Ecocentric Mom February 2020 Review
Kid O Mini Go Car - Retail Value $5.95
Bennett has really been into cars lately so this little car is perfect for him! I love that it has the handle at the top for him to drive it around. It's such a great size for his little hands, too. Not too big or too small!
He was happy to test it out right away!
Pet the Pets by Sarah Lynne Reul - Retail Value $8.99 (found here for $7.48)
It looks like books are making a regular occurrence in our boxes and I can't say that I mind! This book actually had quite a few pages for a board book and was filled with all sorts of cute pets. I loved how interactive the text was by asking the child to help each animal by performing a task such as scratching their ears or pinching some leaves for them. The flaps were a bit thin and hard to grasp, but I loved that they opened up to reveal a different color and some sounds to go along with the positive phrases!
Cheengoo Handmade Backpack Charm – Retail Value $12.00
I think this next item is meant to be for Bennett since it has a clip (and keyring) to attach it to a backpack, but it's so cute that I am tempted to keep it for myself! This handmade jellyfish has adorable little tentacles dangling down and while it has multiple means of clipping it somewhere, the clips are actually removable thanks to a smaller clip at the top of its head. This little guy is made with 100% cotton yarn and is filled with PLA corn fiberfill.
Little Luminary Minty - Retail Value $8.99
This daily lotion was such a refreshing mint scent and while I didn't find it overwhelming, it was definitely minty but played down a bit by all of the additional ingredients including sweet orange peel and neroli oils and lavender and roman chamomile flower waters which may attribute to the balanced scent. This stuff instantly hydrated my dry hands and made them feel smoother and softer. They recommend popping this in the fridge for a nice cooling effect. In addition to being vegan and cruelty-free, this lotion is also free from sulfates, parabens, and phthalates. They also included a 25% off coupon for us.
Naturally London Exhale Foot Soak, 4 oz - Estimated Value $12.50 (Buy a full-size 8 oz for $25.00)
This foot soak looks a bit intimidating with these black stones! This handcrafted foot soak contains 2-3 treatments and is vegan and cruelty-free. It contains matcha which draws out toxins and possesses anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties to help protect your skin as well as chlorella which is anti-inflammatory and detoxifying while also providing vitamins and minerals. The menthol in this definitely stands out when smelling it along with what might be lemongrass. I am looking forward to soaking my feet to refresh them in preparation for sandal season!
Sincerely Different Sweet Dreams Salve, 0.5 oz. - Retail Value $10.00
This little salve can be rubbed on your temples, behind the ears or on your wrists to help you get to sleep. This salve contains German blue chamomile, lavender, blood orange, and frankincense oils along with shea butter, beeswax, avocado oil, sweet almond oil. arrowroot powder, glycerine, and vitamin E. I definitely get a lot of the chamomile on the nose and found it to be pretty pleasant. I'm a terrible sleeper, but I did have a pretty decent night of sleep after using it, so maybe it really does work? I'm excited to test it out again!
Verdict: This month's Ecocentric Mom box was another great mix of items for my son and me. I really liked the pampering products that I received and how they all came from smaller businesses. I like that they included both a book and a toy for Bennett, and that cute little backpack charm was unique and adorable! I am estimating the total value of this box to be about $58.43 which is great for this $36.99 (plus free shipping) box!
