Every month, Birchbox sends samples (and sometimes full-sizes) of new and exciting beauty products from top brands for $15/month. They allow subscribers to pick between a curated box (all samples revealed) or a single sample choice with the rest of the items arriving as a surprise. Birchbox is one of the original beauty subscription boxes and is a great way to discover new makeup, hair care, and skincare products without breaking the bank.
This review is of the "Mighty Multitaskers" curated box.

Birchbox November 2019 "Mighty Multitaskers" Curated Box #4 Review
There are two info cards in this month's Birchbox. One details the included six items. The other card talks about how to get a free makeup brush kit with a $75 shop purchase.
Too Cool For School All-In-One Egg Mellow Cream, 0.35 oz. - Estimated Value $7.41 (Buy a 1.76 oz. full size for $36)
I've been seeing this Korean brand around for years but never actually tried it 'til now. I admit I'm drawn to the whisking egg imagery and the words "mellow cream" make me feel hydrated just reading them. This light yellow cream smells sweet and reminds me of creme brulee. It has a really nice thick but moisturizing texture to it and immediately makes my skin feel soft and juicy.
JUARA Coconut Illipe Hand & Nail Balm, 0.27 oz. - Estimated Value $2.16 (Buy a 2.5 oz. full size for $20)
This hand and nail balm is quite nice! It's really thick and hydrating which is just what I need, especially for my cuticles, now that it's dropping below freezing. My hands get really dry this time of year and it's easy for me to ignore the care my nails need. This is easy to toss into my bag so I can use it while I'm sitting in traffic. It has a nice cocoa butter smell too which is reminiscent of sunnier days.
Marcelle Micellar Water for Normal Skin, 1.7 oz. - Estimated Value $2.14 (Buy a 13.5 oz. full size for $17)
I mean, nothing groundbreaking here. Micellar water is nice as a step in the regimen to get any leftover dirt that your cleanser may have missed before adding serums and moisturizers. This is a handy little size for travel so I'll pop it into my skincare bag.
Beauty Protector Protect and Detangle, 1 oz. - Estimated Value $3.75 (Buy a 2 oz. travel size for $7.50)
Oh yea, this leave-in hair spritz definitely makes combing damp hair a whole lot easier. It just makes my brush glide on through. It also protects my hair against heat damage so it came at the right time now that it gets cold and I use my hairdryer more. I also noticed less frizz after using this once my hair has dried.
Jane Iredale Just Kissed Lip & Cheek Stain in Forever Pink - Buy a 0.10 oz. full size for $28.00
While I don't really think of this as a "stain," I rather like it. This didn't look like it'd have a hue at all but it's one of those neat color-changing sticks. The pale clearish pink (although looks peach above) stick turns to a soft pink on my lips and smells very much like candy. I don't really like it as a cheek stain just due to the texture of the stick, but it does give a light pinched look to them. This feels like a hydrating balm and is great for days I want a more no-makeup look.
MAC Strobe Cream in Pinklite, 0.20 oz. - Estimated Value $3.20 (Buy a 1 oz. travel size for $16)
When I got a sample of this a while back for the first time, it was described on the info card as a moisturizer which actually worked quite well. This gives my skin a soft illuminating glow and can be added to BB cream, foundation, or used as a highlighter to accent those cheekbones! It's quite subtle but buildable so you can make it bolder if need be.
Here is the Just Kissed Lip & Cheek stain (top) and the Strobe Cream (bottom).
Verdict: This curated Birchbox didn't really blow my mind and had several products I'd tried before, but all are useful. I think the best items are the egg mellow cream, nail cream, and hair protectant. The lip stain is nice too but also so tiny I feel like I'm going to lose it pretty quickly. This box also doesn't have a terribly large retail value. I'm not able to tell what size the lip stain is since it isn't marked, but without it, the value of the other five items is only $18.66. For a $15 box, and knowing the values other Birchboxes have, this one isn't the best value.
