Let's see what I received!
Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional: Hydrate Primer, 0.75 fl oz - Retail Value $32.00
Benefit is one of my fave cosmetic brands because the products work well and the brand itself is quite nostalgic for me. My bestie Julie use to work for them and she would shower me in so many products! I have always loved the cute retro packaging, too. This primer is pretty much a dream. It feels incredible on my dry skin (I am super happy I received the "hydrating" formula!) and smells great. My makeup sits really well on top and I have started wearing it even if I am not wearing a lot of makeup because it makes my skin look smoother for my Zoom meetings.
Zoeva 'Cocoa Blend' Eyeshadow Palette - Retail Value $28.00
Ok, wow. I am really impressed with these shadows. The colors I ended up with are stunning. I think there were like 10 different palettes options and I am really pleased with this demure 'Cocoa Blend' one. These shadows are made in Italy and are so buttery smooth and blendable! The only one I found to be a little lacking was the 'Substitute for Love' shade, but with a little extra attention is was also gorgeous on. My faves are the marshmallowy matte 'Bitter Start', the taupe shimmer 'Sweeter End', and the grey-lavender shimmer 'Delicate Acidity.' I hope to see more of these palettes offered by Boxy!
Top to bottom: Bitter Start, Sweeter End, Warm Note, Subtle Blend, and Beans are White
Top to bottom: Pure Ganache, Substitute for Love, Freshly Toasted, Infusion, and Delicate Acidity
Hank & Henry Midori Sponge Pair - Retail Value $23.00 (on sale for $20)
There is something really loveable about the loud chartreuse green of these sponges. You certainly won't lose them in your vanity anytime soon! Both of these are a square base shape that tapers up into a fine point. This is great for applying all over foundation as well as using that point for highlighter and buffing out concealer. Between the two sizes, I will get a lot of use out of these, especially after wetting them for more sheer applications.
Dose of Colors Lip It Up Satin Lipstick in 'Mochi', 3 g - Retail Value $17.00
I really, really wanted to love this lipstick. Even the name is something I adore! It actually looked really pretty on my arm as a swatch too, but on my lips it was kind of a nightmare. I don't know if it was my skin acidity or what, but that pretty spring pink turned into a chalky pastel pink that looks terrible on me. Formula wise, I like this finish that feels a little matte, a little satin. I would totally give this lipstick another try, just in a very, very different color.
I mean, this looks promising, right?
NOPE.
Battington Beauty Harlow Lash with Glue - Retail Value $31.00
Finally, our last item is a set of really beautiful lashes and some glue. I don't wear lashes often (especially right now...) but I am going to certainly hang on to these because I love the look of them. They have a very wispy design that makes me think of lash extensions. They also should add a more natural-looking level of volume than so many others I see come in boxes.
Verdict: My BoxyCharm box has an overall value of $128.00 which is great for a $25 box. The assortment was a little hit or miss for me this time though. I loved the palette and primer, and think the sponges and lashes will be put to good use. The lipstick was a major dud for me and I consider it unwearable, at least for myself. The formula was great though, I just think I ended up with the wrong color. Either way, the cost of that awesome primer alone more than covers the price of this box, so it is hard not to be pleased with this value overall.

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, this box is still available, but there are variations! These boxes do sell out, so if you love it, hurry.
