I also love their rosehip seed oil, but I already got a backup of it. It’s lightweight and absorbs beautifully. One of the best facial oils for my oily and acne-prone skin.

I really liked their skincare products when I got them in their sub boxes in the past. Would totally repurchase their sleeping mask and cleansing oil if I weren’t on product overload.

The only think I really liked from them is the milky serum. I would always get it in the subscription monthly. With this 50% off sale they must have pulled that milk off their site. I can’t find it anywhere. Too bad, money saved.

First of all, this sale isn’t that great. We used to be able to get $2 polishes back in the day.

Secondly, who wants to support them? Julep has alienated almost all of their former loyal customers after the whole debacle with kiboshing saved Jules without any notice.

Thirdly, since their bankruptcy, it’s doubtful they’ve manufactured any new stock- although they’ve recently repackaged it to make it look new. So buyer beware – anything you order could be YEARS old. It’s not a big deal if it’s cheap polish, but I wouldn’t be ordering anything that goes on my face.

And finally, Julep used to ship free to the US and Canada. They started charging to ship to Canada a few years ago…. now to add insult to injury, they don’t even ship to Canada anymore! Pathetic!

I know that they recently partnered with Target and the packaging is all new so I’m sure they’re manufacturing more now to keep up.

Don’t fall for it. They’ve taken old stock and put it in new packages before….

Melissa

Juelp was bought out by another company, Glanasol, and that is the one that went bankrupt.

They probably haven’t manufactured any new polishes, but many of the polishes that they have remaining are relatively new – introduced in 2018.

They have also introduced brand new skincare products.

Just getting the facts straight.

Very few of these skincare products are “brand new”. I too suspect that a lot of these products are very old….. partially because when they FIRST came back and had a 70% off sale, I bought one of their pressed serums, and it smells like it is well past fresh.

If you have actual facts, please cite your sources.

I saw this in my email too and just ordered a bunch of my favorites and a few new things! While I don’t use their nail polish I do like their make up products.

Is there a problem with their nail polish? I really love how it looks and the colors, but I know they went through some sort of subscription changes a bit back? I’m just very out of hte loop lol

Personally, I loved their polishes and did not have any issues, and they had many beautiful colors. I think I have over 500 of their colors.

The subscription changes weren’t about the polish. I don’t remember all the details, but the founder sold the company to some other company called Glanasol, which in turn went bankrupt. That is when the subscription boxes were halted.

They are sorta kinda trying to rebuild, and they have introduced some new skincare products, but no new polish colors since about a year ago.

For me, their nail polish and the oxygen stuff especially damages my nails. I have quite a number of ridges now that mark various times I put it on, and my nails are only slowly recovering from how brittle it made them. The colors were nice, though! And I don’t think the nail damage is a problem most people have, I’m not sure why the Julep polishes were so bad for my nails.

Some of the older ones that came in the bonus kit were gloppy and didn’t apply well. I could imagine that most of this stuff would be older stock as well since they went through the transition.

I’m debating whether to get some stuff from Laura Geller this morning since they also have a BF50 sale.

Paula S

Be careful…. that stuff is VERY OLD STOCK

Thanks for the heads up, I’ll definitely make sure the stuff I receive is not old. I’ve ordered since they stopped doing the sub boxes and I’ve been satisfied with the lipsticks that I have received. Hopefully this stuff I ordered is in the same great shape. It was mostly their oil cleansers and two lipsticks and a make up bag.
