I used the Iconic London Eye shadow pallette for the first time today. I love the colors so much but the glitter shadows made my Eye lids burn. Anyone else have this reaction?

I got my box today, without my choice item. I got the eye shadow when I requested the sommerville…I also got the makeup brushes, the pur primer, the first aid pads and a touch in sol glassy skin balm which I have not seen in any spoilers, nor in any reviews so not sure why I got that one.

Amanda H

The touch in sol glassy skin balm was in a box a month or two ago I think. So it was probably left over to be honest. But I do own it and I absolutely love it. It works wonders on my skin. I wish I would’ve gotten another one this month lol. I hope you like it and hope this helps.

Received my box today, without a card, and without my CONFIRMED CHOICE item. They sent a duplicate item. This is so frustrating. It is bait and switch and/or fraud to confirm that they will be sending you something that you have paid for, an agreement, and then not do it. I’ll be contacting my credit card company and cancelling Luxe, Premium, and Base boxes. Sick and tired of the knock off brands as so much useless filler.

If anyone is looking for weights, mine was 1.1 lbs and had:
Brush trio
FAB pads
Ciate powder
QMS eye product
Hemp facial wipes

I’ve never received a BC box without a card enclosed. They have lost a customer by this constant switching at the last minute and now, not even sending what a customer paid for.

My box says 2.1 and I chose sommerville

My box finally has a shipping label created! It’s 2.1 lbs and I chose Kate Somerville. I’m hoping for the self tanner.

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

I received mine today. Version 19. 2.1 lbs.

Iconic London palette – my choice
Luxie sponges
Amika Supernova cream
First Aid Beauty pads
Evio Hemp wipes

On the info card, Boxy states that the hemp wipes ‘remove waterproof makeup’; but, evidently that doesn’t include eye makeup because, on the package, it clearly states to avoid the eyes.

The Chinese-made IL palette also has a warning on the package to not let the product get in the eyes. WTH. EYEshadow with an eye warning. Truly, none of us are going to jam shadow INTO our eyes, but there definitely is inadvertent eye contact from fallout. One does have to keep one’s eyes open to apply shadow. I tested the palette with trepidation. The shadows are beautiful hues, but there is significant fallout. The colors in this palette are the best collection, imo, that Boxy has offered sincentives I’ve subscribed. I wish it wasn’t an outsourced palette. I’ve ordered the real IC palette from IL and made in Italy. Haven’t received it yet.

Not sure if I’m going to continue with BC. I chose the Murad eye for March, but the packaging for that shown by Boxy is not the same as I receive from Murad. I wonder if it’s going to be outsourced too.

Alice

Update, Iconic London confirmed that they are outsourcing products to China, including those sold from their site and the Boxycharm palettes. They confirmed that they removed beeswax to become vegan, and that they are adjusting several formulas.

Anyone who has a 1.2 lbs shipping weight box — get it yet? If so, what did you get?

Reply ButtonReply

Em

Yea I did. I got the IL pallets, setting powder, Luxie sponges, Moda eye brushes and this horrible shade of red lipstick by Queen. I’m super bummed. I wanted more skin care and I already have Moda brushes like these. Hope yours is better

Reply ButtonReply

Ana

I got same box. I dont know who wears that shade of red but it’s awful. I didn’t even get the card showing the items.
I was so disappointed I cancelled my subscription.

Ves

Mine was 2.1 on FedEx’s site and received it yesterday. I picked the eye shadow palette as choice.
*Eye shadow Palette
*Alamar trio brush set
*Beauty blending sponge
*Amika Hair Cream
*Hemp Cleaning Wipes

Reply ButtonReply

lanie

@Ves – thank you. I didn’t pick between the palette and Kate Somerville’s face product.. I forgot. It seems like the 2+ lbs boxes have the palette…so I am assuming I didn’t get it. I appreciate you taking the time to respond!

Cheryl

I got Moda eye brushes, which I guess is fine cuz I love Moda brushes. I also got the Luxie sponges. But the rest is a miss. Pur primer- never helps me. Kate Somerville active drops -because I need more stuff I’ll never use. and Amika Supernova- I’ve found a leave in that I love already, the bottle is cool though. Hope it looks as good covered in dust.

What the five flying flamingos Boxycharm? Not a single makeup item? 👎boo👎

Ashler

I got this same box. I picked the KS serum and I’m good with the Amika, and I don’t mind lots of skincare, but the rest, meh.

Reply ButtonReply

SoberGirlMakeup

Got my February box today, only my second box ever. I didn’t receive ANY actual makeup products in my box this month. I did get the Pur primer, I don’t necessarily consider primer a makeup product, tho. Anyway, I’m pretty disappointed because there were definitely makeup products that I would’ve liked to receive. I will uploading a video talking about it later.

Reply ButtonReply

Em

Yea I just received my box and would have preferred yours. I picked the palette but got the setting powder which is ok, Moda eye brushes that I already own, red lipstick I’ll never wear and sponges when I’m a brush girl by preference. Body def missed the mark this month. I was hoping for more skin care like the first aid beauty pads but nope. I’m super bummed

Reply ButtonReply

Blonde1021

Got my box today, figured I was getting brushes cause well I chose the pallet, nope! Sponges and pallet! Ciate powder, Laura Geller and face wipes, happy girl!

Reply ButtonReply

Cindy

January was my first box. I received 3 items that was not in January variation items. Does this usually happen?

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

Mine finally shipped.

