Oh Target, I fell in love with the discovery of your Advent box 3 yrs ago. Such variety it had. Last year and this year. What a let down. Where has the thrills you gave me gone?

Three dry shampoos? Seriously? Target couldn’t come up with anything else than 3 dry shampoos?

I actually love all the samples and would prob use them! I only read the first five so that I will be surprised! I can’t wait to purchase!

Advent is 24 days long. A $20 drugstore box full of mostly samples would have been a decent steal if it had been an actual 24 day Advent calendar.
The 12 days of Christmas, which I think these calendars are intentionally confusing (12 is cheaper than 24) doesn’t start until Christmas Day. But so many companies are doing this that it’s probably a lost battle. As long as they don’t screw up the kids chocolate calendars.

Oh, I see that Target isn’t calling this an Advent calendar on the package themselves. Good for them. The colors are more multi-faith/secular, too. That’s good.

They should rename it target hair care calander, cuz this is no way a “beauty” calender

Wow. Even this sucks. In the past 3 years, I have been able to put together a pretty awesome haul for my teenage daughter at Christmas using mainly items from beauty subs including the Target box. I usually buy some type of cosmetic or travel bag at Marshall’s and purchase a couple of other items like a set of nice brushes. I’ve used the same box to store items in and it’s only about a quarter full. It’s not just Target going down hill…

The cost of three Target beauty boxes, but the contents of only two. Not a cost-effective transaction, in my opinion.
If you want to buy a beauty collection as a gift for someone else, you can find more themed/curated collections than this for $20 – even at Target.
