POPSUGAR Must Have Winter 2019 Box FULL SPOILERS!

This box looks great! I’m not sure what everyone is complaining about. I figure even if I don’t like one or two items in a box, it’s still usually a win on value. Plus you get to try new things. People who are that picky maybe aren’t cut out for subscription boxes.

I know I’m in the minority here, but as someone who subscribes to almost all of these types of boxes, I was THRILLED with everything in it for once. This was the only time I kept and used everything for myself. I usually gift most pieces so this winter box was PERFECT for me! Thank you, PSMH! I can’t even imagine how difficult it is to curate boxes and please everyone and even with previous boxes where I gifted other items, I still see so much value in what you curate for us.

I know a lot of people are disappointed with this box but I just received mine the other day and I LOVE everything in it. The diffuser is amazing, I have an old house that isn’t well insulated and usually reed diffusers don’t work very well but this one does. The blush is also really great. I have pretty fair skin so I use the lighter side as blush and the darker pink tones as eyeshadow and it’s really pretty. The body oil isn’t greasy at all either, it absorbs super fast and it smells like something from a luxury spa. The travel makeup case is also super cute and feels like good quality. I got the rainbow hoop earrings and I really like them to my surprise. They are very dainty and you can’t really tell that it’s rainbow unless you look more closely. The dish is also pretty cute and feels like good quality, I think it actually looks better in person than in the photos. Overall I think it’s a great box and I’m not disappointed so if anyone is on the fence about getting it, I would recommend!

I had to cancel after getting my box. Was very displeased with the content. 68$ for the oil and i think it said 38$ for the travel make up case thing, really PSMH ?

The winter box was the 2nd box I bought, the fall box was the 1st, before that I’d never even knew about them. I liked the fall box, except for the lipstick, color is horrible on me. I liked everything in this box except for the necklace. I love the smell of the oil, it’s spicy, I read a lot of people hate it. If it were floral, I don’t think I’d like it, it’s hard to please everyone. I have a question for long time subscribers, what is it you’d like to see in the boxes? I’m curious as to what you’ve got in the past that was better. I think I went into this with the mindset that I wouldn’t like everything, but it’s fun to get things I would never think of buying. The dish in this box is something I would never buy, but I think it’s beautiful. Popsugar must read these comments, let them know what you’d like to have in the next box. For me, I’d like to see better jewelry. I think this time the jewelry was childish, and cheap. I also don’t want things that I could buy at tjmaxx for less than half the suggested price, the blush. I like reading the comments to see what people liked and didn’t like, popsugar must read them too.

I didn’t like anything except for the cards. I threw the entire box away except for the cards. No thanks.

The oil smells like rancid 💩. The dish is straight up tacky. The jewelry is hideous and cheap. The only thing I like is the cards. I hate to say it but I threw the entire box away except for the cards.

I’m not sure what the “hero” item was in this box. Also, I didn’t get the cards. Not a big deal really, but I think the value for this box was light. Usually I am excited about a few items in the box, but this was a miss for me.

I’ve been a subscriber since August 2015. This, by far, is the most disappointing box I’ve ever received. The quality and value is not what it used to be. I took a look back at the box I received last year at this time. It was shocking to see the disparity in the boxes! I suggest you take a look at your past boxes so you, too, can see where the quality of this sub box was compared to this box. I no longer will sub to two boxes. I bought 2 NM holiday boxes, also. If this winter box is any indicator as to the value and quality of the NM box to come, cancel my subscription now!

I thought I was going to hate everything in the box, turns out I loved everything, the items were much better in person. Yay. I hope everyone liked their box too. Enjoy!

R.I.P. Popsugar. Between this box and the Neiman Marcus box I have a feeling you are not even trying anymore probably because you are done with these boxes. It was a good try.

I just opened my box, after reading comments I was afraid to be disappointed, I’m not. I would not go out and buy these products, but for me part of the experience of the box is to try new things. This is only my second box so I don’t have repeat items. The jewelry is the only thing I really dont like, it’s cheap children’s jewelry. The cards are pretty, I would prefer there was no writing on them. The tray is beautiful. I’m happy overall with this box.