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda H

Hi guys I haven’t seen anyone with my variation yet so I figured I would share. It didn’t come with a card this time though so I don’t know what variation number it is. My weight was 1.3 pounds and my dimensions are 9×7×3. I recieved the becca foundation (my choice) I got the luxie sponges, the fab pads, the makeup wipes, and the ciate London setting powder. Overall I’m pretty happy except I chose a shade or two too light of the foundation lol. Other than that I love my box. Hope this helps. Have a great day!!

Twinmomapril

My box should come tomorrow! I’m praying I get the sponges instead of the brushes. If I do and someone wants to trade u can dm me on Instagram @twinmomapril

Reply ButtonReply

Lynn lugo

Funny I’m really hoping for brushes, I dont like sponges…

Sharon

I got the same box you did. I’m disappointed I got the setting powder and sponges because I have already received them before and I don’t use either product.

Reply ButtonReply

Tiffany

I received my box today. I chose the serum. Got the brushes, PV mascara, setting powder and Qveen matte lip stain

Reply ButtonReply

Tammy

I received an email notification yesterday telling me my box has not even been shipped and they apologize for the delay wow
I got to Becca foundation in sand and shell both are too like for me just to let you guys know I probably should have went for the vanilla I’m not very dark-skinned but I’m not ultra light skinned but the sand and shell kind of gave fake look to my face it wasn’t very natural

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda

Omg I know exactly what you mean. I got the foundation and I picked a shade way too light. I chose linen. I thought since I was kinda pale it would be perfect but nope I look like casper!!

Heather

I just got my box today! I had picked the Becca foundation and got with it the Luxie sponge set, Ciaté London everyday vacay setting powder, first aid beauty radiance pads and Evio skin hemp wipes! I’m happy with everything in my box because I know I will use everything! I had also got the Becca as an add on! Does anyone have advice on this foundation? My color matches, but I’ve tried with and without primer and it just looks so cakey on my face which is odd bc I have oily skin. I did use a setting powder so that might be some of the problem! I wore it to work the other day and had a family emergency which made my cry and the tears took the foundation right off my face, I looked like a clown! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda H

Try using it with a setting spray instead of the powder. Powder always makes me look really cakey even with the best foundation. And with this becca I also mixed it with my tarte shape tape foundation, ones too light the other too dark lol, but it worked really good together and stayed all day through work and all night. I work around food which is really hot too. Hope this helps!!

Reply ButtonReply

Maritza Gonzalez

Try to use the Becca foundation without a setting powder.
Then try it with a premier if that does not work.
I use SPF30 first wait for it to dry then apply my foundation. I do not use a setting powder and rarely premier and it looks natural. I have combination skin. It is dry in the winter and oily in the Summer.
Though my sister has oily skin. I have never seen her use a setting powder with her foundation.
Premiers maybe.

Anyone with a 1.2 lbs box — get their box yet..? If so, what did it have in it?

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda H

I’m pretty sure mine was 1.2 or 1.3 and the dimensions were 9×3×7 I do believe. But I picked the foundation and also received the setting powder, fab face wipes, the makeup remover wipes and the sponges. Hope this helps.

tammy g.

i just hope I get a lot of skincare products…I already picked out the eye cream..

Reply ButtonReply

Joyce

I cancelled awhile back. If I resub this week will I get to pick a product or is it to late?

Reply ButtonReply

Jackie

It’s too late to pick a product, it is done the month before.

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca

If you have olive or yellow tones to your skin this tanning water/drops will turn your skin orange

Reply ButtonReply

Tammy

Thanks for heads up!!!

Reply ButtonReply

nicole

I hope that is is not in my box I am already tan (sn i’m black)

Reply ButtonReply

Mik

Great…It will totally be in my box ☹️

Reply ButtonReply

Lesly

I chose the foundation and hope I also get the ciate. I love those setting powders!

Reply ButtonReply

Marion

I picked the Kate Somerville serum, & I really like this spoiler version, so ::fingers crossed::

Reply ButtonReply

Chris

I chose the Kate Somerville, and now I’m terrified I’m going to get the 2nd box. I chose skincare last month and ended up with a skincare heavy box, and I should have thought about it and chosen one of the makeup products this month instead.
After finding a video from 2017 about the “limited edition” palette, I wasn’t keen on choosing it.

Reply ButtonReply

Amy

I really hope I get something like the first variation. They didn’t let me pick and I really like the pallate. I don’t really want the tanning drops. I just bought the Becca foundation in my perfect shade in add-ons so darkening my skin would be crazy, lol

Reply ButtonReply

Bess

I’ve never used any self-tanning products, but would actually be excited to try it. If I’m ever going to try it, I want it in a subscription box where I’m paying pennies on the dollar LOL. But from the sound of things, hardly anyone wants it, so I’m sure it will be all over selling/trade sites later this month. 😎🌞

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

As long as I don’t receive those tanning drops, I’m good with anything else shown. (If you’re not familiar with them, don’t be afraid of those radiance pads from FAB; they’re awesome and anyone would get use out of those.) I’m most looking forward to the palette.

Reply ButtonReply

rokonrae

This is my first Boxycharm box and I’m not super excited about the box itself. I mainly just signed up to shop the Boxy Pop-Up sale. After that I will cancel. This box seems very makeup heavy and the skin care products that are in it are on constant rotation throughout all the subscription boxes. It’s unfortunate, the whole point of subscription boxes, to me at least, is to try new brands and items.

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

BC is, generally, makeup-focused.

Judith Acosta

I agree, some months are a miss, but some months are amazing!!!, I can’t quite, i’m addict ti boxycharm lol
