I received the Mamonde serum, Rodial mascara, Lapcos mask, lemon butter, UD eye pencil, lip gloss Floss in lax. I love everything except the UD eye pencil, received too many black eye pencils with subscription boxes. There are not repeats for me (subscriber for 3 years) except the lip gloss but the one I received before was clear and the one that just came is a very nice pinkish color. Love, love this box!

It is a boring box but I’m personally looking forward to getting another Floss (and I’m glad it’s a different color). My daughter decided to “experiment” with the last one I got so needless to say, i only got it for 2 days.

Just an FYI: When you go to Allure’s website to “Become a member” they are NOT showing the Mamonde Serum, Dr. Botanicals Lemon Superfood, or Rituals shower gel. Why does it feel like they released those as a Bait and switch to get new customers…and now realizing they don’t have enough product or it is only sent to influencers…UGH..I wanted to love Allure again..but nope not falling for it! I would be interested in seeing what Amazon subscribers get though…see ya around Allure..when you get your A game back..Call me.

How is that a bait & switch? Here they are listing all the products that are available and you will get six of them. The Allure website shows the new member box and new members will indeed get six of the products listed above. They may be repeats to long time members but not to new members. This allows more long time members to get fewer repeats.
I have been a member for over a year and received the Mamonde Serum, the Dr. Botanicals and the Rituals Shower Foam. The only repeat for me was the Floss which was in a different color. And I am NOT an influencer.

Finally cancelled my IPSY boxes and all 3 of the BoxyCharms, so decided to also cancel this and get through all of the products collecting dust. I feel such a sense of relief.
The reason for me posting is that the customer service rep was incredibly nice and helpful, without pushing me to continue. BoxyCharms has the absolute worst customer service that I have experienced. Feels good to save the money and not have more clutter coming in every month.

I agree with the previous post. That lip balm was a joke. However, I’m overall happy with Allure. I loved the Mamonde oil to foam cleanser! I tried the toner as well. I would 💘 to get them again!!!! Rose oil is my jam. 🌹🌹🌹Happy Valentine’s Day to all!

I am now using both the petal oil foam cleanser and the toner. I get them from Amazon very inexpensive and love it! I really would like to get the recovery one though!

Rose oil is great for the skin and the body. You can eat rose petals I fact and the Victorians made rose petal sugar for sweet tea breads. That’s why it is a beauty staple. I love it too. The Momonde products are welcomed by me. The scent is quite light and fades quickly.

The comments trashing rose oil and essential oils are inaccurate. Rose is wonderful for the skin. Essential oils can be too, depending on which oils as they all have different properties. What IS true is that essential oils need to be very diluted to be safely used and they should never be taken internally (ingested). This is also different than pressed oils or hydrosols, which don’t need to be diluted. Skincare formulators know this and use very small amounts of essential oils. Some people with very sensitive skin cannot tolerate anything that has a fragrance. This does not mean that it’s true for everyone or that essential oils are to be completely avoided. I’ve been researching skincare, how to formulate skincare, and herbal medicine (including it’s use in skincare) for a couple decades now, and continue to educate myself on new information. Don’t let the alarmists scare you. Rose is very beneficial to the skin.
Toni Marie
I cant wait to try this box… I just might buy 2 of them.
Lynn
I agree, Ann. Rose oil seems to have many benefits for use on skin. I just did several quick searches on line and could only find benefits. Just because something is naturally fragrant does not mean it harms your skin.
JuJu
No, it really isn’t, where are you getting this from?
And the fact that it’s been used for a long time doesn’t mean anything: most people are still completely ignorant about skincare NOW – what can you possibly expect from people centuries ago?
Debbie
Theee bad boxes in a row. I’m out. Just can’t justify the cost when for 10 more I get boxy. I have a year sub so my last month will be March and it can’t come too soon. These boxes are so bad. I loathed the alar lip balm last month. Bite is soooo much better and the rest of this is retread. I know o have received a crap ton of rose monmade from them which is the variation. Who wants strong rose on their face?