Now that I have this box in my hands I feel like it’s kind of light, maybe just because of the lack of sponsored items. I do think the travel case is pretty good quality and I’m excited to use it on my next trip. The rainbow 🌈 jewelry is not super in your face but I also feel like it’s not as high quality as I was expecting. I am planning to gift the reed diffuser and possibly the tray.

Another oil and tray…..ugh. How about a picture frame or something of the like. A scarf, a hat, gloves??? It’s a winter box! The boxes don’t have a theme anymore since it went quarterly. Really liked the fall box but we are back to just blah. This box is giving me the winter blues 🙁

My box came today and no I am not impressed. I feel duped.

I would say the item of the best quality is the body oil. It does sink nicely into the skin from what I could tell on my hand. What it will feel like all over my body is to still be decided. I’m not too fond of body oils. And it’s all downhill from here.

The necklace is of poor quality and I agree it is plated. Which is completely ridiculous. They also didn’t get my one customization correct. I ordered the gold rainbow and they sent the silver medallion. I have already emailed CS. I will give this necklace away as a xmas gift. My ring from the same company in the fall box is already tarnished. I did like that ring otherwise.

The case is cute but isn’t of amazing quality. I’m not sure how I will put it to use. Maybe I should swap it.

I will swap the cards. Not my style.

The blush has a lot of different colors in it. I might give it a try. My current blush is almost gone.

I like that the tray is food safe but I’m not crazy about the black and white inside.

I will put the diffuser on my desk at work. Hopefully the scent isn’t too strong. I’m not sure I like it.

I guess you can’t win them all. I wish my FFF would ship.

OK, I have just received my box. I am not happy anymore. I dislike the smell of the oil. The diffuser is half full and I dislike the smell, as well. The necklace looks and feels incredibly cheap, it’s not even real silver, it’s SILVER-PLATED. The trays all look different and I don’t like the design of mine. I don’t care for the blush nor the makeup case. That leaves the greeting cards and the snack bar. When you remove the cardboard insert designed to keep the items nestled snuggly together, half of the box is empty. It cost me over CAD$100.

I LOVE this box. The diffuser, body oil, and blush all feel very luxe to me. The travel case will be super handy and the tray is fantastic. The only thing I’m not too excited about is the jewelry, but I got the rainbow necklace because i have the perfect person to gift it to. 9/10!

As a Popsugar subscriber since 2014, I am incredibly confused underwhelmed for several reasons. To echo several comments, it feels like the Popsugar Monthly boxes of yesteryear. Secondly, it seems incredibly overpriced, given that it feels like a $40 Popsugar monthly box. And lastly, am I the only one scratching their head trying to figure out how this is a WINTER box? Like, other than the body oil, where’s the cold weather items: the cozy slipped/socks, scarves, warm throws, hot chocolate or winter baking items?!? It just feels like in could be a January monthly box. Nothing seasonal and special about it, as is often the case with the boxes since they moved to quarterly/seasonal.

fudge this subscription service….. cancelling . everything sucks

I ordered this box after seeing the full spoilers. I’ll use everything in it, and to me it looks much better than the Neiman Marcus box, which costs almost 4X as much. The quarterly boxes have been hit and miss for me, but the monthly ones were too. The monthly boxes had a lot more junk in them IMO. I like the Fall and Winter boxes best.

I am happy for people that are pleased with this box. I have faithfully been a PSMH subscriber since September of 2012. Unfortunately for me this month is one of my least favorite boxes ever. I’m pretty disappointed.

Since I got this box I’m hoping I will be blown away by the quality once it’s in my hands.

Soooo, the last two boxes sold out before all the spoilers came out and I was way upset I missed out. This time I snagged one immediately and am SO very disappointed in it. Every one of these items is overpriced and I don’t feel this box is worth anything close to $75. I would have rather bought the BOS to get that necklace. Not happy…..

Winter LE 2016 included a diffuser, I have four or five trays from PS, September 2015 contained a far too similar Hudson + Bleecker travel case…and blush, jewelry, and body oil galore over the years. As a recovering sub box addict, I can assure y’all the FOMO is not real. You will see all these items again. Probably next year.
