Collections by Joya October 2019 Review
Collections by Joya includes a card in each month's box featuring a model style with several items from their collection. This is the second model they've shown with stacked pendant necklaces (see last month's inspo in my review, here) and I gotta say, I'm really digging the look. I received one of their pendant necklaces in my August box (see review here) and at the time it didn't do much for me, but now I'm hoping another one or two are sent my way so I can try this look for myself!
On the back is a notice of the new Joya wholesale showroom at Coterie in New York. I'm not sure if it's open to the public, but often the postcards that come in their monthly boxes tell of events that are!
Most months, the jewelry comes inside a canvas pouch. I've built up a serious collection of these guys, but they're awesome for gift-giving and to pack jewelry for travel.

Aretha Earrings, Amazonite — Retail Value $68.95
How stinkin' fun are these? I love the bright blue Amazonite stones (they remind me of turquoise, which is a lifelong favorite) and the way their hammered gold metal bars reach out like sun rays. These are almost like a sophisticated tassel earring—a style which I personally love but I know from you lovely readers that it isn't a favorite for everyone. I think this pair honors the spirit of them while offering something slightly different. I adore them, even with the casual tee I was wearing the day my box came.

Starburst Cuff, Lapis — Retail Value $98.95
May was a lapis-heavy month in my Joya box (see review here), and I was pleased to add a couple of bright, rich blue pieces to my jewelry collection. One of the lapis items I got that month were the starburst earrings, so it's fun to have been sent a matching cuff a little down the line. The stones on this cuff look much deeper than the ones on the earrings do, but I think it offers nice variety.

Emmeline Necklace, Moonstone — Estimated Value $68.95 (Labradorite version found here)
This necklace is more delicate than styles I typically reach for, but the iridescence within its moonstones is really magical. I can't see myself wearing this guy day to day, but I will absolutely save it for special occasions, when I need something understated but beautiful to fill in a neckline.
Here is the gifting box and ribbon that comes almost every month. If you save a little of the sizzle that cushions the jewelry in your subscription, it makes for a nice, festive stuffing for this tube.
Verdict: I'm thrilled over what I received in my Joya box this month! The earrings are extremely spirited, just how I like 'em, the bracelet is a festive addition to the Starburst Earrings I already own, and the necklace is beautiful and special, even if it's not something I'll wear in my regular rotation. Three great scores!
This box costs $49.95, including free shipping. The earrings and two necklaces add up to $237.85. The Joya subscription is always a rockstar value, but this is even better than usual!
