Kinder Beauty Box Natural Beauty October 2019 Review

This month Kinder Beauty is working with Veestro, a vegan meal kit subscription. They included a promo code for subscribers on the back of the card that expires 10/31.

Journey Hair Care Hydration Mask, 3.5 oz - Retail Value $39.95

Since becoming a subscription box addict, I don't think I've had to buy any hair masks myself, and I love it! I use one once every week or so, and this one arrived just in time for a spa-night hair treatment. The first thing I noticed about this mask is that it has a subtle natural/neutral smell that I can't really place; it doesn't smell good, per se, but it doesn't smell bad either. This medium-thick mask was easy to spread from the base of my neck to my ends. You can leave this mask on for 30 minutes for the best results, but I only kept it on for 10. I noticed right away my hair felt detangled and smooth without being weighed down. The scent does not linger, either, which I usually like in a mask, but for this one, it can just go peacefully down the drain, haha.

Ambreesh Cosmetics 24 Karat Lips, in "Own It" - Retail Value $19

Kinder Beauty sampled Ambreesh 24 Karat Lips before, and I remember thinking that it was quite thick and it dried down to a lip-cracking, non-flattering finish. This color is definitely more forgiving as far as texture and finish go, and I think I can actually pull this one off this fall and winter. This formula claims it is water and transfer-proof, which I felt was pretty accurate. It also wore comfortably for about 4 hours until I needed to touch up with some gloss.

NCLA Pumpkin Spice Balm Babe Lip Balm, 0.32 oz - Retail Value $16

I was so excited when I saw this item in the spoilers this month! I love NCLA's nail products, and now I can officially say that I, too, love their lip balm. The presentation alone is chic and beautiful, and luckily, your expectations from such promising packaging are met with a glorious balm on the inside. Just look at that swirl! The barely-there scent/flavor is lovely pumpkin spice, and it feels very slick on the lips. There is nothing waxy about this balm; its texture is quite oily, and it does wonders for dry or chapped lips. I used this to prep my lips for the Ambreesh product above, and I think it did a great job moisturizing.

Andalou Naturals Coconut Water Eye Lift Cream, 0.6 fl oz - Retail Value $19.99

I always love trying Andalou skincare; I've never been disappointed by any of their products, including this eye cream. The texture is more like a cream-gel, and it feels really soothing under the eye. I prefer using a heavier eye cream at night, but I really like wearing this under my makeup during the day. With the help of vitamin C and electrolytes, this product is supposed to brighten, lift and plump a dehydrated eye area. I noticed the moisturizing effects, and hopefully, over time, I will see some plumping and lifting effects, too! Fingers crossed!

Swatches from left to right: Ambreesh lippie in "Own It", Andalou Eye Lift Cream & Journey Hydration Mask

Oars + Alps Cooling and Cleansing Wipes, 2 wipes - Estimated Value $2.29 (Buy a 14 count box for $16)

I was wondering what could possibly make one wipe worth over a dollar, but once I opened the packaging I realized that they are not your everyday wipes. They are huge! One side of the wipe has blue exfoliating crystals that feel great on the skin, and the other side will give your skin a refreshing caffeine boost. Pretty cool! I also love that these wipes are alcohol-free, which is one of my main gripes against other makeup wipes. I still think they are pricy, but I really enjoyed using these two samples.

Verdict: Kinder Beauty Box does it again with another well-rounded box full of outstanding products. All of the items this month really worked for me, and I found some new fall favorites. Using estimated and retail values, October's box has a total value of $97.23 which is an excellent value for a $24 box.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? If the current month's box is still available, it will ship soon after you sign up. Otherwise, you'll be added to the top of the list for the next month's shipment.

I’m a self-proclaimed “cool mom” who loves a little, who am I kidding, a lot of razzle-dazzle. I have been box-obsessed for over 10 years, and I am always on the hunt for new beauty, fun flair and trendy clothing boxes. A fun night for me includes an exfoliating foot mask and a bag of Dot's Pretzels while binging Rupaul’s Drag Race.

I loved the October box. The pumpkin balm was my favorite item. Kinder is a wonderful surprise each month. Top notch customer service, too.

This month’s box was the tipping point for me. Whilst I love the concept, many of the products don’t work for me, mainly due to a coconut allergy. This month, two of the products I couldn’t use due to aforementioned allergy, one (the hair mask) I simply don’t use or need, and the Ambreesh lip colour was ungodly (I received the dark wine) with my complexion. That made the monthly cost just a little too steep for what boiled down to two moist towelettes. I will say that their customer service was fantastic and they refunded me for October and the remainder of the annual subscription which I canceled. All that said, I do think this is a decent sub, it just doesn’t work for me.

This box looks great, but apparently it is sold out. If I were to subscribe today, I would get November’s box. 🙁

Haha, I saw that color in the spoilers and breathed a sigh of relief when I opened my box!

You are SO lucky you got that color of the Ambreesh! I got the Champagne Nights color, which looks like a light gold in the tube, but on my lips it looks like a very light concealer, and it does totally erase my lips! I actually burst out laughing after I put it on (for the last time unless I decide to dress up like a mummy for Halloween). Easily the most hideous lipstick I have ever put on!

This was my first Kinder Beauty box, and despite the horrible lipstick color I plan to keep my subscription, because I absolutely love the pumpkin lip balm and the eye cream. I haven’t tried the wipes or the hair mask yet, but they are both things that will be useful to me.
