Allure Beauty Box Review – February 2020

… Did anyone else have this lipstick show up in an unmarked package eight months late? I was so, so confused.

I received one of my box and it was the exact same variation. Lipstick color looks good to me! Fingers crossed that I will receive different brush and eye cream in the second box 🙂

I just got my box today. Same box as above except for the eye cream instead of sleep mask. It’s a solid box imo. I’m kind of unhappy about the alcohol as well in the serum, but on the positive side, it’s not denatured alcohol. That’s the worst! Love the lipstick! Mine appears lighter than this on but it’s so soft and flattering! Love the Olay and coupon as well. For me Olay is always a safe bet when unsure of the ingredients in everything else I have on hand.great box overall. Thanks for the review!

Have been disappointed in the Allure box for a while. I remember when their boxes contained higher end products. Now it’s just like the Ipsy box.

I first signed up for January and thought that the box was fantastic but I do not care for February at all. It’s a big disappointment.

My Feb box just arrived and I LOVE the variation I received. I got the exact variation as shown in the review above. The lipstick is beautiful, the brush is super soft and so glad I got the Belif sleeping mask. Totally worth the $15.00 investment.

It appears that the Appeal lipstick is now called Muse Ultra Creme Lipstick on their website and states pre-order on Jan.1st. It shows that all their Luxurious lipsticks are out of stock.

Got my box today.

Disappointed to get the sleeping mask. I wanted the eye cream and I guess I’ll just have to buy it, though I have an Amazon box showing up in a few days, so hope springs eternal.

I’m a little surprised by the lipstick. It’s MUCH lighter than in the pictures and less orange than what I saw in the Allure unboxing video. The case is also much lighter than you might think by looking at it.

I just received my box. I’ve been resubscribed since the hot tools offer (December?). The only variation from this box is that I received the eye cream from belief which I’m happy to have. I love 💕 this lipstick 💄. It’s pretty and feels great on my lips.

My Allure box arrived today. I had canceled for a few months because I was so tired of the variations. Resubbed for January, forgot to skip February, but there’s a few things I will use. Called to skip March this morning.
February box contents: The sheet mask, the BM serum, Olay regenerist (not using), WB highlighter (not using), Variations are: NYX powder brush (yes!), Belif Aqua bomb true cream (it’s a repeat from idk how many subs…. but I’ll use it) and the last item is cargo lipstick in Punta Cana ( This is the same exact brand and shade of the last one I got from Allure. I would think I would have gotten a different shade, but I got the same gaudy, hot pink shade!) I honestly even feel bad about putting it in the donation bin.

The olay clogged my pores so bad. I normally have a few but my face looked like a game of minesweeper, and where you would contour, on my face was full of clusters of acne, sore, ichy, puss filled terribleness

Engraved brushes? I’ve never cared to own a Nyx brush until right now 😂 I’ve been really into personalization lately! And that lipstick is gorgeous too!

Is everybody getting that pretty lipstick color, the likes of which I don’t think I’ve EVER received in a box, or will it be random? (In which case I’ll probably get yet another dark red, brownish purple or beigey nude I can’t use)

Waiting to see which variation I got.

Thank you for pointing out when products have alcohol in them Megan. It makes me immediately lose interest in a product and lack respect for the brand a little. It’s always possible to formulate without alcohol, so why include an ingredient that’s known to break down the skin’s barrier over time? It just doesn’t make sense, so that detail is important to me! I can’t wait to try that lipstick with the way you described it! I’m excited for most of what’s coming in this months box!

Hi Megan. Too funny because the Bare Minerals serum was on my table to try today. Thank goodness the scent was not overpowering for me! It did feel like it dried to a primer on my combo skin. I will give a few days to see how it holds under the makeup.

I own just 1 makeup brush which is an eyeshadow brush from a FFF box yard ago. 🤣 I am thrilled with that brush and the rest of the box.

Doas anyone know what the amazon box has for Feb? I thought they showed the items but it doesnt?

Has anyone gotten their box from amazon yet? What did you get? I’m specifically interested in what lipstick shade amazon is sending. Megan’s Muse shade looks really pretty.

OMG, a hundred brushes! That is quite the collection (no judgement 😘). I am just starting to wear makeup again after a 10 year hiatus. Looking forward to a new brush since mine have seen better decades.

This is a solid box. I’ll never say no to a full-size lippie. Any Amazon subscribers get their box yet? What did you get?

I was very happy with my box this month. I like the brush… I like that i get them in my sub box for less than they cost from from the brand… the face mask are also a personal favorite as well.

When I see a brush in a sub box, it’s an automatic skip for me. That and a highlighter. Needless to say, this month was a miss for me and I am glad I skipped.

Any march allure spoilers yet? I hope theres something to make me think about resubscribing
