BarkBox is a reader-favorite monthly subscription box for dogs.
BarkBox customizes your box to your dog’s size. For reference, this review is for the medium size, which is recommended for dogs 20-50 lbs. We recently changed the size because Tucker, our Standard Poodle, is the most playful pup in the house when it comes to toys.
FYI: Two of my dogs are quite old! Piper (the minpin) has to eat soft food and has trouble with hard treats. Charlie is a pug, and a glutton who will eat LITERALLY anything. They both still really enjoy toys, though it has been years since either of them managed to destroy anything.
If you have a younger pup or just one who needs toys of the rough and tumble variety, I highly recommend trying the Super Chewer subscription (read our reviews to learn more!).
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

February 2020 BarkBox "The Barkies" Review
The details behind our items this month were printed inside, on the box lining.
The February box included 2 toys, 2 bags of treats, and a chew - this is close to what you can expect with your monthly subscription, though it does vary for everyone once in a while.
A lot of these items are marked as 'Sold Out' on the BarkBox app - but they have a little 'As Seen In BarkBox' section of the BarkShop where you can grab items featured in monthly themes.
The Best Bananactor Treats, 4.5 oz - Retail Value $5.00
So Tucker is close to being banana crazy. He adores anything banana flavored or scented. This is a dog that has taken a banana off the kitchen island before. I knew these would be irresistible to him, and I was proven correct...
Best Duck-umentary Treats, 4.5 oz - Retail Value $5.00
Sure, these aren't banana flavored, but duck is pretty great too! These are a great size for training treats and though they are a little hard for Piper, the boys loved them.
This is usually where I have images of the dogs patiently waiting for each treat. Well... there was an incident. Tucker is my first large dog, and I underestimated his reach onto the countertops. I came home from an errand and found that all three dogs had already sampled every single treat and left the bags shredded around the house. Needless to say, these were a huge hit, whether I liked it or not.
The Barkie Award for 'Best Original Smell' - Listed Value $10.00
I had to laugh at this golden toilet award for 'Best Original Smell'. My dogs are certainly eligible for that award. It is stuffed with a squeaker and loads of crinkle! Also included was a super squeaky tennis ball, making this feel like a 2 in 1 toy that Tucker LOVED.
It might be all the extra energy from those treats, but he was all about this thing.
He even fell asleep on the couch with it all by himself.
But he was down to play more after a quick nap!
Chew Are You Wearing? Toy - Listed Value $10.00
I cannot handle this toy. One side is a tux, and the other is a detailed jeweled necklace. It is filled with crinkle and a massive loud squeaker.
Charlie wears a tuxedo very well indeed!
Thinkers Chew Stick
You guessed it! This is a Tucker treat. The little ones don't have the best teeth anymore, or, in Piper's case, any teeth left. But Tucker is a younger guy who needs things to chew on, so I saved this for a later evening when the seniors went to bed.
Verdict: BarkBox was so much fun. The creativity in this team always blows me away. I am so loving the squeaky collar for its playtime fun and fashion too. Tucker is now toilet obsessed, though thankfully it is with the toilet toy and not an actual toilet. I am spending a lot more time with the pups as of late and this box was so much fun to share with them, even if they didn't really wait to enjoy the treats appropriately.
