December 2019 Pet Treater Dog Pack Review
This shipment from Pet Treater included 4 items: a gourmet cookie, toy, bag of treats, bandana, and promotional literature.
Look how cute this month’s “Pick of the Litter” is! Cleo looks so beautiful in last month's bandana! Don't forget to email photos of your dog to enter to win a free item in your next month's box.
We also received some product literature for brands that were featured this month with coupons!
"Merry Grinchmas" Printed Bandana - Retail Value $8
The Grinch is a favorite in my house! You can usually find my son saying, "The, The, The Grinch!" It is perfect that this month's bandana features The Grinch, making it so fun to wear this holiday season. We all have been dressing in our festive gear so now Rufus can look snazzy as well! The quality is standard to a dog collar bandana (very similar to the one I received last month) and fits Rufus perfectly.
BT's Bake Shop All Natural Gourmet Cookie, 1.25 oz
This is curation at its best! I love that we received the Grinch bandana and this cookie that reminds me so much of the part in the book when his heart grows three sizes on Christmas day. Seriously, I can't, it is just so cute! I could hardly get Rufus to sit for a photo he wanted this cookie so badly. He gobbled it right down, which makes me happy knowing he is getting some deliciously fresh ingredients. This cookie is made with bacon, cheese, wheat flour, eggs, honey, water, and steel-cut oats - everything that I want my doggie to enjoy!
Corduroy Gingerbread Man Plush Dog Toy
How cute is this gingerbread man?! Rufus isn't that big into toys, but my kids truly loved giving this to him. They both tried to get Rufus to play with it for a good hour! The toy is extra soft with that fun squeaker in the middle. Even though Rufus didn't go straight for this toy, I set it on his dog bed in our room and caught him cuddling with it the other night!
Jolly 'Ole Nuggets Made for Pet Treater by The Pound Bakery
These treats smelled like a holiday peppermint cookie! Rufus ate some of these very quickly and they've been a favorite since I opened this month's box. These little treat bags are so handy because you can reseal them which means they stay fresh and I can use them again and again, mainly when I am trying to get Rufus to go out into the cold or rain. This treat is made with carb chips, honey, oats, barley flour, coconut oil, flaxseed, peppermint oil, and mixed tocopherols. Rufus was one happy guy!
Verdict: Another successful month from Pet Treater! With two kids, Christmas is a big deal in our house, but Rufus usually is the last one to receive a little extra treat love or a special outfit. Pet Treater literally saved the month by providing an excellently curated Holiday box. Rufus looks so cute in his Grinch bandana, he gobbled down his tree cookie in about two seconds, and the peppermint treats were a surprising hit. While the plush wasn't his favorite, I truly love seeing my kids enjoy seeing Rufus get something special in the mail and trying to make him play with his new toys! This box is a hit for everyone in the house, and I know that Rufus is getting quality items that we normally wouldn't get for him.
This month I received 4 items. I couldn’t find any of the exact items online, so just by dividing it out, each item would cost about $3.75. I feel like that might be a little much for the cookie and toy, but that price for the rest of the items seems in line for the quality. At $15 a month with free shipping, I know that I'm making Rufus happy with quality items which is really where I see the value!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you’ll receive a collection of pet-approved favorites as a welcome pack. After that, your pet will receive the same monthly shipment as other subscribers. Items vary from shipment to shipment, so you’re not guaranteed the same items as seen here. Standard orders generally ship around the 10th of each month. If you’ve added special requests to your order (allergies, no plush, tough toys, etc.), this may add additional processing and packing times due to the extra labor involved.
