I signed up for a year long membership and got a free beachwaver curling iron. Counting the months until I can cancel. Not an ace so limited choice.

Disappointing and I agree with the other person who said birchbox will soon be out of business. I also don’t like how they keep pushing their Arrow brand on us. Glad I cancelled last month.

I saw someone thinking of signing up. Don’t! I signed up under some promotion in the fall. Thinking I once loved B.B. I’ll try them again. It has been THE worst experience. I’m wondering if they are going out of business. I placed some orders the end of 2019. My CC was charged immediately. Two weeks later I realized I hadn’t received a shipping notice or anything. Emailed (no option to call) them to inquire as the orders showed processing. A week later, no response. Found a number to text online. Finally got a reply. Warehouse problems, no inventory. I’ll get a refund. Well, 3 more text inquiries and two months later. Still trying to get those refunds. Stay away is my warning.

Agreed. I cancelled in January, citing that they had never once had a curated box that I wanted to choose actually available for me to choose (always blocked as sold out even though I would sign into my account ASAP at the designated time in order to choose, which was not fun considering I am in California with Pacific Time). They emailed me back in January confirming the cancellation. Then they proceeded to charge me in February and March.

I emailed them beginning of this month because I was showed I would be getting my choice item all the way up to the time my box arrived and I didnt get it. I agree, dont sign up. I tell everyone all the time. They tricked so many of us into signing up for an annual contract with all these offers. Mine was a free box. I was literally sent garbage in that free box. They sent me little travel matrix shampoo n conditioner. I can get that anywhere. Not to mention they were so dirty and dusty like they been sitting in a box thrown somewhere. I threw them out. My fiance travels to fancy hotels all the time. I have thousands of fancy little bottles and I donate what I dont use. They dont even tell us if they have to replace an item and it’s not available anymore, they send us little mystery packs which are also garbage. I’ve had so many items broken, missing, or just not coming. I had a mishap a few months back with my card and tried to get out of their contract and I have to say they were about the most ignorant subscription box customer service I have ever dealt with. They definitely dont care about their customers, what their preferences are, or what you get in your box. Curated boxes are guaranteed in the box. If you dont end up with a curated box, they give u whatever is lying around, broken or not.

I would file a dispute with your credit card! That should either spur Birchbox to refund you or if they don’t, your credit card will. Plus, I think your credit card will credit you back the $$ while you’re waitin, but not sure on this.

I am simply relieved this is my last box. EVER.

Me too. I signed up for a 6 month sub and have been eagerly awaiting that last month. March, then good bye!

Michelle

Is skipping a month an option with Birchbox, or putting your subscription on hold?

Reply ButtonReply

Christi House

No, but you can choose to get $15 in credit for the store if you don’t want the box any given month.

I love everything in March! I would go for any of the boxes – love the last 3 months. Great products at a great price. No other subscription comes close to the quality.

Lol! 😂I LOVE the box design even more than the super cute box from last month!

I’ll try the Floss gloss. I think this may be my last box? I bought a year when they teased the *new* Birchbox experience last spring…. not all it was cracked up to be.

I might re-sub. Birchbox was the first box I ever subbed to and I’ve always had love for them, I feel like they’re a really honest company too… can’t say I feel the same about Ipsy or Boxy after the crap they’ve pulled lately sooo yeah.

Luna

That’s a nice way to get the mask set for only $15 instead of what they’re charging for it now. 🙂 (of course assuming one could it during choice)

Liz

I will be going for the mask set. Backup choice is probably Box 2. I just reached out to BB because I am an Ace and should be able to selected on the 26th, yet the date displayed on the countdown is the 27th. I messed up my early selection last month, and the month before that I think we didn’t get early choice, so I am unsure what my page should say.

I LOL’ed when I saw that Birchbox is featuring the Floss gloss in Yul this month (which Allure is also doing this month).

I’ll take box number 2, and that will be the last box of my annual and my last Birchbox monthly box.

Your so lucky lol. I did everything to get out of my annual contract. No luck. I am happy for you though 🙂 lol

Dorie

Hi ~ If I sign up today, will I be getting February or March box. TIA

Reply ButtonReply

tpop

You’ll get a completely random box os samples for February.

Nat

LOL and by putting Limited Quantities on all curated boxes it assures you that unless you are an ace, you are out of luck. The best thing I see here are the masks set, but I already have it and who knows how many of those they got. Easy pass

Gigi

Right?!? That’s so ridiculous – lol! I’m sure I would love one of the curated boxes, but know that there’s no way I’ll get one. Am guessing they make about a couple dozen of each just so their advertising looks good and they can send to bloggers. Yet another month of swapping for points. Can’t wait until I’m free of BB.

Alice

Even we Aces don’t always get our choice.

Callmeinge

I agree…I didn’t get my choice item twice despite doing it in the morning (maybe because my time zone is PST?).

Debra Hamilton

The box is just as ugly as last month, will try for box 1,or mask set.
