I am(aranth) I am Nutz in Habanero & Himalayan Sea Salt, 3.5 oz – Buy a box of 10 for $24.99
These crunchy peanuts have a crispy/crunchy coating of amaranth seeds, which is something completely new to us! Apparently, they are a superseed that provides a ton of benefits including antioxidants, fiber, and they are rich in minerals. They added a nice texture to the outside of our peanuts, but where these really shined was that habanero flavor! These had a good kick to them and they started out a little tart with the heat and spice on the end. The crunch was nice and light and these were a favorite snack of both my husband and I. We would definitely eat these any time!

These are the same as our first bag of peanuts but in a lime flavor. These were tangy and a little sweeter tasting. They reminded us a bit of a more citrus version of salt and vinegar. While these were good, after having already tried the habanero first, these took second place! These are gluten-free, vegan, and non-GMO, just like the habanero flavor.

Marich Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Cashews, 2.3 oz – Buy a 4.75 oz. bag for $4.50
I love that they include chocolate in this box! These cashews were really good with just a hint of crunchy salt and rich semi-sweet dark chocolate. They had a good ratio of chocolate to cashew for me, but my husband said it was a little too much chocolate for him but he also claims to not like sweets (the shame!).

JoyBol Superberries & Acai Smoothie Bowl, 1 bowl - Retail Value $3.29
While this was a cool concept, this smoothie bowl was not for us. I like that it comes with a spoon and just requires cold water making this an ideal on-the-go snack or breakfast, but the texture was a bit too chewy and the acai flavor was a bit too much for us. We could also really taste the powder flavor in it which we didn't like. I filled it with water to the fill line, but it didn't feel like very much water to me, so I'm sure that's part of it! I do like that it has 11g of protein, though, so I would probably give a different flavor a try. This bowl is non-GMO.

Popchips Ridges Buffalo Ranch 0.7 oz– Buy 24 bags for $23.76
I am not a buffalo sauce fan (unless it's buffalo chicken dip!) so these went straight to my husband. He first felt like they had a sort of stale texture, but the more he ate he came around to them. He felt that the flavor was good, but the texture was just okay. He did say he would eat these again though! These are vegan, gluten-free, and non-GMO.

Kibo Chickpea Chips in Mediterranean Herbs, 1 oz – Buy 12 bags for $19.99
These chickpea chips had a really unique flavor, similar to garlic and herb. They were very savory and the texture was like a rice chip but with a crunchier, firmer texture. The flavor kept me going back for more! These are vegan, gluten-free, and non-GMO.

Ekoa Bars in Pure Coconut and Pure Pineapple – Buy a pack of 12 for $21.99 (currently on sale for $7.99!)
Last month we received the mango and banana flavors, but this month's flavors were much better! The coconut had a banana flavor at first but then the coconut took over. It was sweet and textured from the coconut pieces. We both thought it was yummy! The pineapple was chewier and a little more tart. It had a really strong pineapple flavor and while it was good, we both preferred the coconut one. These are vegan and gluten-free.

Bob's Red Mill Better Bar in Peanut Butter, Apple Spice & Oats, 1.76 oz – Buy a case of 12 for $18.29
I really liked my first bite of this bar, mostly it was peanut butter with a bit of apple in it, but the more I tried, the more overwhelming the spice flavor became. No one in the family was a fan of this one and my husband even remarked that it tasted like incense. The texture was good though so I would definitely try a different flavor! These are gluten-free and non-GMO.

Cooper Street Granola Cookie Bakes in Oatmeal Cranberry, 1 oz - Buy three 6 oz boxes for $16.38 (+$9.99 shipping)
This was so yummy! I could taste all of the flavors and thought the oatmeal, cranberry, and pumpkin seeds blended together so well. It tasted like fall in a bar! The texture was similar to a soft oatmeal cookie that could be great for a snack or breakfast. It wasn't too sweet and had a heartier texture with all of the seeds. These are non-GMO.

Theo Sea Salt 70% Dark Chocolate Bar, 1 oz – Retail Value $1.59
More chocolate! This 70% dark chocolate was rich and dry but still had just enough sweetness to it. There was also a tiny hint of crunch from the salt every so often. This bar immediately brought red wine to mind because it seemed like it would make a nice pairing! Everyone in the family enjoyed this one. Too bad it wasn't a tad bigger! These bars are USDA certified, vegan, gluten-free, and non-GMO.

Tahoe Trailbar in Peanut Butter Chocolate, 2.22 oz. – Buy a 12 pack for $28.14
This is exactly like a trail mix in a bar! It has a crunchier texture with a mix of salty and sweet. Mostly you get the peanut butter flavor and then there are the sweet pieces of cranberry and chocolate throughout. I liked this one a lot, but I didn't get to eat much of it because my son enjoyed it and ate it all up! These bars are gluten-free, vegan and non-GMO.
The Verdict: This month's SnackSack box had a great mix of snacks! There were chips, granola bars, nuts and even some chocolate for me! While there were a few things we didn't enjoy, overall, we got to try a lot of great snacks and found a few that we would definitely seek out like the amaranth peanuts, the oatmeal bar, and the chocolate-covered cashews. I like that this box provides us with a few snacks to have around the house that are healthy and also come in small packages so that we don't overdo it! For $22.95 and free shipping for this box, we received 11 different types of snacks and a handy bag to store them all in. This feels like a pretty good value for what we received this month.
