Fabletics is a monthly fitness apparel subscription co-founded by Kate Hudson. You can shop Fabletics in two ways—you can shop the regular store, or you can sign up for their VIP membership. VIP memberships work like this:
- Take the Fabletics quiz, which will let the company know your size, style, and fitness needs.
- Each month, Fabletics will curate looks that match your preferences. According to the website, outfits start at $24.00 for new VIP members. (It's unclear if "new members" refers to just your first order, though.)
- Shop those looks at 40-50% off what you'd get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If you do neither, the $49.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
- As you shop, you'll also earn points that can be applied to accessories and other cool fitness essentials.
Put simply, this subscription won't automatically send you monthly packages like other services do. (But they will automatically charge you if you take no action.) You have to hop into your account and either decide to add items to your card or skip it. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time, though you do have to call into Fabletics customer service to do it.

Fabletics VIP Membership Palms Performance Sneaker Review - January 2020
I love sneakers, so I knew I had to cop a pair of Fabletics' shoes to see how they fit and feel. I like that they offer all parts of workout gear, down to your feet.

Palms Performance Sneaker, size 6.5 - Retail Value $84.85/VIP Membership Price $54.95
These sneakers also come in white but I was taken with the teal green, pink, mauve, and purple colorway of this pair. Almost all of my sneakers are grey, so this is quite a departure for me. I thought they looked super fun though and if I'm going to wear these with some of my plain black or grey leggings and hoodies, they will make the outfit. The first thing I noticed about these shoes is how incredibly lightweight they are! They also happen to be very comfortable and cushioned as well as breathable. I have other shoes that seem to suffocate my feet, but I didn't get that with these.

Here they are on my feet! Nikes are my favorite sneaker brand and I am a perfect 6.5 in those, so that's what I ordered from Fabletics. They ended up being just a little too big for me, so I took advantage of their easy exchange policy. I'll go over the details on making an exchange, below:
In the "My Orders" section of my account, I could simply click a button next to my order number to begin my exchange. Clicking that "Change Size/Color" bubble triggers the pop-up window below.
Once I chose the size I needed, it automatically triggered a new order for my size 6s and emailed a return label for the 6.5s. Easy peasy!
The email goes over the steps and reminds me that I have 10 days to send out my return. Once they receive it, they'll send my new size out. You can also make returns at a Fabletics store if there is one in your area.
In the midst of me taking screenshots of the process, I accidentally chose "Reship same size" at first and needed to contact their customer care to remedy my faux pas. I was able to chat them online and they were incredibly helpful. The care representative got the accidental exchange order canceled and processed a new one for my new size, even asking if I got the new return label in my email before ending the chat. Yay!
The Verdict: I am pumped on my new Fabletics sneakers, and impressed with the ease of making an exchange as well as the customer care I received when I flubbed it. I'll be sure to update this post when I get my new size in the mail to let you know if they fit! But even just trying on the 6.5s had me feeling like I was walking on clouds.