I’ve enjoyed the past few boxes after disliking that stretch with a lot of collabs. The recent ones have felt more like “real” Allure boxes to me with some good skincare. We all like different things.

My mother is on oxygen, and can’t use anything petroleum based on her lips or to moisturize her nose. (Which gets very dry because of the oxygen, and she gets bloody noses.) The AKAR lip balm has been a lifesaver for her. NO PETROLEUM. Everyone has favorites for a different reason. I personally don’t like BOXY–too much makeup and not enough skincare. To each their own. I’m just happy there are so many choices of sub boxes out there.

I’m sorry to hear that. It can be very difficult to deal with, especially in the winter months.
Everyone is different. I couldn’t stand the akar, but that’s just me. It’s the citrus in it. I pretty much stick to straight lanolin. I’ve had patients on oxygen use it as well. If you or your mom are interested in trying the lanolin, ask the doctor 1st because it usually lasts all night long. The least expensive way to buy it is in the baby section, in the breastfeeding supply section, nipple balm. Just read the ingredients. It should be 100% purified lanolin.
Tara W
It just goes to show that “your mileage may vary”. I love that Akar lip balm. I use it daily. I can’t recall a time that my lips have felt more soft and more healthy in my life. I wonder if some people gave up on it too soon. Anyway, Allure has been a great source for new to me items that I actually enjoy and use.

I’m surprised to see all the negative comments about that lip balm, too. It was probably my favorite thing in the box!
Sarah
I think everyone is just different. I’m in my mid 40’s. I grew up with chapstick, carmex or Vaseline. We did have other lip balms, flavored, but basically wax. I have no idea how many different types and brands I have tried over the years… For years and years my nightly lip treatment was Vaseline. Then I got pregnant and my skin got SO DRY! Doctor suggested several things including lanolin. Yes, I know what it is. I kept a tube of lanolin nipple cream in my nightstand for a couple of years, then Vaseline, got pregnant with my second, back to lanolin… Ran out eventually and went back to Vaseline but started buying the one with cocoa butter in it too. Then Ipsy introduced me to the Hanalie lip treatment. SOLD!!! Someone sent me some Dr. Lippy, it’s just lanolin. I have some Vaseline in the bathroom, but I pretty much stick to lanolin or Hanalie. I’m a lip chewer. 🙄 I rarely have skin on my lips that needs exfoliating. I really did think I would absolutely love the akar. But, I didn’t. It caused problems on my perfectly healthy lips. Cracking and peeling. It took a couple of weeks to get my lips back. The culprit ingredient is the citrus in it. If you have chapped lips damaged skin, I can see how the akar would help some. But, unfortunately, for me, it caused problems. I’m not blaming akar. I should have read the ingredients 1st. I’m regretting an add on from Ipsy that I have not tried yet and I’m not sure I even will. It’s the Polaar lip treatment and one of the ingredients is citronel. Citrus. Dang it! I’m obviously sensitive to citrus…

So a few months back they had a box with many variations I had 3 subscriptions at the time & ordered 3 more all my boxes cane the same except one I was extremely disappointed plus I only use two addresses so you would think they would catch on & mix it up nope

I agree, but it’s a bit more like that clearance section where it’s odds and ends and even open stuff. I’m definitely skipping this month. I’d rather spend the $16 on a bottle of wine.

oh boy… this box could either be amazing or awful, becasue of the variations. I don’t use clear lipgloss, but the other option looks very nice, but at the same time – can’t guarantee which one you’d get. butter – yes please, cleansing powder, no thank you. shower foam – sure, pencil, oh god no. serum – love, cleanser or toner – no thanks.
I think… I’m going to pause it for another month :/ too many variables that can go disappointingly wrong :/ and honestly – those variations are so all over the place… why?

