The fact is is that there wasn’t a single spoiler I was excited about. As so many have said – this was a particularly bad month for repeats.

Tatoo liner is good. I have several.
Glamglow Supermud is good. I’ve gotten away from using it though (because Drunk Elephant.)
Might actually get around to trying the Lancome mascara primer this time, though.
That SB primer is EVERYWHEREand it doesn’t work for me so… Bleh.

Every single item that I received was a repeat of what I was sent in the last couple of months. How many black eyeliners does a girl need? Off to cancel my subscription.

I’m pretty sure I have in my profile that I want skincare (specifically moisturizer and eye cream), not makeup! I have literally no use for setting spray or foundation. Grrrr!

#147, I got the KVD liner, (which I use, but have like 3 of), Waso cream, (don’t use this type of product), GlamGlow mask, (have oily skin and like this mask, but have received it before and not overly thrilled. Not thrilled with any kind of mask, tbh) Gimme Brow (don’t use) and V&R Sage Spell (love perfume samples) This was a so/so box for me, nothing particularly wowing, but nothing too terrible. Although Play is one of my favorite subs, even I’ve got to admit this month was kinda sketchy. I don’t really mind repeats of good items that I use, but I think every one of these items is a repeat of a (fairly recent) month. I get that y’all have lots of extras, but y’all can do better. The whole point is new products, that customers could potentially love, that translates to sales. Not sure what’s going on, but if Play really is coming to an end this year like someone said, I’d like to get in on another sub before everyone is looking and there’s a mile long wait list

After repeats of products and no play pass I have cancelled read this: my boxes keep going downhill ugh.

Called last month because I received 2 of the same products I got the previous month and then they said I couldn’t return so this month again received KVD eyeliner which I can’t use and got it a couple months ago, another primer again rec’d a few months ago and I dislike it, another gimme brow, I have 4 already, the Waso ream and the Glamgo mask. Bonus Viktor&Rolf perfume. I immediately cancelled, same old products nothing new or exciting and tired of duplicates. I’m going to move on to another subscription.

my OPINION, this is one of the worst play boxes since that one with the 4 foundations in it. why is smashbox so insistent in pumping those primer samples out into the world?? getting it repeatedly isn’t going to make my skin hate it any less. Also glamglow is the worst brand. Got a dollar store tier face mask you need to move? put some glitter in it and call it glam.

Hope yall get better boxes, if not now, then for the rest of the year!

I also asked about the Rewards bazaar gift like we got last year where you can get 500 points are free shipping over $25 and we are going to get that again this year. They just haven’t put those out yet

So I just called customer service and this is what I was told would be in box #147 and it’s not anything listed above. The items are as follows:

No perfume sample which is very disappointing to me, that’s one of the reasons why I get this box. It’s so hard to try to get a sample at the store and I love perfume. Not sure how reliable this is but this is what I told was in box #147 for January

I agree, tons of repeats. I happen to like most of these so I’m sticking it out for another month at least. I’ve been wanting to try Fab Fit Fun, so it looks like I may cancel and check out something new. Fingers crossed that next month has more new things!

I have cancelled my subscription twice, and both times I signed right back up! Lol. This is seriously the one box I can’t live without, even with all the repeats, I still love the products and brands more than any other box I’ve tried, hands down!

I’ve got box 415, if anyone has any spoilers, lmk! I love my Sephora box, and even though a lot of these are repeats, they’re samples I’d either love to have or ones I’ve run out of. I’m fixing to cancel my Birchbox, because I wasn’t able to get the curated box I want, so I just picked a sample and let them pick the rest, and I’m not going to use a single product. They’ve been doing poorly each month, the only reason I’ve been sticking around is the curated boxes. I’m looking at another box around the same price point, I was interested in Allure and another I can’t think of off the top of my head, but they’re not customizable 😕
