Did anyone else have to pay customs? Last month they shipped through La Poste which had no customs. But this month was through DHL..
Not very pleased that I have to pay customs now…

oooOOOOoooh. They’re so pretty. I keep telling myself I should cancel, but then I say I’ll wait for the next spoiler, and then it’s amazing, and I don’t. Aggravating though their weird shipping schedule can be, it’s always worth the wait.

My E&C cyber monday order (3 past pieces for $50+shipping) has not even *shipped* yet. It was on 12/2 — I’ve already received items I purchased from Birchbox’s sale this Monday, 12/9. I was hoping to have them so I could gift at least one piece for the holidays.
This was my first purchase from them. I was hesitant to order after all the negative comments about people’s past experiences. Looks like they were right. I will be gone from my place for two weeks — my neighbors all seem earnest, but still hoping it doesn’t ship and then sit in the lobby for a week.
I’m sure I will be happy to receive them when (if) I ever get them, but I am unlikely to buy anything again, as beautiful as some of their pieces are.

No, they don’t ship that quickly.

Their shipping schedule is 100% unpredictable. Sometimes, site orders arrive within the week and at other times, you’re lucky if it gets there in several. Not an expert, but I think it’s where the pieces are when they’re shipped. I’ve noticed the sub items have been coming from France as of late. That said, as long as you can come to a place of acceptance with the shipping issues, it is a more than worthy subscription.
