This mask is made with kaolin clay, charcoal powder, and acai oil to remove impurities from your skin. This wasn’t a super drying mask, which I think is important when it comes to clay-based masks (if you let clay masks dry out completely, that usually means the clay is sucking the moisture out of your skin). I wish that (natural) fragrance wasn’t so high up on the ingredients list, but on the whole, I think the ingredients list is decent.

Weleda Skin Food, 0.34 oz - Estimated Value $2.58 (Buy the 2.5 oz version for $18.99)
I like this moisturizer, but I don't view it as a holy grail product many others do (and I definitely don't think this would be an adequate "highlighter" or "primer" like the description on the website states). This has sunflower oil, sweet almond oil, lanolin, and beeswax which are soothing and nourishing ingredients, but this also has ingredients like alcohol, limonene, and fragrance which can also be skin irritants depending on your sensitivities. I had no issues using this, but I am a bit skeptical of the cult following this has in some circles.
I was hesitant when I saw this was a coconut mask because I try to keep coconut oil away from my skin. Luckily this is made with coconut extract along with caffeine, turmeric, green tea, and chamomile to fight redness and puffiness while smelling deliciously like coconut and vanilla. A really cute touch is that instead of regular round eye holes, the ones on this mask are in the shape of hearts.
I have actually spent most of the past year dieting, and the biggest focus for me has been getting enough protein- meaning I am very familiar with protein powders of all sorts. While my protein of choice for substantial use is whey protein isolate, I have tried the Vital Proteins collagen powder before. When I am getting enough protein, especially earlier in the day, I snack less later in the afternoon. This powder is soluable in both hot or cold liquids, and since I never got in the smoothie habit, my preferred way to use this is mixed with a bit of milk before adding it to Greek yogurt. Even though this is "unflavored" it still has a bit of flavor, but that is easily masked when added to Greek yogurt (as opposed to drinking it plain with water). Two scoops of this is considered a serving for 20 grams of collagen peptide protein, but I usually stick with just one scoop since I mix it with a single serve container of yogurt. Collagen has the added benefit of being great for hair, skin, and nails, so this is a product I will happily use up (and I love that the retail value of this super useful item is the same as the cost of the entire box).
This scrub has a really popular following, but honestly, I found it to be a bit of a nightmare. It is made with walnut shell powder that gritty, and the grains are the perfect tiny size to get stuck in your pores. That combined with the fact that I had a difficult time washing all of it off my face makes me hesitant to even want to pass it along to a friend. It is rare that I have such a strong aversion to a product I try (especially a product so many others love), but this really did not work for me.
This toner is made with witch hazel, aloe vera, and rose water to help refresh your skin without stripping it of its natural oils. This is alcohol-free, and I found it to be gentle while still gently hydrating my skin and leaving it balanced.
I love a good essential oil roll-on, especially since I am not in the habit of using them when I actually feel stressed. I am hoping if I store products like these around my apartment, vehicle, and purses the way a squirel hoards its nuts, future Jessica will have success at using this when it is needed most. This has a blend of peppermint and orange that I find zesty and delightful- while somehow still being calming (what is this sorcery?).
Okay, this jade roller is the absolute cutest. It is made of genuine Xiuyan jade, and the small size made it super easy to roll the contours of my face. I actually used this on my face and neck when I had a cold and had sore, swollen, lymph nodes, and I was amazed at how much better this made me feel. I am always down for a jade rolling session just because I find it soothing and relaxing, but now I will be reaching for it when I am sick, too.
Verdict: Target knows how to curate a good holiday kit, but I thought this one was especially lovely. I think this kit is a true self-care and wellness box thanks to the combination of skincare, supplements, and beauty tools, and other than the Acure scrub I genuinely like all of the products. Value-wise, Target promised a value over $50, and by my math the actual value of this kit comes up a dollar short at $49.04
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you order today? Yes, as of publication, this box is still available for purchase.
I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

I have never been a big Skin Food fan, but it did help protect my skin when it was healing from an overzealous scrubbing session with the Acure scrub. I’ve been putting the collagen into a matcha latte and whisking everything up with a cheap milk frother from Amazon and it’s been decadent and slightly healthy. I’m hoping I can put the toner in a small spray bottle to make it a refreshing mist. The only dud in the box for me is the roll on because of my allergies. This box really was a great value! Off to jade roll my swollen lymph nodes- thanks for the tip!

Chill Pill has a good amount of patchouli in it. Patchouli tends to be one of those polarizing scents–some love, some hate. It is a hippy, earthy, scent. As for quality, you can’t get much better than Aura Cacia.
I was wondering if the toner smells like roses, since that’s listed on the front of the bottle.

I went to Target on cyber Monday. They had some of the beauty kits, and one last advent calendar on the shelf. but the prices were regular, full price. I could have skipped the trip!

Great review as always Jessica. I take collagen powder regularly, so it was a good purchase for me. I feel the same way about Acure scrub… I use it only in shower when I wash my hair so all the scrub is rinsed off and I don’t use physical scrub no more than once a week.

You know what works great to get that Acure (and any other maks like it) off–the Makeup Eraser (or even the knock-offs of that product)!
Every trace gone (and I have huge open pores that everything sticks in.

Using Makeup Eraser is a great idea! I already use it for removing charcoal/mud masks as mine is black and won’t leave any stain (if any). Added one more use for it 🙂

I was just going to comment the same thing! Lol. I use the makeup erase primarily for wiping any sort of exfoliant particles off like with the Acure scrub or any sort of dermabrasion. It gets everything off quickly and easily, especially if I moisten one end first.
And I love the Acure scrub – have only used it a few times but it definitely is brightening and leaves my face smoother. I’m going to try leaving it on a few minutes before wiping next time like a quick mask.
Now I’m regretting not grabbing this Target one when they had the day with the buy one get one 50% off beauty kit deal. (I think the reason I didn’t was because their deal wasn’t working right. It was more like 40% off a second kit.) I still should have got it, though, especially since there was a Dermstore kit I really wanted, too. Oh well. I do want one of those jade rollers eventually, though.

Oh, it feels great as a mask, I use it on face and upper arms and chest, let it sit while I work on other areas in the shower, and then get it off. So def try that too.
And you are right, any scrubby or micro scrub particles clean right off with the ME. I have a jumbo size one I use for my body. I wash it in the washer and periodically toss it in boiling water to further sanitize it. Such a good return on investment!

I bought this during black friday deals.
Im a big fan of everything in the box.
I feel the reviewer was quite critical; this was perfect for a bit of self care during a busy and stressful time. Plus the price is fantastic

One product received a thoroughly negative review. A couple were rated as so-so or positive with some disclaimers. There were at least 2 products that she raved about.
Besides, reviewers are supposed to give us their honest opinions. When you review as many skin care products as these reviewers, do, I’m sure that they have a fuller picture of what is available and how these products stack up against others.

This is not available and it hasn’t been for a while. I tried to buy it last week and it was gone. Maybe in some lucky stores but not near me.
