Quirky Crate January 2020 Review
Quirky Crate samples one item from a featured artist or brand each month. This month’s special find comes from Lisa Frank, yes please! This info card gives you a little background info on her life and work as well as some social media info.
On the flipside, Quirky Crate includes an itemized list of each product and its value. This month's theme is "Season of Love."
Time to get quirky!
Dancing Heart Socks - Listed Value $9
Be still my dancing heart! How cute are those little cartoon hearts? I am convinced that Quirky Crate delivers the very best socks, in comfort and design. This month's love theme has my very own heart dancing, especially since it is my birth month. These medium-thick socks are the same quality I've come to love from QC. This pair fits my size 8 feet perfectly, so they are cute and comfortable to boot!
Pink Girl Kawaii Organizer - Listed Value $26
At first, I thought this was a planner, but it turns out it is just an organizer with many, many accessories. I am a girl who loves flair, so digging through this little goodie bag was a really fun experience for me. It came with loads of stickers, patches, some paper clips with pom-poms and a few other (random) accessories. Since I already have a fun planner that I write in, I will be gifting this item, but I will be keeping half of the flair it came with!
Fuzzy Heart Bag - Listed Value $16
Aside from some initial, minor shedding, this purse is so dang cute; you wouldn't believe how fluffy this red fur is! The zipper pocket is lined with white faux leather, and it only fit my phone and small wallet; it would make an adorable travel purse or makeup bag for someone who likes to pack light. The gold chain is detachable, too!
Galentines Day Patch Card - Listed Value $7
I really like the idea of this card, but I wish it was designed made a little differently. I love the friendship accessories (patches, necklaces, etc) that have one word on them, but splitting the words in half upsets my nit-picky personality. Very cute idea, not my favorite design. The inside of the card is blank so you can write whatever you'd like to your best babe.
"Extra" Enamel Pin - Retail Value $10
This is the perfect gift to give to that special someone in your life that is a little extra. I will never be able to see Extra gum without associating it with the state of being extra, and this will definitely give my quirky heart a chuckle. This measures 1.75" with two posts and two heart-shaped rubber backings.
Lisa Frank Sticker Pack - Retail Value $4.95
Six year old me is screaming with delight right now. I grew up loving Lisa Frank; I wanted all of her accessories, and actually getting a folder or sticker of hers was such a special treat. This sticker book is sprinkled with 600 stickers, and each of the five pages is jam-packed with puppies, seals, kitties--you name it! My favorites have to be the seals and polar bears. Which are your favorites?
Quirky Crate Throwback Heart Sunnies - Listed Value $16 (similar pair found here)
These sunnies are large and in charge! I linked a pink pair above from the QC website, but I couldn't find this groovy yellow pair on there (yet?). The plastic frames seem durable, and fit the bridge of my nose just right; although, I feel a little silly wearing such a large pair of yellow lenses. I do, however, think these are really cute resting on top of my head holding my hair behind my ears, so I will definitely be getting some unconventional wear out of them.
The Verdict: Quirky Crate's January box was full of cutesy, girly finds. I was especially thrilled about January's cutesy heart theme, and also, seeing Lisa Frank's work really amped up some '90s nostalgia for me. The total value of this box adds up to $89, close to double the $36.95 + $6.50 shipping subscription cost. I always feel Quirky Crate is worth its price because the fun items always bring a smile to my face, and people tend to notice and compliment me on the unique flair I've acquired from them.
