Dose of Colors Hidden Treasures Palette - Retail Value $50.00
Ooooh, I have such feelings about this palette! Admittedly, the crazy layout makes me cringe. I get that the individual pans are meant to look like scattered treasure in a treasure box, but wow does this layout make my eye twitch. This is really a shame because the shadows themselves are absolutely stunning. There is a mix of 6 foils and 4 mattes, and all are smooth, highly pigmented, and gorgeous. I think this is a very clever assortment of shades because those 4 mates together make for a perfect daytime look while the metallic shimmers can amp up your night vibes. My top picks? This is hard! If I HAD to choose, it would be Map, Diamond, Pearl, and Ruby. But please don't make me choose.
Top to bottom: Pearl, Crown, Coin, Key, and Ruby

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer, 2 oz - Retail Value $39.00
I literally just bought a bottle of this, proving yet again that I don't have great timing. Ah well, my mom is obsessed with the stuff, so my inability to be patient is her gain! While I have drier skin, I like this lighter moisturizer for daytime wear. It has a natural watermelon scent that I enjoy sniffing obsessively throughout the winter as I wait for it to be warm again. It also has loads of hyaluronic acid and antioxidants that give my skin a pretty glow, and the gel formula is quick-absorbing and works well as a priming step before my normal makeup. I also own the slightly heavier but super similar AHA Glow Sleeping Mask, but I almost prefer this bottle because I can just pump out what I need and not dip my fingers into a pot.
Natasha Denona Lip Liner Pencil in 'L4 Natural Plum', 0.04 oz - Retail Value $18.00
I recently read a slightly older article about the Olsen twins and their consistently perfect lip color. Turns out, it is actually a liner that they use all over their lips, and I have kind of been obsessed with the idea ever since. (#funfact, I am a massive Olsen superfan and I feel great about it.) I haven't bought their perfect pencil yet (it is Makeup Forever in 3C, FYI) but I thought this would be close enough to try out. My initial fears about it being too brown were misplaced thankfully, and I really love this on my lips. I ended up doing super thick liner lines around my lips then blending towards the center, topping off with a basic balm. Very natural chic! If you lean more towards the drama side of lips, you could easily do a '90s-inspired darker liner with a glossy sheer center too. This formula is on the thicker side and buttery smooth. I found it to be pretty long-lasting too!
A very pretty nude. Am I chic yet?
Avant Supreme Hyaluronic Acid Anti-oxidising DUO Moisturiser, 50 ml - Retail Value $125.00
FYI: This product appears to normally be sold in a tub, while ours arrived in a tube. The size is the same.
This is one of those brands with products that I generally like quite a lot, but I find the over-the-top price tag always makes me skeptical. I know, I know, I didn't pay $125.00 for this item. I don't think I would spend that much on any cream unless it was gallon-sized... Don't get me wrong, the formulation is great and this stuff is loaded with ingredients that make my skin incredibly hydrated, but the retail value just seems crazy. I am going to try and overlook that and enjoy how freaking soft this heavier cream makes my face. I used this as the last step before bed and slept in a pretty heavy layer of it, waking up in the morning to velvet soft skin and hydration that stayed with me throughout most of my day.
Basic Beauty Glowy AF Wet Glow Trio, 8.6 g - Retail Value $30.00
I can always count on Boxy to continue to feed my highlighter obsession. It is bordering on obsessive and unhealthy. I only have a few other jelly formulas though, so I was giddy when these arrived. This trio has a golden champagne shimmer, a cooler champagne, and a girly pink. For my skin tone, I generally gravitate towards the cooler shade for a highlighter, but that golden shade was stunning on my lids. The creamy jelly texture makes them easy to blend and very buildable. The pink went on a lot lighter then I thought it would, giving the apples of my cheeks a very natural flush. I do hope that these won't dry out quickly, as the palette doesn't really have any sort of airtight feature to keep them in their wet form, but only time will tell.
Top to bottom: No Spraytan's, Fiji, Barbie Dream House
Bite Beauty Agave+ Nighttime Lip Therapy, 0.5 oz - Retail Value $22.00
Finally, our last item was one I had my fingers crossed for! My lips get really dry and sad throughout the cold winter months, especially in that last stretch after January! This formula is thick and decadent! Unlike so many of the more effective lip masks out there, this one is vegan and cruelty-free, and I find it to be an effective lanolin alternative. I keep masks like this on my bedside table so I remember to apply them before I settle in for bed. Will has even been known to borrow them himself! This one left my lips so soft in the morning and I can't wait to test it against the cold winds of January. It arrived with its own cute little spoon so you don't have to apply with your finger. Another bonus is the generous tub size and the chamomile-bergamot fragrance.
Verdict: My BoxyCharm box has an overall value of $284 which is an outstanding value for a $35 box. I very much enjoyed all of this month's items, (even that palette that I was secretly hoping I wouldn't get because of the layout). The shadows themselves are just too good! The Glow Recipe was another win, though for my mom this time, and the lip liner I really like! The trio of highlighters will be perfect for those holiday parties coming up and the Avant cream and lip treatment will be perfect for keeping my face looking its best after all of those parties. There wasn't a single item I was unhappy with this month. Premium continues to impress me!
