lip gloss is horrible–please choose more universal colors!

i have been getting the box since October and have yet to receive the items that were supposed to be in it. and when they mess up . I have to wait 4 weeks to get what they forgot. I am literally paying for samples i could get for free from Sephora and online . but at least Sephora gives you 3 samples a day every day if you go down to the shop.

Got my December box today. I really like the pallet. So soft and sweet. The lip gloss is really ugly. I be giving it away.

Reply ButtonReply

anna

The lip glosses are always ugly. Another dark dreary color, number 3 in the trash.

SquirrelyGirl

Donate them please. Women’s shelters really appreciate them

Julie

I just got my Allure December (I mean, I think it’s the December box since it’s December but I didn’t get any of this nice stuff!) and it’s pretty bad. No Anastasia products at all, and the only full size product I got was e.l.f primer. Yeah that’s the $3 stuff at target. What the??

Reply ButtonReply

Sherri

I think that might be the November box. The November box had the Elf putty primer in it (which I hear is pretty amazing, actually).

Jackie

That’s the November box. I’ve heard a lot of ppl commenting on getting their first box and it not having any ABH, but thinking it’s the December box cuz it arrived in December. If you placed your order in November, you’ll get the November box first, it generally takes 2-3 weeks to get your very first box. You’ll get the December box, most ppl get it the second or third week of the month (earlier if you get it through Amazon). If your box had elf primer/cleanser and a Tarte lipstick, it’s the November box……

JuJu

And is $8, btw.

After a lot of thought, I have decided to skip this month. The only product I would like is the FAB, and most likely it is one of their products I already have. That’s my luck with Allure. Many people will love the full size items, but the highlighter and the lipstick are not items I use. They are the two items I am opted out of with IPSY, my other sub. Wish I could do the same with Allure. So for me, I am just going to avoid the disappointment. I have now skipped 3 times since July. Before then, I had never done it.

juliasapp1

Same. I have no use for the full size spoilers. I subscribe through Amazon so it is super easy to skip. I almost canceled, but I’m going to see what the new year brings. If I don’t like a few spoilers for Jan, I’ll cancel.

Lisa

Amazon already has the spoilers up . The are sending FAB moisturizer which does not look full size, the wine colored ABH and Christophere Robin hair product.

Libs

I hope I get the FAB Primer, because that would make the box worthwhile for me since I use it regularly. I won’t use the palette or the lipstick, but definitely look forward to trying the texturing spray and brow gel. Is it just me, or does it bother anyone else when you get color cosmetics in a box that totally don’t work together? When it’s such a mishmash like this box, it really just feels like leftovers.

Allure used to be my favorite beauty box. I haven’t seen one I wanted since May though. It seems to have become heavy on makeup and I prefer skincare. No skincare at all in a December box? Unbelievable. And months of weird dark brown lipstick? It is not for me any more.

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

This says full spoilers, but there’s only three products. Does that mean we aren’t getting the usual 5-6?

Reply ButtonReply

Lisa

The First Aid beauty is the 3rd full size item we just don’t know which product and the varient is OUAI, Christophe Robin , Briogeo, OR Oscar Blandi. One full size First Aid beauty product will be in all boxes and 1 hair care product.

Reply ButtonReply

SquirrelyGirl

The other two spoilers are in the bottom picture. It’s the FAB coconut primer and Ouai hair spray (but I believe this is a variant)

Reply ButtonReply

Ash

I either love that primer or…. it makes my face breakout. Also pretty sure that’s my second ouai texture spray from Allure but I might be wrong. I hate texture spray. Does anyone know how to use it without making your hair look disgusting?

Reply ButtonReply

RoguesEn3D

I use texture spray at my roots, in layered sections around my crown. I wait a few minutes after spraying and then comb or finger comb through lightly, then style. I have fine hair, and texture spray does wonders for volume.

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

No. I’m with you. It’s an awful product. No practical use. If someone wants to look as if they’ve just rolled out of bed all day, then texture spray is the product to use.

Reply ButtonReply

fetchingmommy

If you’ve stayed subscribed from the time you received the Ouai texture spray you shouldn’t receive it again. There are other variant items for the hair product like Christophe Robin, Briogeo and another I can’t recall.

Anusha Manglani

The link isn’t working 😭

tammy g.

well i’m going to put December on hold..nothing looks good for me this month..

Reply ButtonReply

Hallie

The only I’m excited about is the brow gel. I’ve seen the palette and the liquid lips at TJMaxx. It feels like this is just another way for ABH to get rid of items that aren’t selling. The other items have already been in previous boxes. December is usually the best box and this one is disappointing in my opinion.

Reply ButtonReply

Rosette

Excited to get this but ugh. I don’t like when they do variants that aren’t even the same type of product. Hair spray vs primer? Bruh.

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

This says full spoilers, but there’s only three products. Does that mean we aren’t getting the usual 5-6?o

Reply ButtonReply

Pink5

The FAB will be either the primer or a moisturizer.
The hair care will be either Ouai, Christophe Robin, or Oscar Blandi.
I’m not that excited there will be variants, but with the number of beauty boxes that exist, it might be hard to get enough units to roll out identical boxes.

Lisa

The primer is the 3rd full size product it is not a varient. The OUAI is there is a list of other hair care you might get Briogeo and I forget other brands.

Reply ButtonReply

Ash

Where did you find this info?

