Sunday Riley offers a quarterly lifestyle subscription box curated by the editors of their blog, The Sunday Edit. In addition to great beauty and lifestyle items by popular brands, they always include a few Sunday Riley products and this time there are three with one being FULL-SIZE. Squeeee! Since we just received the last box in July, it was a surprise to get another so soon. We reached out to customer service and they told us that it ships every 2-3 months, but they "slightly compressed the schedule this year so that folks who received their first box in late February could still get to experience a full year of boxes." They should have a more definitive schedule for 2020, so stay tuned.
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Sunday Riley Box Sleep Edition Review
I was so worried after not hearing a peep about Sunday Riley since June that it was disappearing. Then I saw the spoilers and rejoiced! The Fall box is here and has a theme of one of my favorite things: SLEEP! There's a nice little booklet that has a page dedicated to each of the nine items included this time around.
Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil, 15 mL - Retail Value $55.00
Gaaahhh I love this facial oil! Many know by now that I have quite the obsession with Blue Tansy mainly because of how wonderful it smells. It also has great properties for the skin like being anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and redness reduction. Together with trans-retinol, avocado seed oil, and chia seed oil, this night treatment aims to reduce lines and help plump the skin so that it looks more youthful. Even though the deep blue color looks daunting, it absorbs into the skin clear after massaging and doesn't leave any hue behind. My face immediately feels hydrated and when I wake, super soft. Excited to see more of the long-term results!
Sunday Riley Slumber Party Deep Sleep Pillow Spray, 1.7 oz./50 mL - Listed Value $18.00
This pillow spray is exclusive to the box and made by SR to help you fall asleep faster. Even though I love pillow sprays, I don't use them enough to set the mood. I think this one may turn the tides for me. The deep blue glass bottle and golden pump are not something I'd want to hide away but feel that it brings something to my nightstand. A blend of lavender, tangerine, orange, and vetiver sets the stage for sleepy times and the fine mist that comes out of the pump doesn't soak my bedsheets.
First off- I simply love the little bubble pouch they put these two minis in. I've already reused it as a travel pouch for my daily supplements.
Sunday Riley Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment, 5 mL - Listed Value $15.00 (Buy 1 fl oz for $105.00)
Moving on- they've included a trial size of Good Genes Glycolic Acid treatment which has a thin, slippery lotion feel to it. It gives my skin sort of a glowy plumpness to it when absorbed and although I don't love the way it smells, it really brings something to the table.
Sunday Riley Auto Correct Brightening and Depuffing Eye Contour Cream, 3 mL - Listed Value $13.00 (Buy a full-size 0.5 fl oz for $65.00)
Auto Correct is another product we've received in a past box, only in a much larger size. The mini has quite a few doses though that should give an idea of if this will work for you. I've been going pretty hard on going out all this week, so using something that should brighten and depuff sounds like a good idea. This has a thicker consistency than the Good Genes and has almost a slight pearlesque finish to it (which does some of the brightening). It feels lovely around my delicate eye area as well.
Sunday Edit Sleep Edition Guide - Listed Value $15.00
The Sunday Edit team made one of these for the Travel box back in May as well and I have to say that I think they do a great job. Giving it a $15 value is a little much, but I do think there is a wealth of good info here and the design is really well done. It's a great workbook for when you can't sleep and has a ton to read so it makes me wistful for when I used to buy magazines a lot to pore over. The cover has a matte feel with holographic accents and a cute illustration that matched the sleep theme. Inside there are a lot of tips on how to get a good night's rest, an outline on the best Sunday Riley products for your night routine, hotels around the world that offer realizing vibes, a dream journal, and more.
Luna 48" x 72" Weighted Blanket, 5 lb weight - Listed Value $67.99
I was super pumped to see this item included since I've been wanting to try a weighted blanket for years. Since this particular blanket was made especially for the Sunday Riley Box, an exact match isn't available on the Luna site but here is a link to the size we are dealing with.
