Ipsy is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. Each month you get full-size or deluxe-sized products, plus a cute makeup bag.
This is one of Liz’s top recommendations if you are looking for a subscription box – the value and sample sizes are amazing. (Check out our list of the best beauty boxes for 2020 and our reviews of Cheap Subscription Boxes for more recommendations!)
(FYI – Just like Birchbox, Ipsy sends out many different variations of their bag each month – so my review is just one of the bag variations you might receive!)

My Ipsy Glam Bag January 2020 Review
My bag this month features skincare, makeup, and a makeup brush. Let’s see what I got!
A card with information about the month's theme, your included items, and other Ipsy info is provided.
Each month, Ipsy subscribers get a makeup bag in addition to their items. This month featured a white and grey marble with a pink interior.
Ahava Dead Sea Water Mineral Hand Cream in Sea Kissed, 40 ml/1.3 fl oz - Estimated Value $9.18 (Buy a 3.4 fl oz full size for $24)
I have very dry hands and use moisturizer multiple times a day so I love trying new hand creams. This is a great sample size! The scent is lovely – light and relaxing – and the texture is rich without being greasy and leaves my hands feeling velvety.
Luxie Beauty 560 Medium Fan Flawless Brush - FULL SIZE! Retail Value $18
I'm pretty sure I have my preferences set to no brushes, but I still receive one every once in a while. I already have several fan brushes so I'll give this to a friend. Aside from that, the quality of this brush is good and the pearl handle and rose gold ferrule are pretty. The bristles are vegan and cruelty-free.
Bellápierre Cosmetics Mineral Lipstick in Ruby, 3.5g - FULL SIZE! Retail Value $20
I'm really impressed with the silky, lightweight feel of this lipstick. The cool-toned, vibrant red shade is pretty but a bit too bright for me on its own but looks nice layered with a deeper lip pencil. I don't get much in terms of moisture from the formula but it does last a while.
Morphe Fluidity Full-Coverage Concealer in 1.55, 4.5 ml - FULL SIZE! Retail Value $9
Admittedly, I don't incorporate concealer into my daily makeup routine. But, there are still times when I need more coverage than my foundation provides. The lightweight formula covers any redness I have without looking cakey and gives me a full day of wear without much breakdown. The shade is perfect for my complexion too! And the price...wow.
Banila Co Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Original, 7 ml/0.24 fl oz - Estimated Value $1.33 (Buy a 100 ml full size for $19)
I use the 2-step cleansing method every night – starting with a cleansing balm followed by a creamy cleanser – so this is a great sample for me. It performs just as well, if not better, than my go-to balm and removes all of my mascara, lipstick, and sunscreen without much work. There is fragrance in it (I prefer fragrance-free) but it is so light I can hardly detect it.
Swatches of the Bellápierre lipstick and Morphe concealer.
Here, I've been wearing the Morphe concealer (around my eyes, nose, and chin) and the Bellápierre lipstick for about 6 hours. I'm impressed that I don't have flaking, creasing, or cakiness under my eyes and that the lip color is still hanging on after coffee and lunch.
Verdict: I'm pretty happy with my Ipsy Glam Bag selections this month. I'm glad I was able to try the Morphe concealer and Banila Co cleansing balm. I don't need another fan brush, and I expressed no interest in brushes in my preferences, but I'll give it to a friend. The total value of the products in my Ipsy Glam Bag is $57.51. I think it's great to be able to try all of these products for just $12 a month.