I literally want every variation exactly as you stated it!! It’s just too many variations, and I’m not that lucky. I have a very slim hope that Amazon will have our curation. Then I could verify before ordering. …Okay, reallllly slim chance lol.

STOP TRYING TO MAKE SHOWER FOAM HAPPEN.
…okay, I might be in a minority absolutely hating it, but shower foam or black eyeliner makes it sound like subscription boxes have become self-aware and are making fun of themselves now XD

I’m not big into foam either but I absolutely love Rituals. It’s my favorite brand. Although I will say they always sent out Sakura (cherry blossom scent) or Ayurveda (indian rose/sweet almond) which are my least favorite scents from them. I wish they would send out Happy Buddha or Karma which are the best smelling scents ever! Again, Rituals is my number 1 brand.

I’m with you. I would love one of the lesser know scents. I think the box is just fine with 3 full size products. I don’t understand chronic malcontent-ism! Lol

I hope for the Rituals, lemon cream and Mamonde serum. I just got the Floss lip gloss in Glossybox. I don’t even use those.

I’ve already received 3 of these items through Allure in the past year. I’ll be pissed if I get them again, especially since.I wasnt impressed by any of them. I do not subscribe to these boxes to stock up on samples sized items. I get them to try out new products. I have no idea if they take into consideration the products they have already sent you like Ipsy and Boxy do so you shouldn’t recieve the same product twice.
Reply
Ann
I disagree. I quit Ipsy years ago for sending so many of the same products over and over and over and very few high quality brands. I’ve had some repeats with Allure over the 7-8 years I’ve subbed off and on but relatively few. They have been into momonde a lot this past year but at least I’ve gotten different products from the line. If I ever see another smash box primer in any sub again (Ipsy fav) I will lose my mind! Lol
Nicole
Same here! I didn’t want the Lue, clear Floss lip gloss, UD pencil in zero, or the rose water toner the first time I received them. I definitely don’t want them again less than a year later. I think I’m going to skip March, that’s too many repeats.
Pink5
That’s what I thought. People were upset because their container wasn’t full.
I still haven’t tried mine.

I was really excited for this box until I saw all the variations. I think I’m going to hold off until I see what other Amazon subscribers get. If we get the Dr. Botanicals and the Floss gloss in an actual color, then I’ll for sure pick it up. I will say, this is a nice variety of products.

Do all Amazon subs get the same box?
Reply
Claire
Hi Jenn, yes they do contain the same items. I cancel every month on Amazon and resubscribe if I like the contents. I don’t like subscribing through Allure as it would be so difficult to stop and start a sub.
Jennifer
I actually love the Floss lip gloss that we received in a previous box! I won’t mind having a back up or a different color!

One would think that they would take a lesson from other subscriptions…variation is way too much! Now I will agree, there are some great products here, but how many will actually get them..Oh vey! I saw that word OR and cringed! Nope, not doing it!

this is a so so box. if I knew for sure I would get the shower foam instead of the eyeliner, I would go for it. but my luck always gives me eyeliners or lipliners – neither of which I use

I’m still waiting on mine from Amazon too. Tracking says it should arrive between Feb 19 – Feb 24.

I loved the box until I saw all the “or”. Not taking my chance on the or’s because I’ll most definitely receive them. Too bad too because I loved this box.

Because there is a chance some of us could recieve products, including a full size, of products Allure has already sent in the past year. If it was some type of amazing product, I might be cool with it but I just got that lip gloss in July and I’ve used it twice. I’ve also recieved the cleansing powder and mamonde toner through them since I’ve been subscribed since March 2019. So I’m just hoping I dont get those in my variation but if this is going to become a habit, I will cancel. I dont need doubles. I’m in the sub game to try new products.
Nat

Repeat product, cheap brands and weird variations. What is happening to Allure box?! I mean we got Olay in the February box, this is drug store crap. Not the luxury beauty they promise.
