- The Premium Box: 4-6 premium accessories to upgrade your wardrobe for $100/quarter. You must apply and be accepted for this option.

Gentleman's Box October 2019 “Shining Star" Review

Included in our box was an issue of the Gentleman's Post which is basically a booklet that describes the theme for the month and highlights the items included in our box. This month's box is in honor of their favorite Shining Star, Jack Nicholson, and I love the creepy photo they chose for the cover!

Mr. Lapel Tie - Listed Value $24
This was the first time that my husband wasn't too excited by the tie design. The color is nice and it has a good sheen to it, but it is very simple and feels a bit retro. While he isn't too into this tie, it will still be a great one for him to wear to work and it will be easy to find shirts to pair it with!
I think that the design looks much nicer on and it works well paired with his blue slacks!

Hitsu Socks - Listed Value $16
My husband was a big fan of these socks when he saw them. I think the colors and design are great, plus all Hitsu socks are designed by street artists which is even more fun. They are also designed so that there is a specific sock for each foot.

Shades Club Sunglasses and Case - Listed Value $35.00
These sunglasses were included specifically for this month's honoree since he is rarely seen without a pair on his face. I love the old school vibe of these shades from Shades Club (check out our reviews of their monthly subscription). The frames are super lightweight, which might seem like an indicator of the quality, however, the lenses are nice and work well outdoors. The adjustable nose piece ensures a perfect fit and they came with a nice looking case to store them in.
Here they are on my husband. I never would have picked these for him, but I think he's pulling them off!

A.K. Timepieces Watch - Listed Value $50.00
This is a nice, sleek-looking watch that my husband was pretty fond of. It features an alloy case, quartz movement, and a leather band in a nice rich brown color. The design is very simple, but it suits my husband's style and I think this would be a nice one to wear casually or for work.
The face is a great size and looks pretty nice on!

Capsiva Pain Relieving Gel- Buy a 3 oz. tube for $19.99
The last item we received is more of a little bonus since it's a sample. This pain-relieving gel is made from capsaicin which is a natural ingredient that blocks pain signals at the source and reduces inflammation. The recommended uses include headaches, sunburn, muscle, and back pain so I'm sure we will be able to find a use for this at some point!
Verdict: My husband and I both appreciated this the way this month's Gentleman’s Box gave a subtle nod to Halloween and fall from the creepy Jack Nicholson image on our booklet to the various shades of brown. My husband loved the socks, watch and sunglasses this month! While he wasn't overly excited by the tie, it is such a subtle design and neutral color that he will be able to use it for work. The total listed value for our box comes to $125 which is awesome for a $29 box!
