Prose Hair Care Subscription – Should We Review It?

I would love to see a review here on different hair types. I’ve been on the fence about trying it for a while now.

Would love to see other’s experiences. I have straight, thick, long, fairly coarse hair and have tried one full bottle. I wanted to like it so much & don’t know if it is one of the ingredients I chose or what, but it made my hair fall out. I have a fair amount of shedding with normal shampoo too, so at first didn’t contribute it to Prose. Went back to using my old shampoo and shedding decreased drastically. Tried my Prose again and so much hair loss. Would love to know if this happens to others.

I’ve tried this and I have fine, flat, thin blonde hair (lucky me lol). It gave my hair unbearable static. I liked the scent and the idea of it but just wasn’t a win for me.

I’ve tried several custom hair care companies and Prose was my absolute favorite shampoo and conditioner by far, and the only one I re-purchased! I just purchased the hair oil, but haven’t used it yet, and haven’t tried the hair mask, so I’d love to see this reviewed!

Yes, please review. I like the idea of using people with different hair types but also, how about before and after photos?

I have very thick, wavy, oily hair and have tried Function of Beauty. It was fun to customize the color (I chose aqua) and scent (pineapple!).

I didn’t find it was better in my hair over any other (much cheaper) shampoo and conditioner. But I’m enjoying the gorgeous color in my shower and the scent lasts throughout the day.

It didn’t feel watered down which sometimes happens with cheaper shampoo. Now that I’m half way finished with my second bottle, I’ve added water to the shampoo bottle to water it down a bit more. I have found the thickness too thick in the shampoo’s formula. It would just plop into my hand and not move as well as I would have liked when I put it into my hair.

I did order a second set of Function of Beauty as the scent was so nice but I told myself that would be the last time. 😉

I would love to see it reviewed. I read a positive article about it in a magazine but you can’t always trust them to be objective.

Yes and I second using multiple hair types. It’d also be good if you selected scents and I scented to give a good comparison on the smell.

This sounds a lot like the haircare part of Reflect.com, which probably dates me because I think that site’s been shut down for like 15 years.

If you do review it, please use multiple reviewers with multiple hair types.

I tried it out and found it utterly inadequate for thick, curly hair. Smelled good though. So if you are going to review it, pick somebody with unruly hair who has high shampoo and conditioner demands. LOL.

I’d like to see reviews, please. An 8.5 oz shampoo and cond for $50 is steep if the sub doesn’t deliver.

It seems like this and the smoothies that were previously posted would be more of a product review than a subscription review since you are essentially getting the same thing every month. That makes it a little less interesting to me personally so I would vote no here.

I don’t care for expensive hair stuff, I use drugstore items and whatever I get in my subscription boxes. Others might be interested, though.

Is there a savings to the subscription vs. buying one offs?

YES! I’ve wanted to try this but afraid of the outcome.
