Gwynnie Bee March 2020 Review
This review is for each of the three-at-a-time items I received March 13th, 2020:
Bell Sleeve Mayfair Dress by Anne Klein, Size 2x — Retail Value $45
I am working at home these days due to the current situation, but this would be a great office dress, for sure. The muted pastels and sheer bell sleeves create such a soft and demure style. The elastic waist creates an hourglass definition that will look great on a number of body types. I styled the dress with bone colored western booties to give it an earthy vibe.
Spring Florals Fit-And-Flare Dress by Collective Concepts, Size 2x — Retail Value $48
This sheer spring floral dress has it all: metallic threading, a pussybow, and a high low cut. You would think these would make for an overwhelming piece, but it is an absolutely beautiful dress! I love the pops of yellow, mauve, and cornflower against the hunter green-- the colors look great next to one another. This is a great piece to wear at the office or out to brunch. Though we are practicing social distancing, hold onto this piece to wear and stun your friends when you can hang out again!
Leopard and Rose Roll Neck Knit Dress by Robbie Bee, Size 2x — Retail Value $40.50
Can one go wrong with leopard print? HECK NO! One might consider the floral and leopard print a tad kitschy-- which is right up my alley. However, the length of the desk and the roll neck makes this a bit more accessible to those desiring something simultaneously wild, but refined. I love the structure of this dress-- it even has pockets! I paired this dress with my favorite gold western booties and my Lux & Ivy earrings from my friend, Sophie, that runs an online Etsy shop called Dreaming of Johnny! The accessories add some extra sass with a little bit of rock'n'roll, but this dress would also look great with some open toe platform sandals and oversized cat-eye glasses for a flirty date look!
Verdict: Gwynnie Bee remains one of my favorite subscription boxes to review, especially during this surreal period. I am working at home now, but when I was still going to the office only a few weeks ago I truly appreciated receiving new fashions delivered directly to me on my doorstep! Now that the malls are closed and only essential businesses like grocery and drug stores are open, a box like Gwynnie Bee can bring some unexpected joy! To normalize things at home, I like to get gussied up in a dress for "the office" a day or two a week. I love my pajamas and caftans, but sometimes it just feels good to get dressed up even to sit in my makeshift home office. I love being able to rent the pieces from Gwynnie Bee and not commit to any, especially since I am budgeting and not necessarily wanting to bulk my closet any further. Did I happen to mention I don't have to wash any of the pieces they send me? All I have to do is pack up the items I don't want into the purple prepaid return envelope and they will shortly send me three more items! It is that simple. Plus if I like an item and want to add it to my forever closet, Gwynnie Bee sells these pre-worn items at a discount. Gwynnie Bee has been having some great sales, including 60% off of at-home items that haven't been returned. Their sales and points system allow me to accrue additional discounts as well! Maybe treat yourself with Gwynnie Bee-- their month trial is 50% off!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! All three pieces are available to rent or purchase.

Value Breakdown: Gwynnie Bee’s costs range depending on your subscription and how many items you are sent at a time. I have the $95 three-item-at-a-time plan. This includes free shipping and returns. I can get as many pieces as I like monthly, as long as I return each item first. I got three items this month. The three items total up to $133.50, which is $38.50 more than my monthly subscription fee! That is a heck of a value, but imagine if had I returned these pieces and received even more! Wow!
