maybe it's the green and white tea). Excited to continue using this one to see more results, but for now, I love the overall ritual.
Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator, 4 oz. – Retail Value $35.00
I received this same product in another sub box a couple of months back and while I was up to my ears in toners and passed it to a friend, I'm glad to have a fresh bottle to use in tandem with the serum. It contains alfalfa, aloe vera, ashwagandha, calendula, and marshmallow root which is said to help plump, protect, and help my skin absorb additional skincare. It has a wonderful almost woody smell to it and feels refreshing as soon as I spritz it onto my face. My skin does feel a little plump and fresh right after. Adding the above serum within 60 seconds is supposed to really be the best way to go about this routine.
Josh Rosebrook Vital Balm Cream, 0.75 oz. - Retail Value $45.00
The third and final Josh Rosebrook product is actually my favorite. I know that the serum is new and exciting, but this balm is WHERE IT'S AT. Why you may ask? Well, blue tansy, of course! This glass pot of thick pale blue balm is the thing my dreams are made of. I dig out a small amount into one of my little claws and begin to warm it up between my fingertips before spreading it on to my eagerly awaiting face. Only the smallest amount is needed before I'm transported to my happy place with this soothing scent that also includes honey, avocado, and others. The botanicals bring a subtle glow to my skin as it slowly seeps in and eventually leaves my skin soft and supple while full of moisture. Ugh- I love it.
Verdict: Beauty Heroes knocked it out of the park this month with their unveiling of Josh Rosebrook's newest serum along with my dream cream and hydrating mist. I love it when I can get a complete skincare routine from one box and this one keeps things reasonably simple with three steps that can be used in the morning and at night. Although this box has a steep price of $58.95, this is the time to start if you've been curious about Josh Rosebrook. Beauty Heroes also does such a great job with curation each month that I'm rarely disappointed in the products or value. This box clocks in at $122 for the three items.
