Kat Von D Go Big or Go Home Mascara, 0.08 oz - Estimated Value $6 (Certificate redeems for the 0.33 oz version worth $24)

This mascara impressed me! I’ve always been a fan of the liquid lipsticks from KVD, but this was my first time trying their mascara. It added good curl to my lashes without clumping, and it didn’t smear on me, either.

Lancôme Monsieur Big Mascara, 0.13 oz - Retail Value $13 (Certificate redeems for the 0.33 oz version worth $25)

This really gave me that volume I crave from mascara, but I did have to be a bit more careful to avoid clumping. This is a winner for me, though I am not surprised because I love almost all of the mascaras Lancôme offers.

tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes™ 4-in-1 Mascara, 0.10 oz - Estimated Value $9.86 (Certificate redeems for the 0.24 oz version worth $23)

I like the tarte brand as a whole, but I don’t love this mascara the way many people do. This gives decent volume and separation of my lashes without clumping, but whenever I use it I know within a few hours it will have smeared onto the skin under my eyes.

Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Lengthening and Volumizing Mascara, 0.14 oz - Retail Value $13 (Certificate redeems for the 0.30 oz version worth $25)

This is a good mascara for me. It accentuated the natural length of my lashes and added a bit of curl without clumping, and it kept my lashes separated. This isn’t a holy grail mascara that I must repurchase (it would need to give my lashes more lift for that), but I like having it around to layer with other mascaras.

FENTY BEAUTY by Rihanna Full Frontal Volume, Lift and Curl Mascara, 0.051 oz - Estimated Value $2.69 (Certificate redeems for the 0.42 oz version worth $24)

I was stoked to try this brand new release from Fenty! Full Frontal promises volume, lift, length, and curl. This has a unique wand that is wide at one angle and more flat at another, so you can really manipulate the way you apply it depending on the needs of your lashes. I was really happy with how this worked on me, but it does occasionally smear on my under-eyes.

The Verdict: I enjoyed the mascaras featured in this kit. Sometimes curated sets like these will only feature cult-classics (that are everywhere), and then I don’t get to enjoy the fun of trying new products. This featured a hot new release in the Fenty mascara as well as a KVD mascara I’ve never tried, and those were the stars in the box for me. I haven’t decided between the two which one I will be redeeming my voucher for, but I feel comfortable saying I can’t go wrong between the two.
