October 2019 Pet Treater Dog Pack Review
This shipment from Pet Treater included 5 items: a gourmet cookie, toy, bag of treats, bandana, socks, and promotional literature.
Look how cute this month’s “Pick of the Litter” is! My kids and I love seeing the pups that get featured on this promotional card! And how cool is it that you can submit a photo, and receive a free item!
The other side of this card has a mission: share photos of your dog in their Halloween costume with their favorite Pet Treater item! I just might have to submit one!
Here we received a promotional card welcoming us to the Teddy the Dog family. We received a 25% off coupon, and the adorable socks seen below!
Trusty Pup Durable Dragon Squeaky Toy
Now this is the kind of toy I am talking about! I love the fact that the label says right on there "Tough 'N Fun" and that it is a durable chew-resistant lined toy. Scout is a heavy chewer, and can chew up a toy in 2 seconds flat. He can't have anything stuffed, because he will have stuffing covering the yard in about 30 seconds. I don't know if it's the bright red color, the dragon design, or the interesting squeak, but after a full 8 hours, this toy is still fully intact! Scout loves his dragon, and has been carrying it with him all over. I am really pleased with the quality and really hope to see more toys like this in the future!
Emmy’s Gourmet Canine Creations Eyeball Cookie - Estimated Value $1.35
I (and my dogs) really look forward to seeing these gourmet cookies each month. I love how well they fit with the theme, and this month was probably my favorite. Halloween is just around the corner, and they really delivered. If a scary eyeball cookie doesn't shout Halloween, I don't know what does! I love that they include the ingredient list right on the front of the package, and that they are packaged really well: I have never received a broken cookie. While Emmy’s website features different shapes of cookies, the eyeball cookie is not for sale. However, I did find these cute ice cream cone cookies that are made of the same ingredients, just shaped differently.
The Pound Bakery Boo Chews
Again sticking with the Halloween theme, we have a good-sized bag of "Boo Chews." These pumpkin cheese dog treats have a pumpkin pie scent, and my dogs loved them. I love that they are made in the USA, and the cute packaging. It really enhances the experience, and I feel good about giving them to my boys.
Pet Treater Scary Eye Bandana
Holy smokes! Guys, we have finally received a bandana with a finished edge! Hooray! I actually really like this bandana; the creepy eyes really make it pop! While I never used to put these on my pups, I have found my puppy Scout actually likes wearing them! I was a little worried it wouldn't really stand out since it's the same color as Scout, but the eyeballs really give it a spooky and fun look! Scout is definitely wearing this on Halloween!
Total Sit Show Socks - Retail Value $12.00
Just when I thought this month couldn't get any better, we received an item for the human! Aren't these socks fun?! I love the "Total Sit Show" phrase, and the picture of the 3 sitting dogs in sunglasses. They really made me laugh out loud. I love myself some wild socks, and these blue and pink crews really deliver. They are super comfortable and have ample stretch- fitting my women's size 10 feet. I am definitely wearing these to school tomorrow!
Verdict: This month of Pet Treater was probably my favorite. My dogs are heavy chewers, and the toy this month is still holding on strong. I also find myself getting excited to see the cookie theme each month, as well as the cute clipart on the dog treat bag. I am also pleasantly surprised they have sent a bandana with a finished edge- this really was a big improvement for me. Not only did we receive 4 really solid items, but they also sent the pair of socks which just blew this month out of the water! If they keep this up I will be thrilled! The boys and I can't wait to see what comes next month!
This month I received 5 items. I couldn’t find any of the exact items online, so just by dividing it out, each item would cost about $3.00. I feel like that might be a little much for the cookie and bandana, but that price for the rest of the items is a steal. I am super happy with this month's items, and feel $15 for the subscription is a really good value.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you’ll receive a collection of pet-approved favorites as a welcome pack. After that, your pet will receive the same monthly shipment as other subscribers. Items vary from shipment to shipment, so you’re not guaranteed the same items as seen here. Standard orders generally ship around the 10th of each month. If you’ve added special requests to your order (allergies, no plush, tough toys, etc.), this may add additional processing and packing times due to the extra labor involved.
