KitNipBox November 2019 Review

KitNipBox has monthly themes. Around holidays, they are holiday themes, but you can never predict what it’ll be at other times. This month it was a comic book theme:

The information card included a list of items in the box. They included values and I have used a lot of these below because KitNipBox toys can be hard to find for sale online.

Kitnipbox November 2019 Wand

Lasso Wand - Listed Value $7

There's often a wand toy in this box. This seems like more of a whip than a lasso (no loop, although I'm also not up on my Western terminology) but at any rate, the feathers at the end and the fuzzy texture of the rope part were hits -- even Madison showed some interest.

Kitnipbox November 2019 Cape

Playful Pet Supercat Cape Accessory - Listed Value $7

Sneaky would not let me put this on her but I got it on all of the boys. You can see pictures below. It seems to work for a wide range of neck sizes.

Kitnipbox November 2019 Kicker

LEAP Catnip Comic Kicker - Listed Value $5

This is on the small end for a kicker, which makes it a good size for Monkey. I catch him playing with toys like this in the morning when he decides he'd like to hang out in our home office (where there is sun coming through the windows at that time of day), so that's where I've put it for him to find and enjoy.

Kitnipbox November 2019 Comic Book

Safemade All Nip Comic Book - Listed Value $6

Sneaky was very interested in this, which was a bit of a surprise but whatever works. I didn't get good pictures because all she did was lick it and rub her face on it, but the important thing is that she seemed to be having fun.

Kitnipbox November 2019 Boinks

Kitty Boinks 3-Pack - Retail Value $2

You compress these and let them go flying. Someone (I don't know who) has already been bringing them out of the office and down the hall. I have to watch out so the dog doesn't get ahold of any of them. Anyway, I guess they have some toy value on their own in addition to the interactive component.

KItnipbox November 2019 Drink

All for Paws Purr Inducing Energy Drink Toy - Listed Value $5

This has some interesting metallic (but soft) texture on the ends and a rattle inside. It's smaller than a kicker and could be tossed around by a larger cat or wrestled with by a smaller cat. This one's been put in the home office as well since it makes noise and I don't want anyone to discover it in the bedroom at 2AM.

Kitnipbox November 2019 Treats

Emerald Turducky Dental Treats (3 oz) - Retail Value $3.99

These are crunchy, fish-shaped treats that are supposed to be good for dental health. They do have a little bit of turkey and duck but those are not the main ingredients. Sneaky really likes them. I can't say how well they work to improve dental health because my kitty with bad teeth (Angus) can't have them due to his IBD. But they are just fine as regular treats.

Here are some kitty pictures for you:

Kitnipbox November 2019 Angus 1 Kitnipbox November 2019 Angus 4 Kitnipbox November 2019 Angus 3 Kitnipbox November 2019 Angus 2

If you are wondering why Angus is in a cone again, well. One night last week I came up from the basement after exercising; my husband had been out walking the dog. And Angus was cowering in the living room with a trail of blood all the way down the stairs from the bedroom. We got him cleaned up and it became apparent that he had ripped two claws (one on each front foot) completely out. So, we went to the emergency vet. It has been about 6 days now and he is out of the cone and his feet are looking much better thanks to some treatment by the pros, a few days of confinement, and an antibiotic injection. He is still a little cautious but he is going to be OK.

Kitnipbox November 2019 Madison 1

I know it is hard to believe but Madison actually did not like wearing the cape.

Monkey did not actually eat this. He is kind of weird about food, though.

Kitnipbox November 2019 Sneaky 2

Sneaky really liked the treats but all of my pictures of her eating them were blurry because she would lunge and the camera would auto focus on my hand or something irrelevant in the background.

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $35.99 for the November KitNipBox, which is comfortably over the month-to-month cost of the box. The items were pretty well-liked this month by my older cats, which is good since Angus wasn't really able to play this time around. I suspect he will be very into several of them when his feet are a little better. Once again my kitties appreciated the variety of textures and item types, and Sneaky was a big fan of the treats.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Your first KitNipBox will ship right after your payment processes, so you should still be able to get November's box if you sign up now.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $29.99 including free shipping, which means that each of the 7 items in the box has an average cost of $4.28.

I happened across this article today, and was quite surprised when my KitNipBox also arrived today. And…..it’s this exact box! They must send different boxes to folks at different times. This is my third month.

They’re so adorable! That cape is hilarious. Sorry to hear about Angus- but glad he’s doing better & outa the cone. I think a good nanny-cam is in order to see what they’re doing when you’re not looking!

My husband sends me pictures in text messages (he works from home most of the time). They do a lot of sleeping.
