LiveGlam KissMe 'Treat Yo' Self' October 2019 Review
This collection is different because one of the items isn't a lipstick: it is a lip crayon in a bright red!
LiveGlam KissMe Lip Crayon in 'Besos' – Retail Value $10.00
My first impression of this crayon is that it reminds me more than a little of NARS Dragon Girl. On my fair skin, it has the same hint of coral hidden in a bright classic red. They also share a somewhat similar texture with a dry velvet finish. Dragon Girl is absolutely a bit drier, but the overall effect is similar, at least on my lips. This crayon can look a little sheer unless you apply loads of it or top it off with a gloss to extend it, but I have to admit that I rather like this color and formula.
LiveGlam KissMe Matte Liquid Lipstick in 'Honey Bun'– Retail Value $10.00
I immediately decided that this color wasn't going to work for me because when I first applied it, it looked really, really tan and off against my skin. This is one of those shades you have to let dry before you decide how you feel about it because as it dried it started to turn into a very wearable nude. It has the same flexible matte finish as all of the mattes from LiveGlam and works especially well under gloss if you prefer a shinier finish. I recently cut, like, all my hair off and toned it to an ash shade, which I think makes nudes easier to wear for sure!
LiveGlam KissMe Matte Liquid Lipstick in 'Pumpkin Pie'– Retail Value $10.00
This shade was easily my favorite this month. I am a sucker for an orange-red and it feels especially perfect for the start of fall. This shade also required a little patience to look its best. It looked a lot more orange straight out of the tube and onto my lips, but within 2 minutes it mellowed down into this gorgeous burnt orange that I will be wearing often this autumn!
Verdict: This month's KissMe collection was pretty awesome! I love the fall appropriate shades and I think the new lip crayon was a really great addition. I like that the LiveGlam team is trying new things to keep our lips looking fresh and on-trend! I also thought the rose gold glitter casing this month was very pretty, especially when combined with the warm fall shades of the lipsticks inside.