The size included is a "full" and more than covers me when I sleep, though of course doesn't lay across my entire queen bed. From what I gather, a lot of weighted blankets aren't necessarily designed to cover more than one person at a time and since I'm a single gal this is perfect for me. In the photo above, I had to have Andy hold the blanket up since I was a bit too short. For reference, he's 6'1" and my blanket is about an inch or so larger than the standard 48 x 72" sizing. The outer shell is 100% cotton and it's filled with glass beads distributed evenly into smaller areas to weight it with polyester wadding for filling. It seems like the main difference in this one compared to the offerings on their site is that the cotton is not labeled as organic on this one and is only 5 lbs as compared to the 12 or 15 lbs offered on the site. The suggested weight is roughly 10% of your body weight but I found this 5 pounder to be extremely cozy and it made me feel secure. I used it on top of my down duvet and fell asleep pretty quickly. The included booklet suggests "easing in" by only covering half of your body for 5-7 nights but I went full-coverage right away. The edges of the grey blanket also have 8 loops that can allow it to be securely fastened to a cover if you so choose to get one.
Sachajuan Overnight Hair Repair, 100 mL - Retail Value $50.00
I've been reviewing a lot of hair care this month so I added this one into the queue to see how it worked out. Keeping with the theme, this is an overnight hair repair mask which I can't say I've ever used before. The bottle and pump are really nice and it has a super simple label which makes sense coming some Sweden whom I regard as having excellent aesthetics. This did add an extra step to my nighttime routine since I had to wash my hair at night which I never do and then add to my damp hair like I would a leave-in conditioner. I was afraid my hair would be goopy and it'd mess up my sheets but surprisingly the opaque cream was really light and it felt almost like I had nothing in my hair at all. I don't usually go to bed with wet hair either since it always dries in a strange way that isn't appealing but of course I had to take one for the team with this one. I woke up with slightly misshapen hair, but it did feel well-conditioned and soft. The box says that you CAN rinse it out if you want, but it's not necessary. Since I was already running late for work, I just tried to reshape my hair and go with it in. I don't think this product changed my life, but it may be a nice treatment once in a while when I have extra time in the evening.
Slipsilk Sleep Mask in Pink, - Retail Value $50.00
I've purchased and received many sleep masks in my day since I need complete darkness to sleep (especially while traveling). This one has to be the creme de la creme. It's made with the highest grade (6A) long fiber pure mulberry silk and is generously padded for ultimate comfort. It didn't feel too tight around my head and the soft silk wasn't harsh or irritating in the least to my eyelids while wearing. It's like wrapping a cloud around your face before sleep. The mask Sunday Riley includes came in a pale pink which isn't really my preferred color, but also- I'm not really going to be leaving the house in it. I've decided to keep this in the nice box next to my bed and use my other masks to travel with since this one just seems so special.
White Navajo 3-Inch Dream Catcher by Mae Stone - Retail Value $16.99 (Listed Value $21.99)
When I first saw that a dream catcher was included in this sleep box, I gave a bit of a side-eye until I saw that is certified authentic and made by Native Americans. This particular beautifully crafted one was handmade in New Mexico by Navajo artist Mae Stone and her family. The hoop is 3 inches in diameter, is wrapped in incredibly soft white leather and adorned with dyed white feathers and white glass beads. I've never seen an all-white dream catcher before and think it's just gorgeous. To use this correctly, it's meant to be put at the head of your bed, or near a window so that it can catch any bad dreams that may try to come to you in its web. The good dreams will make it through the center hole and rest in the feathers before evaporating when the sun comes up. Any leftover bad dreams are trapped and burned up by the prayer beads. That sounds fantastic to me.
Verdict: I really quite liked this installment of the Sunday Riley Box due to the theme and high-end items. I was most excited for the weighted blanket since I'd been wanting to try it and am happy with the size of it. I'll probably use it on my couch to make me feel extra cozy this fall while watching movies. I also really enjoyed the luxurious sleep mask and the deluxe size Luna night oil. Even though this box might seem a little lighter than past ones, I think the curation is still dynamite and they included high price points and brands I want to try. I can also appreciate that they made sure to include an authentic dreamcatcher handmade by native people which has beautiful construction. All in all this box has a retail value of $300.98 which is three times the cost!
