Does Liz not own this site any longer? The first comment I see says Meghan owns it now.

Did I miss something? I’d really like to know because certain things seem to have changed.
Thanks, and I mean no offense at all. Change is a neutral word.

I’m sorry if I didn’t make that clear. I meant the owners of the new box. MSA Is still owned by Liz according to the information under the “about” tab at the bottom of the page. It’s just my bad grammar, lol:)

I think she meant the new owner of the box not msa. I don’t think msa has changed ownership but who knows.

Mary

I don’t think that comment is correct.

I want to say upfront it would be a very boring world if we all agreed and liked the same thing. Having said that, I felt compelled to comment after going through all the postings for the Fabulous You box today. I hadn’t seen any spoilers and wanted to check them out. I noticed a few harsh comments attacking the new owners, MSA and Megan Kirkland who wrote the first review. Commenters went as far as accusing Megan of giving a favorable review for receiving the box, at no charge, for an honest review. I don’t believe for one second that anyone working for MSA would give a favorable review for a free box, as I’m sure most of you would agree!

I realize that many feel this box is overpriced and I understand that. I am looking at it from a different angle. When this box was first announced, I read their mission statement and was really touched. I reached out to the owners and having no idea who they were I wrote an email to the general address. I told them what they were doing to fight cancer, by donating a portion of the proceeds, was a wonderful thing. My mom died of a brain tumor, within three months of diagnosis. Five months after she died, I was diagnosed with leukemia for which I then had a stem cell transplant in 2018. I’m so blessed to be in remission. (I don’t have an immune system or t-cells, but I’m doing fantastic!). The two owners wrote me the sweetest email within a day because someone had forwarded my email to them. They are very caring women who are cancer survivors themselves.

I know this has nothing to do with the values or the items in the box. I also know that we can get multiple subs for the price of this one and I do love FFF, Ipsy and Popsugar. I just wanted to share my thoughts and hope we can all find a way to say things in a little nicer way. It’s just a suggestion based on the fact that the owners of these subscription boxes are people too. Best wishes and stay well.

Nobody accused her of giving a positive review for a free box. They for very good reason questioned if she would feel as positive if she actually paid for it. I wish msa would pay for everything and require the reviewers to do so because when you aren’t really out anything it does skew your review wether you believe it or not.

I had no idea that the Fabulous You Box supported cancer! That’s tremendous. I really shouldn’t be spending on these sorts of treats with the economy as it is, but I feel better about this box already. Oh and if everything were classy and perfect- what would be left to make fun of?

Just an FYI – the robe price is not inflated. That’s the cost on the site. Hard to tell about the other, no equivalent item to be found. Last box had gorgeous jewelry. Right now I’m on the fence but if they come up with something exciting I’m in. I think the price is now $155 and if you want to see the previous box you can follow the review link here.

Marion

It’s their site, they can set whatever price they want. The robe is 100% polyester. $118 is NOT a reasonable price.

Shari

I actually like the first spoiler, but that robe just seems so, so, looking for the word. Juvenile and not too classy.
I stopped wearing clothes with writing at 40, that includes cutesy sayings and Disney attire.
Each to his own some people can even pull off “Hot Momma” on there backside at 50, but not I! Give me plain classy looking pieces.
Something about this box is giving me a less than excited feeling.

shari

Every comment I make completely disappears. Sigh, I didn’t even use any colorful language!

Not to mention this robe is 100% polyester…..yuck

Oh no! How absorbent is Polyester in the Summer?
I like to grab my robe after a shower.

I really want to read the review for this box. Can someone please list the items that they have received in the past box.

Do a search here on MSA for this box and you’ll find a review with all the items listed.

Everyone of course is entitled to feel however they want about this box, but I think people are associating the word “luxe” with it because of the price point. I don’t think they’ve ever advertised as luxe — my understanding is that it’s a pampering box. Granted, the $165 per quarter is a lot and with that comes an expectation of quality. No, I wouldn’t spend $118 on a robe ever, but it’s not uncommon for subs to use products with inflated RVs (like sunglasses for $75 that are no different than a pair I could get at Walmart). Idk. Just my two cents.

Marion

Yikes. This is Not It.

Reply ButtonReply

M

Tacky robe. Kinda Dunkin colors in a juvenile font. And a RV of $118, yeah right!

This box claims to be luxe but I havent seen it. This box gives off a shady vibe to me. I dont trust them.

Reply ButtonReply

Beth

The writing on the back makes it a little too young for my taste, but I’m sure others will like it.

Reply ButtonReply

AH

This box is supposed to be luxe? The saying on that robe seems anything but.

Reply ButtonReply

Bon

I LOVE this robe!! The saying is so totally “me”

Totally a saw it, did it, left early for Netflix person now that I have a very casual lakefront living style.

I am SO glad I bought this box!! 🙂

What does 3/4 length robe mean? Is it thigh length, or knee length or other?

Reply ButtonReply

d

mid calf i think, 3/4 down your leg

Reply ButtonReply

Ashley

Yikes. This screams tacky to me.

Reply ButtonReply

Lori

Ooof. This box is like a train wreck I can’t look away from.

Reply ButtonReply

Dani

Really?? I don’t know that it’s reached “train wreck” status with only two spoilers out of 20 revealed…. I mean the first spoiler seemed to be pretty well received and while I agree with some that the writing on the back of the robe is a bit young or tacky, at the end of the day I don’t really care what my family or pets think of my robe (the only people who will see me in it anyway)… Let’s be honest I wasn’t planning on wearing to the school board meetings anytime soon so not too worried about the saying as long as it’s comfortable.

Lori

I stand by my statement 😆

Tammy

I’m so bummed that this doesn’t ship to Canada, alot of the good subscription boxes still don’t ship here, Sephora play,Popsugar, Burch Box, and it really sucks!

Reply ButtonReply

Stephanie

I’m sorry but I just don’t see the hype in this box. The first box didn’t scream luxurious to me and seemed like all the stuff was from the LA shopping district where you buy cheap wholesale discounted products. Just because you get a lot of stuff doesn’t equate quality. I’d rather get Boxwalla, BH and IGBP and Beauty Fix for the same price but much better quality.

While it’s a far cry better than that awful moisturizer, I don’t care for quotes printed on any of my clothing. I’m sure it will be a good match for others, but it’s a miss for me.

Reply ButtonReply

Lily

I m not fond of quoted prints either. It makes an otherwise nice item look cheap and juvinal

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

Agree. Why would they place these stupid graphics on a nice robe?! Ridiculously juvenile.

Reply ButtonReply

Lesly

Totally thought that said Hocus Pocus and I’ve never seen the movie so thought that’s where the quote came from. 🤣🤣

Jeannette

I love this robe. So sad it doesn’t come in a plus size. I’m barely an XL and enjoy robes to be roomy. I definitely would have subscribed.

Reply ButtonReply

Kj

I find it odd that more companies don’t offer larger sizes. They miss out on a whole segment of the population, who would otherwise buy the product. I’m right in between regular and plus sizes, but I like roomy robes also. Shame, because I love the extra length of this robe. I hate short robes, where I feel like I’m flashing everyone if I bend over. But most full length ones are full thickness and too hot during the summer.

Reply ButtonReply

Joy-Not the Other One

How do you know it doesn’t come in plus size?

Reply ButtonReply

Kj

Says it on the brand website. Only goes to XL
