Switch is a jewelry rental service that lets you try out designer jewelry without the commitment. You pick your favorite pieces and try them out for as long as you want with a relatively small monthly fee. Switch also offers the option to purchase jewelry pieces at a discounted member price. For every month that you’re a member, you get a $10 credit that you can use towards the purchase of a piece of jewelry at the special member price.
This is a review of the $69 Black Membership that includes 3 pieces a month.
Switch offers free Priority shipping via USPS (1-3 day expected arrival). Each package comes with a prepaid USPS return label, so you can leave your return for your mail carrier or drop it off at the post office if you’re the nervous type. Shipping is free both ways, and they just ask that you package your items just as they were received to return them. It’s important to save the mailer and packaging for your return.

Switch Subscription Box February 2020 Review
Everything arrived in a super slick and very high-end looking black box. Inside, there were multiple info cards explaining all the deets about this subscription. All of these cards are really informative and helpful in explaining all the facets of this service. They cover care tips, return instructions, and even a guide if you fall head over heels in love with a piece, which... does... happen.
Let's see what I picked this month!
David Yurman Solari Bracelet with Turquoise and Diamonds – Retail Value $495.00, Member Price $395.00
I guess this is my first David Yurman piece which is actually surprising since I have loved these designs for a long time. I have a very glamorous aunt who always has a few of these thin cuffs around her wrists! I selected this turquoise piece because I feel like turquoise is never a bad choice! It also feels very fresh when paired with more formal shapes and materials. This cuff was light as air but felt very well made. The little diamonds around the base of the turquoise orb gave it just a little sparkle too.
Isn't that blue insanely pretty?
Celine Byzantine Small Enamel, Crystal, and Pearl Hoop Earrings– Retail Value $690.00, Member Price $550.00
This time last year I would have told you red was a color I hated, especially on myself. But over the last few months, I have been really leaning into red pops of color with my accessories. When I saw these hoops were available to borrow I snagged 'em! They are a great smaller size but feel hefty due to the thickness of the hoop itself. They are a little on the heavy side but nothing bothersome, and they are speckled with little pearls and crystals! I wore these with my hair up and an oversized grey sweater with black pleather skinnies and with leopard flats to brunch last week and felt very, very chic.
They look like candy.
Chanel Vintage Enamel Logo Mushroom Necklace – Retail Value $850.00, Member Price $795.00
I guess the main reason I selected this little necklace was that it was just so odd and quirky. A mushroom covered in CCs? Sure! I also liked the peachy color of the enamel. This is a vintage piece but it is in great condition. It arrived on a 16-inch gold-tone chain that set at a great point on my neck. This little 'shroom is highly detailed and very cute, though that sticker price is a little terrifying. I guess vintage Chanel retains its value well, even if it is a mushroom charm!
I feel like I am weird enough to pull this off well.
The Verdict: My Switch assortment this month was colorful and quirky, just like me. I kind of just picked pieces that made me smile when I looked at them and I really liked this month's fun assortment. I am notoriously shy about wearing blatant label covered items, but the mushroom this month was an exception. It felt silly and ironic in a way I very much enjoyed. The David Yurman bangle was another winner, and my wrist will certainly miss it. The red hoop earrings were an excellent way for me to explore my newfound love of red in a very high-end way without the price tag. Switch continues to be a really fun and affordable luxury subscription I look forward to each month.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Pieces can get snatched up quickly, and the number of pieces they have per style varies. You may or may not see these pieces in their available inventory list – but you might just see something you like even more! This isn’t a “styled” subscription, meaning you can pick exactly what you want from the available list – it’s not selected for you based on an algorithm or your preferences.

Value Breakdown: In this shipment, I tried out $2035.00 of jewelry for $69 – which is about 3.4% of their retail value and a great deal if it works for your budget and needs. It’s pricier than Rocksbox (which offers mid-range designer jewelry) but less than Rent the Runway (which offers designer jewelry, accessories, and clothes, too).
