JustFab is a monthly clothing, shoes and accessories subscription that allows you to shop in two ways - you can shop the regular store, or you can sign up for their VIP membership. VIP memberships work like this:

  • Take the Style quiz to note your size and style preferences.
  • Each month, JustFab releases a new collection and they will curate looks that match your preferences which you can view in your personalized Boutique.
  • Shop those looks at 40% off what you’d get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If you do neither, the $39.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
  • As you shop, you’ll also earn points that can be applied towards future purchases.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

JustFab January 2020 Review

Inside my package was a coupon for HelloFresh. Marne tackled everything you need to know about this popular meal kit in her all-encompassing HelloFresh review.

I also received an invoice with some information about returns and exchanges on the back which is a pretty simple process!

Cross Back V-Neck Top in Black, Size M - Retail Value $32.95, VIP Price $16.95

This top is really basic, but it has a fun strappy detail at the back. I loved that it was a simple black T-shirt, but with a bit of style to it - business in the front, party in the back, but at a really minimal level. It is nice and long, lightweight, and comfortable. The sides have tiny slits in them and the back is actually just a tad longer than the front, but it's not incredibly noticeable. I got this on sale so I only paid $15 for this top, and I think that's pretty fair, although I definitely wouldn't pay full retail for this one.

The material is a bit thin as you can see here, but it didn't require a cami or anything underneath. It's a blend of cotton/polyester/modal and it didn't seem to shrink any after washing.

Longline Cardigan - Retail Value $64.95, VIP Price $44.95 (currently marked down to $34.95)

So this sweater was a bit of a splurge for me, but I loved the colors and it looked so cozy and it had pockets, so I used some of my reward points (you get them for every purchase you make, any reviews you write - they really can rack up fast and be redeemed for percentages or money off!) and got this for $31.46 (of course, it would drop down to $34.95 after I ordered it - womp, womp).  I went for a size large since I was looking for something warm and cozy that I could throw on over anything and this did not disappoint. I love how the colors will work with almost anything, it is long and has a nice collar going all around the front which makes me want to wrap it around myself even more.

It is made from acrylic and polyester, but it isn't itchy that I've found, and after washing and drying, it held its shape nicely and didn't shrink. I plan on living out the rest of the winter months wrapped in this baby!

The Verdict: I really liked my picks from JustFab this month. The shirt and sweater were both pretty much what I expected and the sizing was good! I love the cardigan and it's something I have been looking for now for a while, so I'm happy to cross that off my list. Overall, I think the value was pretty good paying a total of $51.09 for both pieces which usually retail for a total of $97.90 ($61.90 with VIP prices)!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! The top and sweater are both available!

ACTIVE DEAL: Get your first pair of shoes for $10! No coupon needed - just use this link.

Value Breakdown: The total retail value for both pieces is $97.90, and the VIP price is $61.90. That's a discount of about 34%. With their sale, I only paid $51.09 which is a 65% savings off retail and 47% off the VIP price.

I am a homeschooling mom to 4 kids; 1 girl and 3 boys. While I have been reviewing boxes since 2018 and I love the luxury of trying new products, I'm also balancing it out by dabbling in a little bit of homesteading, too. We now have 4 chickens and a rabbit and my sourdough starter is going strong! I love learning about new brands and sharing the great things I find with others in hopes that they find something new to love or to fit their needs!

Just to clarify – the first look for $10 is a reduced styling fee? So for $10 you have the opportunity to buy from what they send you?

Cute clothes and shoes, but I’m nervous about sizing and quality so I wouldn’t want to be out even $10 if the items didn’t work out

Hi Amy! Amber explained the process pretty well! I’ve only been purchasing clothing for a little while now and I agree sizing is a bit of a mess, but exchanges are free and fairly easy! I definitely recommend checking out reviews of any items because sometimes they can be insightful as to the sizing. It is definitely a commitment having to remember to skip each month, but I usually just set a reminder on my phone each month! So far I’ve fared best with accessories, shoes and jackets! Hope that helps! 🙂

You can choose an item that costs up to $39.95 for $10. I had JF for a while, and the quality was not very good, even for “discounted” prices. Scratchy acrylic, and sizing was all over the place. Plus, this is one of those subs where you have to make sure you skip every month or you get charged $39.95 as a “credit” and have to use that credit only towards a full-price item. You don’t get sale prices with your credits.
