Gwynnie Bee January 2020 Review
This review is for each of the three-at-a-time items I received January 9th, 2020:
Vintage Floral Faux Wrap Jersey Dress by Donna Morgan, Size 20W — Retail Value $61
As soon as I laid eyes on this beauty, I knew I had to closet this piece! Anyone that knows me is aware of my love of all that is vintage and vintage inspired, so this piece was a must. I have a few pieces I actually own by Donna Morgan, namely this dress I reviewed for Dia & Co a few months ago. This dress, much like the eggplant snake print dress of my dreams, is made of the comfiest jersey material with loads of stretch. This is the kind of dress one could travel in while looking effortlessly stylish! Win/win, right? I also love the retro flutter sleeves-- this detail just adds more '70s appeal! The earth tones in this dress make it ideal to mix with leopard print, like I did with my faux fur coat. I added cream colored booties to top off this killer look! This dress will look fantastic in warmer months with mustard or pink flats, or in the fall and winter with black tights, a faux fur coat, booties, and a floppy, large brimmed hat.
Paisley Mock Neck Midi Dress by ModCloth, Size 2x — Retail Value $65.50
Another perfectly vintage-inspired piece I absolutely had to try! ModCloth slays when it comes to all that is retro and the best part is their inclusive size range: this dress is offered on their site in sizes XXS through 4x! The site currently is sold out of this dress in all sizes but XXS and 4x, so I was extremely pleased to scoop up this beauty in my size! The paisley print reminds me of an old scarf I own that belonged to my grandmother, which makes me appreciate this piece that much more. Certainly, this dress is beautiful, but it also is rather easy to wear. The material is made of a stretchy, jersey-like cotton. I styled this dress with another faux fur coat, orange glitter glasses from Wherelight.com, and my favorite new gold faux snakeskin western-style booties from ShoeDazzle (review coming soon!). This dress is ideal for the office, but also would look snazzy out on the town with red booties and a faux leather biker jacket.
Zebra Wild Kingdom Sweater by Sanctuary Clothing, Size 2x — Retail Value $67
I have found over the years, the older I get, the colder I am in the winter. I used to be the type that would rarely wear winter coats. Now, I not only wear those coats, but I have an ever-growing pile of sweaters. Yes, give me all those cozy knits, please and thanks! So, when you combine my love of sweaters with animal print-- you know I am into it! This zebra print sweater is not only incredibly warm and fuzzy, but rather stylish. I usually wear my clothes incredibly fitted, but I appreciate the roominess of this piece! I styled this item with my new favorite Molly&Isadora Jeans from my latest Dia & Co review, aviator glasses, and vintage booties. I feel cute AND warm-- what a concept! Wear this precious piece to the office or out and about with a black mini skirt and tights or faux leather leggings and booties for extra sass!
Verdict: Gwynnie Bee continues to be one of my favorite subscription boxes to review. It was the first box I reviewed for MSA and remains to be one I always look forward to unboxing. I love not only being able to try on items, but also being able to rent and actually wear the pieces. I feel like I have a magical, never ending, revolving closet like Cher's from Clueless with this service! Though I select the items myself, the pieces I am sent are at random from Gwynnie Bee. This month's selections felt like a dreamy, vintage-inspired capsule collection of sorts! Every piece fit my personality and style to a T-- they felt like they were made for me! I love a service like Gwynnie Bee especially because I am always on the go-- I work two jobs and a variety of side gigs. Free time is a wild concept to me, so having a box full of beautiful clothes delivered to me directly without going to the mall is a blessing. Did I also mention that Gwynnie Bee provides free dry cleaning and shipping for returned items? Talk about worry free! I just pop the items in that purple prepaid envelope and away they go! The other great thing is how inclusive they are in providing sizes 0-32-- myself and all my friends can indulge in Gwynnie Bee! I can't recommend them enough, I tell ya!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! All three pieces are available to rent or purchase.

Value Breakdown: Gwynnie Bee’s costs range depending on your subscription and how many items you are sent at a time. I have the $95 three-item-at-a-time plan. This includes free shipping and returns. I can get as many pieces as I like monthly, as long as I return each item first. I got three items this month. The three items total up to $193.50, which is $98.50 more than my monthly subscription fee! That is a heck of a value, but imagine if had I returned these pieces and received even more! Wow!
