The Detox Box is a green beauty subscription box from The Detox Market that costs $55/month. You'll usually receive 2-3 products (although 5 this month) from a featured brand each month that follow their strict ingredient standards and help you discover non-toxic ways to continue your beauty routine. What I love about this subscription is that I can try popular and undiscovered brands alike at a really good value!
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The Detox Box March 2020 Review feat. Innersense Organic Beauty
In each Detox Box, you'll receive two cards with your products. One introduces the featured brand (Innersense) and has a short Q+A with the founders, Greg and Joanne Starkman. The other card details five full-size haircare products included and how to use them.
Innersense Pure Harmony Hairbath, 10 oz. - Retail Value $28.00
This shampoo has a light orange scent to it that reminds me of clementines. I use only a little each day to massage into my scalp which gives me a great cleanse. Before this, I was using Olaplex which is a great brand but always felt quite heavy on my fine hair. Innersense feels light and doesn't weigh my hair down at all so it's gentle enough for me to wash every day which I prefer. I also really appreciate the slender bottle that fits well in my shower caddy without taking up too much space.
Innersense Pure Inspiration Daily Conditioner, 10 oz. - Retail Value $30.00
Right after I shampoo, I use this conditioner from the mid part of my hair to the tips and leave it on while I scrub my body and shave. It has a creamy texture that also doesn't feel too heavy and leaves my strands feeling rehydrated and well taken care of. Smelling this conditioner reminds me of getting my hair washed at the salon which is such a lovely experience and makes sense since this brand was designed originally for professional use!
Innersense Sweet Spirit Leave-In Conditioner, 10 oz. - Retail Value $26.00
Once I'm out of the shower, I spray a few pumps of this leave-in conditioner to my towel-dried hair, concentrating on the ends although making sure to get it all over. It allows me to easily comb my damp hair with no snags at all which means I'm not seeing as much breakage as before. Less breakage means fewer flyaways which I was having a major problem with in the past.
Innersense Refresh Dry Shampoo, 2.37 oz. - Retail Value $24.00
This is one of the few dry shampoos I've used that comes in a pump and dispenses foam instead of a spray. Normally I don't love traditional dry shampoos because it leaves my hair feeling powdery and cakey. The foam that comes out of this pump has the same citrusy smell as the shampoo which is sort of invigorating. I take the foam in my hands and deposit it under a layer of hair at my roots and do a light massage to rub it in and continue this from my crown to the middle of my head. It immediately gives my limp hair more volume and once dry, I just give it a quick upward brush so it doesn't get clumpy. This has come in handy since these days I haven't been leaving the house as much which means less showering. But I still need to be seen on those video calls!
Innersense I Create Waves, 4 oz. - Retail Value $26.00
Unfortunately, this salt spray made with Himalayan sea salt is the one product that's not for me. My fine straight hair wants nothing to do with waves although I've tried with various salt sprays. It always makes my hair just dry and tangled. This texture spray has a unique infusion of amethyst crystal which is alluring and makes me sad I'm not able to use it. I will most definitely find a friend who will love it though!
Verdict: I am usually not a fan of hair care products since my hair doesn't respond much to many of them. However, the brand that Detox Box has featured this month has really turned my opinion around. My hair is really loving 4 of the 5 products and has been looking so shiny and smooth since I've been using it for over a couple of weeks now. I think I've discovered a new brand of shampoo and conditioner in Innersense! The value of this box is $134 which is just fantastic for a $55 cost.
