I've been subscribing to CBS All Access for a few shows I love, and I definitely recommend it for the free month trial at least to see if you would watch it enough to justify the cost. (In addition to almost all regular CBS shows, they also have shows exclusive to the service, like Star Trek: Picard, The Good Fight, and The Twilight Zone.)
Here are my 3 CBS All Access favorite shows that I highly recommend:
Survivor
If you've never watched it, or haven't watched it since it first aired 20 years ago (!), I encourage you to reconsider! I think it's the best reality show of all time! My husband Eric and I started with Season 37 when I read a few articles in Entertainment Weekly talking about how amazing the season was, and we were hooked! We've since watched at least 15 more of the seasons, and are currently loving season 40.
If you are thinking of trying out Survivor, let me know, and I'll give you a recommendation on which season(s) to start with!
The Good Wife
If you love a good legal drama and you haven't watched The Good Wife yet, this should be your next TV show. If you love shows where underestimated women find their strength and take charge, this should be your next TV show. It's pretty amazing that a show that produces 22 episodes a season can be this good, and as I'm typing this out I'm convincing myself that it's time for a rewatch.
And this show created my favorite TV character of all time, Elsbeth Tascioni!
The Good Fight
First, if you are already a fan of this show, season 4 starts April 9th! This is a spinoff of The Good Wife, and it's what I consider to be a perfect spinoff (just like Better Call Saul). Some of my favorite characters returned (including Elsbeth!), the acting and writing are just as good, but it is its own unique show with a different feel (and a much louder opening credit song!)
While you could watch this show on its own without seeing The Good Wife, I definitely recommend watching The Good Wife first.
