This card is so cute and perfect for fall. It looks like this month we received a "monthly mix-up" which includes 3 lip products and 1 non-lip product.

Each month, Lip Monthly sends their products in a little soft fabric makeup bag which is just a bit bigger than an iPhone plus (although not quite big enough to fit one inside). This bag design is fun and fitting for a lipstick subscription!

Cougar 24-Hour Liquid Lipstick in Cocoa - Retail Value $10.28 (£7.99)
I was fully prepared to hate this color when I saw it in the tube. I mean cocoa brown is not for my skin tone, but this stuff totally surprised me! When it first goes on you get that chocolate color, but then it sort of morphs into something else on your lips. You can also build it for a really dark color, too. My mother in law saw me in it when she stopped by and I totally forgot I had a heavy swipe on my lips until she complimented it. It was very dark like a raisin color, but she said it was really flattering. It goes on very smoothly and dries down to matte finish that feels more like a stain with no chalkiness. There was no noticeable transfer and a barely-there feel. I don't know that it lasts 24-hours, but I was still happy with the staying power.

This is what it looked like a few minutes later. It's like it absorbed into my lips and blended with them! Applying another coat gives it an even deeper color.

Cargo Cosmetics Gel Lip Color in Sicily - Retail Value $20.00
This next lipstick is so moisturizing! I love that I can put it on my lips even when they are dry and it looks just fine without highlighting any cracks. This will be great for winter! The color itself is also really pretty and a color I have been looking for. It's a berry red with just a hint of shine and I've found that I can get just a subtle pop of color if I use it sparingly or a really striking and vibrant color with a few swipes. This one was definitely my favorite product this month!

Bellapierre Shimmer Roll in Rose - Retail Value $19.28 (£14.99)
Our non-lip product this month is this shimmer roll from Bellapierre made from minerals. I linked to the Champagne color as I could not find the Rose listed on their site anywhere except in this multi-pack. While this is meant to be a highlighter, this shimmery pink-champagne color looked like the perfect eye shadow to me! It goes on smoothly thanks to the roller bottle and you can roll it on and leave it for a bolder look or blend it in for a more subtle glow. This small bottle can be thrown into your bag for a quick highlight at any time!
Here it is used as an eyeshadow. You can see it on my eyes in the above photos with the Cargo lip color, too!
Swatched from top to bottom we have the Cargo, the Cougar, and the Bellapierre. This is a thick application of the Bellapierre.
Here is the Bellapierre smoothed out a bit for a more subtle shimmer.

Jersey Shore Cosmetics Star Mint Glossy Balm - Retail Value $10.00
This is our last product this month and I will never turn down a minty lip balm, so I was glad to see it. This glossy balm is organic and natural, made with peppermint essential oil and vitamin E. While I find it moisturizing and enjoy the subtle mint scent, I can't see myself ever paying full retail value for what is essentially a tube of chapstick. This just means I enjoy receiving it in a box a bit more, though! Also, if it looks used, it's because I totally forgot to take a photo before testing it out. Oops!
Verdict: This month was a fantastic Lip Monthly curation for me! I love both of the lip colors, the highlighter was beautiful, and I'm always happy to receive another lip balm since mine constantly seem to disappear when I need them! Usually, I'm about 50/50 on the products, but these four were all pretty solid. The retail value is also pretty great at $59.56, although some of those values feel a bit inflated for what they are. Overall though, this was a great collection for a $12.95/ month subscription!
