Pura Vida Jewelry Club "The Love Letter Set" February 2020 Review
One thing I enjoy about Pura Vida is that they always send some nice stickers with their jewelry. The designs are really fun and they always come packaged inside this foldout card that shares their story and details how they give back. They create over 200 full-time jobs for artisans worldwide!
Your jewelry will arrive in this nice sturdy box with a magnetic closure that would be perfect for gifting. Inside is some fun tropical tissue paper that makes for such a nice presentation! The card on top of our tissue paper welcomes us to the club and reminds us how our exclusive jewelry is only available to club members. I love the cute heart sticker they included this month!
Just a note: This card states that the value will be up to $50, while their website lists it as being up to $65. This is a little confusing, and also could be misleading since the higher value is listed on their website, but after a quick (and easy) chat with customer service they confirmed that the $65 value is correct.
Your jewelry comes in little dustbags each month which are perfect for storing your jewelry in. These are a bit different than the ones that come in their bracelet club pack. These are a little smoother and sleeker in my opinion.
Heart Silhouette Ring
I was excited to see some rose gold this month since it seems like we've only received silver lately and I love that they went with something festive, too! This ring is really pretty to me. It reminds me of a handmade wire ring, except this one-piece ring is seamless making it look sleeker. The heart silhouette is large, but since it is just the outline, it doesn't feel bulky nor does it draw too much attention. I think because it also feels somewhat abstract with the heart being sideways and not overly obvious at first glance. It's a cute and subtle ring for Valentine's Day!
Here it is on. It's shiny, lightweight, and comfortable.
Rose Gold LOVE Choker
Chokers are not really my thing, so I was glad to see that this had several options for the length ranging from 14 to just under 17 inches so that I could wear it a little lower on my neck. Again, I love the rose gold and the glass stone for the O is a fun and sparkly touch. As a whole though, this necklace is not quite my style. I think if the letters were a tad smaller, I'd be comfortable wearing this one as a daily necklace, but they are a bit large and more obvious than the subtle heart of our ring. I do think it's a cute design for Valentine's Day, but it feels more like something I would have worn in my college years!
Here it is on. The first photo is on the loosest setting while I have it on the second smallest setting in the second photo for more of a choker look.
Here are the two pieces together, coordinating nicely with their shiny rose gold!
Here I tried to get them both in the same photo for you. Definitely a fun Valentine's look!
The Verdict: I am happy that Pura Vida Jewelry Club switched it up this month and included some rose gold pieces for us which is great since I am a bit silvered out. I also love that they went with a festive design for the month of February, although I didn't get my set in time to wear it for Valentine's Day. I really like the ring a lot more than I expected to since it is such a simple design. The necklace, while not quite my taste, was still cute and went well with the ring. If those letters had been just a bit daintier, I think I would have liked it a bit more! I think I'll try my niece and see what she thinks! This is a fun subscription for $19.95/month and I am excited to see what next month brings!
