A makeup bag came this month that has a strap allowing it to double as a chic holiday clutch. The front is covered in super sparkly glitter (that doesn't shed off!) and the back is metallic silver pleather.

MakeupDrop Original Silicone Beauty Applicator - Retail Value $20.00
I had heard of these little silicone tools and was interested because they seem like a great alternative to the sponge applicators that do work, but seem to soak up a lot of extra makeup in the process which is both costly and gross. This little applicator has a larger rounded end as well as a pointed tip, meaning you can get coverage all over your face and into the little corners that can be easy to miss. The one that arrived in my bag was clear and filled with trapped glitter, which felt super festive indeed. I didn't think I liked this tool at first, because I was swiping it around on my face which just seemed to smear my foundation around, but then I changed my tactics and used patting motions. This worked beautifully and set my foundation onto my skin in a natural soft finish. I am now a convert!

PÜR Skin Perfecting Powder in 'After Glow', 0.08 oz - Estimated Value $2.60 (Buy a full-size 0.8 oz for $26.00)
FYI: The booklet lists this item as PÜR Mineral Glow Skin Perfecting Powder, but this sample is actually a champagne highlighter rather than a bronze shade. This wasn't our substituted item, but rather a different product entirely.
You know I love highlighter. I am not sick of all the samples I get and I don't know that I ever will be! This finish is way more on the natural side than some of my others, but I can dig it. It gives a wash of super sheer pearly shimmer with no really large or noticeable particles.

Elizabeth Arden Vitamin C Ceramide Capsules Radiance Renewal Serum, 7 capsules - Estimated Value $9.80 (Buy 60 capsules for $84.00)
These cute little capsules hold a perfect one-time-use amount of ceramide serum each. The serum itself is super watery and doesn't have much scent. It absorbs easily into my skin and seemed wildly hydrating without being oily or filmy and gave my skin that sort of radiance that comes from being well hydrated. I don't know that I would use this during the day time but at night before my night cream? Totally. The capsules are also perfect for travel.

Girlactik 3-In-1 Lip Sparkle Balm, 2.8 g - Full Size! Retail Value $17.00
I didn't expect to think much of this little pencil. It looked pretty boring and was a shimmery sort of topper. I was totally wrong. This stuff is amazing! I am not someone who really loves glitter but this micro glitter on my bare lips is so, SO good. It is a clear base with electric flecks of purple, pink, blue, and green. You can wear it alone or over a lip color, but I vote for alone because it is such a unique finish and although it is blindingly shiny, you don't feel any grit at all. I will buy this when I run out for sure.
This is actually so sparkly and dimensional in person, but is nearly impossible to capture in a photo.

GrandeLips Hydrating Lip Plumper in 'Midnight Shimmer', 0.084 oz - Full Size! Retail Value $27.00
This was our substitution, though it wasn't super drastic. The original item was meant to be a shade called 'Sparkling Sangria' though I quite like this totally off-the-wall smoked shade. I have never worn a color so chic and moody. The sheer base is a deep plummy brown but it is filled with hot red sparkle. It looks awesome on its own but I prefer it over a berry lipstick.

Carolina Herrera Good Girl Légère Eau de Parfum, 0.05 fl oz - Estimated Value $2.17 (Buy a full-size 2.7 fl oz for $117.00)
This is such a pretty and feminine scent. It smells very polished and ladylike but also bold and memorable. It is also super unique as it is a white floral with strong coffee notes and more than a little sex appeal. I feel like some badass CEO would wear this while conquering the world (or at least the boardroom). The other notes that stood out were a little wood, a little patchouli, and orris, my favorite.

Paco Rabanne Men's Invictus Legend Eau de Parfum, 0.05 fl oz - Estimated Value $1.41 (Buy a full-size 3.4 fl oz for $96.00)
Oh, I like this. It smells like the ocean and sea salt, and lemons! After a few minutes, the citrus fades down and you notice wood and perhaps a little pepper? This is delightful and I will probably wear this one myself as I have been known to wear men's colognes as often as I have ladies perfume. Wear what excites you!
Verdict: This Macy’s Beauty Box was awesome. The holiday glam and sparkle theme was totally there and beautifully done. There wasn't a single dud in this assortment for me and I even somehow loved both perfumes. Who am I?! The value was great too, a $79.98 total for your $15 investment. And 3 full-size products? Yes, please.
