Birchbox was one of the very first beauty subscription boxes—we’ve been reviewing it since 2012! Each month, subscribers get a new mix of 5 beauty samples, such as makeup, skincare, haircare, and fragrance items. I haven’t been a subscriber for YEARS and I had received at least 6 of the items in the first box when I was a subscriber. They really stopped trying….

This is the equivalent of 2 monthly boxes and a point redemption item. Not worth it at all. Birchbox is so meh. I subscribe but am never excited to get it. Just don’t mind it because of the low cost and the customization and swap options. Boxes that send full sizes have just ruined things for me as far as getting any satisfaction from tiny samples. I use to not mind them. Spoiled I suppose.

I’ll be waiting until these head to the sale section. Speaking of, the sale items are now 40% off, and they added a bunch of new kits there! You can also add the mystery sample pack, and another free item (with $35, $50, etc. purchase) as well!
My wallet is not too happy with me about the last couple weeks though… lol.

If it didn’t have an eyeliner, mascara or eyeshadow stick in it… I would have jumped on this.
I just have way too much stuff I guess.

I count 6 things out of the 14 that have shown up in my monthly boxes. My annual sub isn’t up until March, I’m sure I’ll have received most of the other ones in boxes by then, lol

Oh no. Birchbox did this last year. Not worth it in my opinion.
