Anyone else’s box come yet? Mine came yesterday, after shipping on the 19th. I’m quite pleased with it. I’ll list what I got at the end of my comment, in case people don’t want spoilers.*

I’d already skipped April because I wasn’t willing to be charged for a second box without having received my first, but now that I have the box in my hands I think I might re-activate. They did mention in an email that they were planning on limiting the number of boxes for April due to COVID-19, just fyi if you’re on the fence about the subscription.

*Box Spoilers Follow*

– Mavie’s Take Me to…Paris palette ($23): Even more gorgeous in real life. I’m so excited to use it.

– Ere Perez Beetroot Cheek & Lip Tint in Joy ($29): Another wonderful product. You can apply with the doe foot applicator for a highly pigmented look, or pat it on with a finger for a more diffused look (my preference). I do wish I’d gotten the pink shade instead of the red because while the red is beautiful on the lips, on my pale cheeks it makes me look like a clown. Oh well.

– DIME Beauty Hyaluronic Acid Serum ($28): A basic-but-nice hydrating serum that does what it says on the tin and leaves my skin feeling soft. I’ve added it to my night time routine. The bottle itself looks very luxe.

– DIME Beauty Super Eye Duo ($49): A two-piece set containing a lash serum and mascara. I have no use for lash serums (lucky, I know) and also need another mascara like I need a hole in my head, so I’ll either sell or gift this. I think it’s a good inclusion, though.

– This Way by Julie Pallesen Eye Sunscreen SPF 50 ($24): This is an interesting product. I thought it was an eye cream at first, but it bills itself as an eye sunscreen (and it definitely has the consistency of a sunscreen, rather than a cream; it’s also slightly tinted). I looked up This Way and it’s apparently a UK-based company that makes and sells travel accessories; their skincare line is produced in Spain. I already use a mineral sunscreen, but I could see myself reaching for this if I was traveling somewhere sunny and needed the extra protection. The ingredients list looks good, although it does contain mint and citrus oils, which I’m not crazy about applying around my eyes.

– Revele Mandarin + Basil Makeup Remover Wipes, 30 ct ($6): Cool, I could always use makeup remover wipes. I’ll stash these in my gym bag for whenever I’m eventually allowed to go back to the gym. They contain CBD extract, which makes me laugh – what on earth benefit am I getting from briefly rubbing CBD on my face?!

Overall, I think the value for a $32 box is definitely there. I’d pay that much for the makeup products alone. The serum and wipes will definitely get used. The mascara/lash serum is nice, just not for me. I thought the mix of brands was good – the only one I was familiar with was DIME Beauty, but I subbed to this box because I was tired of the mainstream brands subs like Boxy and Ipsy featured over and over again, so I’m happy to discover new brands.

I hope that helps anyone who was thinking about subbing!

I got my box today too and I really liked it. For the most part I think they knocked it out of the park. I was a bit upset I was charged for the April box before I received March’s and went ahead and cancelled for May until I see spoilers.

**Spoilers Below**

I wasn’t the least bit interested in another shadow palette but holy cow is this one gorgeous. I got the Paris one and I did a swatch of all the colors. Only one didn’t go on like butter. It actually made me want to put on makeup to work from home!

Really enjoy the stain. I love lip products more than anything. This was my deciding factor to subscribe.

The makeup wipes look nice and I totally agree with you. I believe in the power of CBDs but seriously what is this going to do for two seconds on my face? Gimmick, I guess? But the packaging is so lovely and who can’t use wipes.

Currently using Babe Lash, but the Dime serum will be next in line. I don’t need a mascara but I’m willing to give it a shot.

The serum is welcome. No matter what I put on my face, I seem to have dry skin non-stop right now. Our weather is insanely bouncing around at the moment and taking its toll.

My one dislike is the eye sunscreen stuff. My tube came with glue residue all over it which made it look like it was supposed to be sealed and had been opened. I swatched it on my hand and it’s so thick that I can’t imagine dragging this under my eyes. I wish I could think of someone to pass this off to but I just can’t.

Honestly, the stain and the serum were worth the price of the box for me. Everything else is extras and I’m happy. I find myself actually looking forward to the April box I never meant to buy!

Great review, Charlotte!

Skipped April but looking forward to my March box. I apparently can’t live without the Malaya mask or the Ayuna grommage. Lol I’ve been very skin/body indulgent.

There customer service is awful. I had issues with them. When I tried to rectify the problem they kept putting off helping me out.

I’m also bummed that we were charged for the April box before the March box shipped.

I would have liked to have known this spoiler while we still had the opportunity to cancel for April. “Sun-kissed” isn’t necessarily a good theme for my personal style of makeup, & this spoiler is an absolute no for me.

I kept emailing to find out when they were shipping and whether they’d be releasing spoilers before charging us. They said I could cancel or skip if I didn’t want to risk it, but I didn’t want to cancel as I have the introductory pricing. I ultimately decided to skip this box when they hadn’t released spoilers and I didn’t have my first box. There is an easy option to do so under Manage my Account online.

Good to know!

Hopefully, my first box comes soon. I took advantage of the introductory offer and purchased a three month subscription back in February.

Have you received a shipping notification for your March box? I got my shipping notification on the 18th, and it’s scheduled to arrive on the 25th.

I still haven’t received my first box, they’ve already charged me for a second time and I just can’t see keeping something like that unless I was in love with it, and I’m not.

Angela

Not impressed.

Ooh, this could be a wonderful box! Their site does say the pricing is introductory, though, so I hope it doesn’t go up too much.

Joan

I think this is the pricing that will remain. The introductory Pricing was offered last month at a cheaper rate. I’m still waiting to receive my first box before I commit to another one though.

That’s great to know. Thanks!

read my lips, “no more highlighters!”

side note, these retail for $26.50?! the more you know…

Dea

I remember a time when a shiny face was considered an absolute no-no by all makeup mavens and the word “dewy” meant “sweaty and oily”. Then the manufacturers gave them free highlighters and they all jumped on the bandwagon.

Alice

Yes! I don’t know why there is this fascination with looking oily and sweaty through makeup. I’m that way naturally, daily, with plain hard ranch work in hot and humid climate. I stay fashionable!
