Ipsy is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. Each month you get full-size or deluxe-sized products, plus a cute makeup bag.

This is one of Liz’s top recommendations if you are looking for a subscription box – the value and sample sizes are amazing. (Check out our list of the best beauty boxes for 2019 and our reviews of Cheap Subscription Boxes for more recommendations!)

(FYI – Just like Birchbox, Ipsy sends out many different variations of their bag each month – so my review is just one of the bag variations you might receive!)

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

My Ipsy Glam Bag November 2019 Review

My bag this month features makeup, skincare, and nail polish. Let’s see what I got!

A card with information about the month's theme, your included items, and other Ipsy info is provided.

Each month, Ipsy subscribers get a makeup bag in addition to their items. This month's bag is tan leopard print with a suede zipper pull and a brown lining. Super cute!

Murad Essential-C Day Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 30 | PA+++, 10 ml - Estimated Value $11.36 (Buy a 1.7 fl oz full size for $58.50)

I use a facial sunscreen with at least 30 SPF every day, so I love trying new products like this. The light lotion feels nice layered over my other skincare products and, though it has a slight white cast at first, rubs in completely clear. It leaves a velvety smooth finish – almost like a primer – and has a light citrusy scent. I think it's a great product for normal/dry skin but may be too rich for oily skin.

Verso Skincare Hydration Serum, 10 ml - Estimated Value $33.25 (Buy a 1 fl oz full size for $95)

This is the product I picked for my bag this month, and I'm so glad I did. This super-lightweight, watery serum is packed with skin-nourishing ingredients like ceramides, fatty acids, and hyaluronic acid to hydrate skin instantly and keep it feeling great all day. I notice that my skin feels less dry and tight mid-day when I layer this under my moisturizer. My only concern is the strong fragrance. Luckily it doesn't irritate my skin or eyes.

Layla Cosmetics Layba Nail Polish in 1012 Sexy In Jeans, 5 ml

I love the unique blue-gray shade of this nail polish. The formula is thin but not runny and provides full coverage with one coat (although I always apply two). I love that it has a self-leveling quality to it and that it performs just as well on my toenails as my favorite polishes. FYI: I don't judge based on fingernail wear time anymore since no regular polish lasts longer than a day.

Lovecraft Beauty Blush in Dauphine, 4.7 g - Estimated Value $13 (Buy the full-size palette for $39)

This is the second powder cosmetic product I've tried from Lovecraft Beauty and I enjoy how smooth and velvety they are. This muted apricot tone is perfect for me in the fall/winter when I like to tone down my blush. It isn't shimmery but gives me a glowy look.

Gigi Gorgeous Turnt Touch-Up Powder in Translucent, 2.9 g - Estimated Value $9.25 (Buy a 6.9 g full size for $22)

I've tried this powder as both a setting powder after applying my foundation and touch-up powder during the day, and it works well as both. The slim compact and mirror make mattifying on the go easy. I notice a hint of white when applied with a heavy hand, so using a fluffy brush works best.

Here I have on the Lovecraft Beauty blush and Gigi Gorgeous powder, and, after a full day's wear, both are still going strong.

Verdict: I love that Ipsy Glam Bag has started letting subscribers choose one of the items included each month! This month, all of my products worked well for me and my favorite is the Murad SPF moisturizer. The total value of the products in my Ipsy Glam Bag is $69.17. I think it's great to be able to try all of these products for just $12 a month.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You'll likely start with December as your first month. As of publication, there was no Ipsy waitlist.

Good to Know: Ipsy sends out variations. You may get a completely different assortment of items than me.

Value Breakdown: At $12 for this box, each of the 5 items (not including the makeup bag) has an average cost of $2.40.

I LOVE the Verso serum (my pick) SO much that I have bought six more on various auction sites. I had rough patches on both cheeks, like fine sandpaper, and this stuff worked a one day miracle. Love love love it.

This is the exact bag I got!

The only issue is I have dark hair, blue eyes and red toned skin so while that blush is gorgeous on you, it’s atrocious on me Like 1 star dont-ever-send-that-color-again horrible.

The only other thing was even tho the Gigi collab was not as bad in quality as tetris or boop, I still reviewed that poorly because I still don’t want cheap Chinese ipsy branded makeup. And even though it’s better, we’ve gone from horrible to not great, so still a product I would not like to see again

I never wear blushes because my cheeks are already naturally rosy, but I got the Lovecraft Dauphine one too! I actually purchased it as an add-on, it was just such a pretty peachy color that I thought it might be suitable for my skin tone without making my cheeks look too red, and it is an absolutely gorgeous shade! It actually tones down the kindness of my cheeks and gives a healthy glow, I love it! Also a little bit goes a very long way so it will last for a long time.
