Enchanted Crystal of the Month Review: Amethyst with Super Seven Inclusions
First, you'll see a greeting from Adam of Enchanted Crystal. I love these personal notes as they explain behind the scenes details.
Our specimen this month is Amethyst!
Amethyst with Super Seven Inclusions
FYI: These are on the smaller side, with the largest piece being about 2.5 inches across.
I received some slightly similar amethyst pieces back in February, but these have some significant differences in terms of structure. These have a very distinct line between the purple and white areas of the crystal due to a whole host of variables that were just so when the crystals were forming. They are also fascinating to look at when you hold light behind them because they have all of these geometric lines and patterns that are hidden inside.
Enchanted Crystal always sends bonus crystals or minerals in a small bag as well.
Good to Know: These are generally between 1 - 1.5 inches long.
Madagascar Points
Little points are pretty consistent in the included bonus bag, but I rather enjoy them. I have quite the collection and they all live inside a small glass vessel where light can pour through them.
Bronzite
Bronzite is one of those minerals that is often used in paint, specifically in watercolors. I actually own a pan of the Daniel Smith variety (click here for a video!). Because there are little metallic flakes, the paint itself has a subtle shimmer, which is really cool.
Green Aventurine
Our last little stones are a charming blue-leaning green with brown inclusions. This is one of my favorite colors! Like many green-leaning stones, Aventurine is closely associated with wealth and prosperity.
Verdict: Enchanted Crystal was full of little treasures this month. The amethyst pieces were really stunning, and I loved the rich purple tips. I also enjoyed the bonus minerals this month, maybe even a little more than usual! I have a weak spot for smaller tumbled stones because they remind me of some of the first stones in my collection as a kid. This is still one of my fave subscriptions and if you are a rockhound or know and love one, give it a shot!