Charlotte

Wow, this is the first Allure box in ages I’m actually excited about. Love ABH and FAB.

Reply ButtonReply

Cary san

Looks great planning to get just for the liquid lip. Not a fan of highlighters so may gift. Hoping for full size FAB 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole McCollum

This is an awesome box for $10!!! Yes please!! I need a backup of that palette!

Reply ButtonReply

Leslie Jaramillo

Why do they have to put that giant palette of illuminators? I don’t need that more illuminators, those tones are not friendly my dark skin tone. This box is a no for me. Allure failed us again in December.

Reply ButtonReply

RoguesEn3D

I don’t want to seem as though I’m disagreeing with your personal preference, but I think those highlighter colors are gorgeous on darker skin. Like Northern Lights. Absolutely beautiful.

Reply ButtonReply

RoguesEn3D

Oh please oh please oh please let me get the Ouai! My hair loves Ouai. The December box will likely be the best beauty box I’ve ever received. Sephora and ipsy never got anything right for me, Birchbox is hit or miss. Boxycharm was great for a long time, then it started to feel the same every month, and that same was Blah. If I receive a bright Tarte lipstick in my November Allure box this will be the best sub box run (Sept-Dec) I’ve had in over a year.

Reply ButtonReply

Dawna

Not only are these spoilers old news that have already made the rounds in every other sub, but they’re variations. One or the other. No variations was the main attraction to me for this sub. I miss the old Allure.

Reply ButtonReply

Leah

Anyone else wondering what the heck those swatches were in the first spoiler post?? Items look good but none of them resemble the swatches we saw…

Reply ButtonReply

SBR

I have been wondering the same thing…

Reply ButtonReply

Ashley

Maybe they will be including a mystery 6th item.

Jen

Thank you so much for giving me credit for the heads up! Love MSA and loving next months box!

Reply ButtonReply

Angel

I love Allure’s November box that I just received. I got the Tarte lipstick in Surf’s Up. It’s a nude pinky brown, which is my preference. The ELF poreless primer works great. I’m excited for Decembers box. I already have the ABH Moonchild and it’s beautiful, so I’ll be giving it away for Christmas. I don’t have those liquid lipstick colors and I am looking forward to it. It’s the perfect shade for winter.

Reply ButtonReply

Mary

I got Surf’s Up also, and nude pinky brown is normally NOT my preference (I like bright colors) but I put it on and I absolutely love it.

Reply ButtonReply

Taylor

I’m so bummed because I got a super dark red that I can’t wear and we are getting super dark reds next month. I really miss how the Allure box always had more wearable colors.

Reply ButtonReply

RoguesEn3D

I received that Surf’s Up color, but wanted the red. I will never use that nude color.

I hope there aren’t any other variations on the lipstick for December. I was very disappointed with November’s box. The nude lip was discouraging because I always receive those, and I also received something that I had already gotten in October’s box.

Nat

Easy pass. Lipstick is way too dark for me. I use highlighter daily, but more natural colors. Hopefully January is better

Here is what i read in an article from Allure this am:

As far as what you’ll find in the December box, each one features three products from Anastasia Beverly Hills, including two full-sized offerings. You have the beloved Moonchild Glow Kit, which is full-sized and a $40 value, a full size of the best-selling Liquid Lipstick in Bohemian or Trust Issues ($20), and a mini version of the Clear Brow Gel. It also contains one full-sized product from First Aid Beuty, as well as a hair product from Ouai, Christophe Robin, Briogeo, or Oscar Blandi. Oh, and there’s more: If you sign up as a new member, you get a mini MakeUp Eraser, too. As if this wasn’t all enough, members also get exclusive access to special discounts on ABH products.

Reply ButtonReply

Charlotte

Sounds good to me! I wonder if the Christophe Robin product is their salt scrub; I’d love to try a sample of that.

Reply ButtonReply

JackieCupcake

I hope the mini makeup eraser isn’t the Barbie sized one. Lol.

Thank you for the update!

Reply ButtonReply

Salena

I just bought the FAB priming moisturizer but this is holy grail for my dry skin which will be even drier in the winter months so having a backup will be nice. It smells so good too. I use a matte foundation over it and my skin still feels dewy and hydrated so it definitely is a must have for people with dry skin. Also love ABH too and Ouai. I will resubscribe in December. Any good promos out there?

Reply ButtonReply

Serenity

Right now you can get a 25 piece bundle with a 3 month sub from msa

JuJu

Sounds good to me!

I’ve been unsubscribed I think since April, so I’ll be a “new member”. 😊

Reply ButtonReply

Pink5

Not excited for the FAB or Ouai items, since I don’t use either.

I like both of the ABH lip colors, so I have them saved to my Sephora list for probable later purchase.

Reply ButtonReply

Madeleine

Is the FAB primer full size?

Reply ButtonReply

Pink5

From what others are saying, yes.

Denise Atkinson

Lol I’d rather have those that any of the Anastasia…different strokes lol

Reply ButtonReply

Dea

Hoping for a spoiler of a fifth (one more) product, since I don’t care for either this FAB item or anything Ouai, so that will be gifted. Allure still makes it a great deal each month! Poor Birchbox cannot even come close.

Reply ButtonReply

Joy B.

Lol Birchbox is my absolute favorite subscription box! I actually have two subscriptions to them I love them so much. I guess it’s a good thing there are several boxes since people are different. I love Allure too though. I look forward to it every month.
